Pangea

The serpent showed a pleased expression when it heard him, it leaned forwards moving towards him until it was directly in front of his face. Their eyes met, and George tensed up, the serpent began to chuckle and licked his cheek with its tongue that was a normal one instead of the iconic split snake tongue.

George looked stunned at the serpent in front of him, noticing the tip of a small horn sticking out on the top of its lean snout, between its nostrils.

He reached out, touching its smooth grey colored scales with black swirling patterns on them.

"So soft..." Whispered George after touching its scales.

The serpent left the lake completely to join him at the shore and George saw how long it truly was, 'Around 10 meters...'

He looked at its happy expression and an idea formed in his head after noticing that it was weak to compliments.

"Do you have a name?" Asked George while caressing its smooth scales.

The serpent looked at him a bit confused before shaking its head.

"Then your name will be Uriel, a divine and beautiful name for a breathtakingly beautiful creature like you." Said George while putting on his best smile.

The serpent revealed a thoughtful expression as it began to move slowly from side to side.

George observed her, he could tell that it was female.

The serpent looked back at him, her pure white eyes suddenly starting to change.

A black ink like spiral emerged inside each of her white eyes and George felt himself lose focus when he stared into those spirals that began to spin slowly.

He found himself standing in a void that felt familiar but also strange at the same time. He had no time to be shocked as an enormous pair of white eyes with black spirals slowly spinning, looked down at him. The mixed feelings inside him intensified as George felt that the eyes were drawing something out from him that he had long ago buried deep within himself.

Thoughts so dark and infectious that he suppressed them into the deepest part of himself for his own sake when he was a youth...

The serpent stared thoughtfully at him for a while before licking her lips and nodding. It closed its eyes for a second which then returned to their initial pure white color without the black spirals when it opened them again.

George recovered the moment their eye contact broke off, shaking his head in confusion.

'What the hell was that?' Thought George confused while suppressing his chaotic feelings, he stared wide-eyed at Uriel who licked his cheek again while coiling around him.

He sighed and reached out to caress her soft scales.

"You did something to me didn't you Uriel?" Asked George.

Uriel's head moved, looking like she was giggling at him.

George was interested how she did that and glad that she liked him.

He summoned his Astral Star from within him, keeping it floating above his palm, "Do you want to come with me?"

Uriel looked with curiosity at his Astral Star and nodded.

'Nice!' Thought George as he mentally ordered his Astral Star to catch Uriel who in return didn't resist the suction force coming from the Astral Star after it floated above it.

George watched the 10 meter long serpent magically vanish into his Astral Star. He recalled it and closed his eyes as new information appeared in his mind.

'Ahhh, Uriel is a Sin Enticing Dragon and she is indeed female. Hmm? She has three skills? [Eyes Of Sin], [Gaze of Truth] and [Soulshaking Voice].' Learned George from the new information.

He had now finally time to dive deeper into all the new information he got from his two dragons, finally entering the Astral Space inside his body.

George found himself inside a dark space which only light source was his Astral Star floating high above.

He noticed the badly injured and still unconscious Inferno Dragon lying on the dark ground while parts of the small lights raining down from the Astral Star entered its body. Its injuries were slowly being healed thanks to the small lights produced by his Astral Star.

'So that's Flux, the strange energy that is being absorbed by my Astral Star...It not only heals my summons, it makes them stronger the more they absorb...It also makes me stronger but It takes more time because I have to share it...'

His gaze turned to Uriel who was resting beside the Inferno Dragon, also happily absorbing the Flux. She glanced at the injured Inferno Dragon beside her for a few seconds before turning to his direction, she couldn't see him but she felt his presence.

George felt the link between them clearly, it was strong as he sensed her emotions. His link to the Inferno Dragon was miniscule in comparison.

George retreated from his Astral Space, opening his eyes. He used his link to Uriel to inform her that he was about to use a skill on her which she agreed to.

"[Assimilate]" muttered George.

He was expecting grey scales to grow out of his skin and a power up but that didn't happen, he was assaulted by a nasty itch coming from his eyes instead.

He was confused but endured the pain coming from his eyes, 'It hurts but it's nothing compared to being burned by fire...'

The itch lasted for two minutes and George was still confused because he didn't notice any changes.

It was only when he focused on the small amount of Flux flowing through his body that realization struck him.

"I misunderstood the [Assimilate] skill, I thought that it makes me fuse with my summon for a certain amount of time but it actually copies one skill from them and makes it mine...I have now the [Eyes of Sin] skill from Uriel..." Whispered George, not really sure what to think about it.

He stood up with some difficulties, walking to the water to see his reflection. He thought about using the [Eyes of Sin] and the Flux inside his body made its way to his eyes on its own.

He saw his pupils vanish, leaving his eyes totally white until the same black spirals emerged inside them. George had to stop it immediately after confirming that it worked as it was using up his already small amount of Flux.

He sat down on the shore, doing nothing but wait for his Flux to recover.

It took him around an hour until he felt his exhaustion disappear as he had absorbed enough Flux from the area.

He had still three tries to fill up the last spot of his summons and had enough time to think about how to find another dragon.

"[Summon]" Said George as the Flux inside his body flared up briefly.

His eyes widened when he saw a ripple appear in the space in front of him and Uriel slowly emerge from it.

It took her only a second to recognize where she was and happily coil herself around his body while licking his cheek.

George felt her happiness through their connection, making him laugh.

"Hahaha, I'm also happy to see you Uriel. But I didn't summon you to play, I need your help. Do you know of a dragon that would be willing to join us? Or a dragon that we could catch to make our team complete?" Asked George while caressing her soft scales.

He didn't have any confidence that Uriel could help him get another dragon without putting up a fight but she had to at least know where to find one...

Uriel blinked a few times before sending him her confirmation through their link.

George was stunned how miraculous the link between them worked, she knew immediately what he wanted and meant and he too knew instantly what she meant...

"Really? Well then lead the way, let's visit that friend of yours."
