Pangea (3)

George had to get used to the clingy Uriel. She was 10 meters long and coiled herself all over his body with her head resting on top of his own head.

'Thank god that she is really lean, only half as thick as my arm if not...' He found himself picturing Uriel with the thickness of a full grown boa coiling all over his body and dragging him down.

He couldn't help but chuckle and shook his head to which Uriel protested as she found her new favorite spot on his head. George stopped walking, slowly lifting his hand to touch his head.

He felt like bursting into tears of joy after feeling the familiar sensation of his rastas.

"My babies are back! Thank god, I thought I would be bald for a long time!" He was so happy that he almost didn't notice the urges from the Plague Dragon inside his Astral Space.

'Right I almost forgot this fellow...' Thought George before informing it that he would use his skill on it before letting it out.

"[Assimilate]!" Whispered George as he directed his skill on the Plague Dragon inside his Astral Space.

There was a brief break where nothing happened which made him frown but the change then struck him suddenly.

Uriel sensed something beforehand, letting go of George as she jumped down on the grass.

The pain came sudden and hit him hard, he felt a fire burning him from the inside.

Breathing became difficult and his legs gave up. George was gasping for air while trying to fight against the intense burning pain coming within his body.

Uriel blinked her white eyes as she observed him from the side with curiosity.

George noticed the veins on his hand becoming visible with an unhealthy color, they were green and were violently pulsating.

"ARGH!" He couldn't hold it anymore and screamed in agony which worsened his situation as he felt like suffocating. This went on for a while until the pain finally began to lessen.

He whiped the tears from his eyes while panting hard. The green veins that popped out all over his body also returned normal and George learned which skill he gained from the Plague Dragon.

'It's [Toxic Dragonfire]...' Thought George with mixed feelings. He was happy that he gained the skill but the torture was just too much...

Uriel licked his cheek to cheer him up, making him smile weakly.

The space in front of him rippled when he summoned the Plague Dragon, it roared proudly at the sky after coming out. It had a haughty expression but it suddenly felt a cold chill run down its spine. It turned around and saw a pair of bloodshot eyes staring intensely at it between the rastas hanging down in front of the face of its new master.

George stood up, pushing his messy rastas back, revealing a demonic smile.

"Son of a b*tch! I can't wait to wipe that arrogance out of you!" Spoke George with a deep and sadistic voice that made the poor Plague Dragon take a few steps back.

Uriel went back to coil herself around him like some kind of excotic accesoir while resting her head on his soft rastas.

George kept staring down on his Plague Dragon, "I know now the perfect name for you, Hybris. That will be your name from now on." Stated George.

Hybris tilted its head in confusion but accepted the new name without knowing its meaning.

George finally calmed down, starting to analyze his situation.

'I was too rash when I departed from Earth and made some grave mistakes...I didn't change into fitting clothes or prepare anything like food and water...This isn't good...' Thought George while looking down at his tracksuit.

"Let's first take a look around." Said George as he pushed his worries aside for the moment.

He chose a random direction and began to walk that way with Hybris following beside him.

He sensed that both of them were ecstatic about the abundance of Flux around them, they were rapidly absorbing it.

'So they can absorb Flux on their own...I can then split the Flux between the injured Inferno Dragon and myself then...'

George observed the tall trees around him with awe. They were massive and just as tall as the skyscrapers on Earth.

Uriel and Hybris were also observing the surroundings with curiosity.

It took long for George to notice something amiss.

'I don't hear any sounds...There seems to be no life here beside the trees...'

There were no sounds of insects or birds even after wandering around for 15 minutes.

Uriel lifted her head, staring to the left. Her melodious voice echoed through the forest. George frowned as he and Hybris looked too to the left.

"You say that there is the end?" Asked George Uriel to be sure he understood her right, which she confirmed.

He frowned, walking towards the left where his eyes widened after seeing what lied in front of him.

George found himself at the edge of the forest where it ended. What he saw from there was a white sea made of clouds and further away he could see a wide green expanse. He realized how high he was because there weren't any clouds above him. He got goosebumps when he looked down and Hybris standing beside him took a step back after gulping.

George noticed some floating islands further down who were connected with each other through stairs.

"This...incredible!" Muttered George stunned. He was shocked to find out that he was currently on one of such islands and how good his eyesight was that he could recognize that they were connected through stairs despite being far away.

'Does this island have stairs too?' Wondered George.

He thought a bit about it and decided to check it. He walked near the edge of the island until he arrived at a black stair that lead towards the next island higher up.

'I will go up since I found it...this smells like an adventure!' Thought George who took Uriel and Hybris with him. He had never climbed so many stairs in one go through his entire life. He thanked the Flux inside him that improved his body if not he would have stopped a few times to rest.

George reached the next island and frowned after making sure that it was also lacking any lifeform beside the skyscraper tall trees like the previous island.

He continued to climb further up, visiting five more islands that were all the same.

George took a deep breath when he saw the last island in the sky...
