Chap 14

The next morning came without me getting a minute of sleep I asked the Mrs. Helen if I could have today of and she gladly complied with my request. So once I reached the dorm I immediately head towards my bed and fell into it. Maya who had still been in bed since school didn't start in another 2 hours woke up from the sound of the door opening.

Her eyes twitched at annoyance from the sound that caused her to wake her up from her precious sleep only to realize it had been me. Obviously confused as to why I came back so late, to the point it couldn't even be called late anymore.

But her stubbornness prevented her from asking as she fell back asleep until her god forsaken alarm would once again wake her up.

This time actually waking up and getting ready for school. With the little kindness she had she went up to me and shook me awake to tell told me it was time to head out for breakfast and school.

I who at this point had less then 30 minutes of sleep was annoyed but got up anyways only to explain that I was excused from going to school today.

Probably thinking I got in trouble or something she smirked and laughed. She the. Got ready and left the dorm leaving April to go back into dreamland.

By the time she woke up it was around 3 in the evening, satisfied by her sleep she got out of her bed and went to the bathroom to get freshened up. After she showered and changed Maya had came back from school and out her bag down.

"So what was your deal this morning coming into the dorm way past curfew and getting excuse from school. Oh wait did you get suspended or something" the girl didn't waste a moment to berate me. I could feel myself getting angry but pushed it back and stayed calm.

"Wouldn't you like to know, well guess what it's none of your business." I replied back thinking that it would get her off my back.

"Hmmm yeah well whatever you were doing last night probably wasn't that important anyways" Maya said annoyed and smirked and her snarky remark.

This angered me to no end knowing that she had been calling my mom falling into a coma unimportant even if she didn't know it and piled up with all the other annoying things she's done to me I finally broke.

"I guess my mom falling into an accident is pretty unimportant huh." I said passive aggressively to which she froze.

"I-I'm sorry" she said in a petty attempt to clumsily fix her words.

"Oh don't be just like every other little snarky response, oh right you are just a spoiled little brat who doesn't know how hard it is to have a single mother of poor background to try her hardest to feed you" and this point I was seething.

"No all you have to do is whine and you'll get all you ever wanted because you are a spoiled brat who doesn't know how hard other people's lives are. You should take a good look in the mirror is your life right now anything other than you asking for something and recieving it with no problems. I bet all your friends are bought with money too."

I couldn't take being in the same room as her and left the dorm with the keys given to me last night by Mrs. Helen and slammed the dorm hard. Upon walking down the hall way I bump into someone I quietly apologize and try to run away but the person grabs my arm and asks

"April what wrong? You weren't at school so I got worried?" The figure asked. I looked at them and felt myself calm down.

" I'll tell you later but right now I just need some time alone." I tried to pull away but the hand was still gripped on tight.

"Okay but isn't your dorm the opposite way your headed?" The figure asked calmly.

"Yeah but I just left from there because your sister was being an asshole so please if you don't mind let me leave." I then pulled again this time breaking free and walking away toward the empty office that Mrs. Helen let me use.
