Tour to childhood

"Why are we going to my house?"[Evelyn is angry with Daniel as he didn't tell her that they were going back to Evelyn's house. Her father's house. She doesn't want to go back there anymore! Because they don't deserve her at all. Or...maybe she doesn't blend in their world.]

Daniel- We will not go back there if they don't realise their fault![Angry]

I never knew Daniel was angry with my family. If he is angry then why are we going there? Does he want to fight with them? I have to stop him before he does something stupid!!

Daniel- Don't think too much. I'm not going to fight them.

Evelyn- Did you...did you just hear my thoughts? Can you do that?

Daniel- We are connected through your imagination and thoughts. So, it's simple to read what you are thinking. I've been doing it from the start. But somehow...

Evelyn-Somehow...what?

Daniel- I'm unable to read them when you are far from me. The distance is causing trouble. I think it's hard for me in this world rather than mine.

Evelyn- Yeah, it is a lot different than yours.....[Mumbling]

Daniel- We are here. Let's go.

[Daniel pulled Evelyn. She almost fell on the ground but avoided that fall. They passed her house. There was a little forest behind Evelyn's house. Whenever she wanted to be alone or wanted to hide from people she would've come in here. While walking she used to think Daniel was with her. They spent a lot of time here in the woods. Those times were...so beautiful!]

Daniel- Evie, look!

[Evelyn was so tired from running all of a sudden. She catches her breath and then looks forth. A pond! The same pond where she and Daniel used to play with mud. Though it's not the same as before. But it's still here! Then...that has to be here somewhere too! The treehouse!!]

Evelyn- Dan, the treehouse!

[Daniel showed her a tree just a little far from the pond. A small wooden house is covered with leaves. It's not a treehouse, but more like a ghost house. ]

Evelyn- Is it possible to go there? The condition has become so poor.

Daniel- Let's try! I will go first. It'll be my first time there.

Evelyn- First time???

Daniel- Well...physically.

Daniel went up. As I thought, it has become dangerous. Daniel almost got hurt while walking on it. He helped me to get up here. Though, I'm not sure if we can stay safe or not. We are sitting inside the house for a while.

Daniel- It feels like we are back to our childhood.

Evelyn- I don't remember you were a child!

Daniel-And whose fault it is? You made me according to your favourite singer. Just a slightly different with blue hair and long height. And why blue? Because...you love it!! [Annoyed]

Evelyn- Yeah, what's wrong with your hair? It's beautiful. Everyone thinks that you are a modeller. You can even get a job with your pretty face, you know?

Daniel- Yeah, yeah!

Evelyn- Don't you think it's dangerous if we stay here any longer?

Daniel- Well...It was made in the wrong way.

Evelyn- Wait! Now that I think of it, I was the one who made it. While I was thinking, It was both of us! First, I thought you were lazy. That's why you didn't help me to move things. But...you were never here. So, I'm the one who made this?

Daniel- Yeah. This is the very reason for the poor situation of this house.[Chuckle]

I slapped Daniel's shoulder and moved away from his side. But he pulled me into him right away. He is really warm. Though he was never with me physically, I can feel that this is the same person back then and now. A friend who never left me alone...a person who is my support. I hugged him tightly.

Suddenly, It started to rain heavily!

Daniel- We have to wait here until the rain stops.

Evelyn-Daniel...

Daniel- Hmmm? What?

Evelyn- I have something to tell you. It's really important. But first, promise me that you will listen carefully. You will not react.

[Daniel becomes quiet. His face shows that he is worried. But if he wants to know the reason of Evelyn's behaviour he has to promise her first. There's no other way.]

Daniel- ...Okay, I promise.

Evelyn- Please, answer this question. Do you want to be a human and live a life in this world?

[The atmosphere is pretty serious. The wind is cold because of heavy rainfall and the situation is somehow bad. Evelyn is feeling nervous even more now. She feels a chill in her spine.]

Daniel- Why not! If I become a human then I can live with you forever. We can be together like other human couples. We can get married like Jordan and Aven. So...yeah, I want to become a human if I get the chance!

Evelyn-What if the cost of your becoming a human is something very ...important...very serious? Still, you will want it?

Daniel- Why are you speaking like this? Tell me, what's wrong?

Evelyn- There's a way for you to become a human and lead a life in here.

Daniel- What? How's that even possible?

Evelyn- Well...it is possible. A man came from your world. He told me that there's a way. But I have to trade something for that.

Daniel-Trade? What kind of trade??

Evelyn- My memories. My memories with you. The moments that I have with you. I have to trade them. They need them to run their world, they will use them as fuel.

Daniel- That means...

Evelyn- Yes! That means...if you become a human, I will forget about you. I won't recognize you. There's.....a chance that...we will get separated from each other. You have to lead your own life. If worst, then .....maybe we will never be together.

Daniel-Do you know what you are talking about?

Evelyn- I know. But I have made up my mind. I will give my memories away for making you a human. Even if it's going to cost us.

Daniel-Evelyn!!!! Are you out of your mind???[Daniel grabbed Evelyn's hands.]

Evelyn- Dan...you are hurting me. Ahhh!

Daniel- I won't let you go! If you give up on your memories then why am I here now? I came back here for you!!! Damn it! I didn't come back because they were gonna erase me. I came back to you to make sure that we will be together forever. What if you forget me and I lose you??

Evelyn- Then what should I do? Watching you fading away in front of me?? Because of my selfish desire to be with you? I can't... I can't do that.[Crying]

Daniel-Fade away?? What do you mean?

Evelyn- That man...that man..told me that you will gradually vanish from this world...any moment...if you...stay here.

Daniel- Because of that? It can be a bluff!

Evelyn- Bluff? Then explain to me why do you faint frequently? Why can't you read my thoughts even from long distance? Why do you sleep for days, not like a normal person? Explain to me, Dan!!! Also, you can feel...that you are vanishing...a hollow feeling, can't you?

Daniel- That was.. just...

Evelyn- I don't want to lose you forever. It's better to forget.[Crying loudly]

Daniel- Tell me everything that the man told you. Tell me!!

[Evelyn was facing the ground and now she looked at Daniel. He is serious. What is he gonna do? No...Evelyn knows...what Daniel can do. If he can escape from his world just to get her then he can do anything to keep his girl to himself.] "But even if he wants to refuse to turn into a human, I will make him one...I won't bend this time!!!"[Inner shout]
