The Conference.

Obsidious sat in thought for a moment, still as the stone his throne was made of. With a loud sigh, he rose from his seat and sheathed his blade in his massive scabbard as he lumbered out of his throne room and made his way to the conference room.

The conference room was somewhat a forbidden subject, for it had nearly never been used. It was no secret matter that Obsidious often let his strength and his blade speak for him rather than his words, and it was well known that he only used this room for the worthiest or most dangerous opponents.

All eyes were on him as he lumbered through the cargo bay, his steps resounding against the metal walkways as he looked upon the glorious amounts of loot his troops had returned. He raised a fist, level with his head, signalling for his crew to return to their stations and resume working.

The conference room was at the very center of his ship, for one reason; he did not trust any of his enemies in the slightest and designed it in this manner so that if they attempted to take advantage of his graciousness and take over the ship, his troops would be upon his opponent in a matter of seconds.

Today, however, this feature was useless.

Hyperium was no regular nemesis by any means. He was the only true rival to Obsidious on all terms, by strength, speed, skill, intelligence, and their mutual lust for destruction and power. It had been a long-running rumor between the galaxies and civilizations of the former Trinity that these two would clash at some point, and it seemed that time had come.

As Obsidious lumbered into yet another corridor, three heavily armored troops began following in his wake.

These troops were the finest three members of Obsidious's Obsidian Ultimatum. These troops were only the most skilled, most dangerous, and most powerful of his army, and only skill and proven strength could get you in. In terms of rank, only a few were above them. These soldiers wore only the finest armor, used the finest weapons, and had the finest privileges in the whole army, with each of them having their own room, their own custom vehicles, and their own custom callsign. These three in question, as previously mentioned, were the best members of the 300-strong force; the top 1%, as it were.

Annihilus: Height, 7'1. Special skill, hand to hand combat. It is said that only he can spar with Obsidious and emerge the victor. He has defeated countless enemies with this skill and none so far have defeated him. He was found on a dying outpost on a raid and destroyed a shock force that tried to loot his home, showing his ability to mimic fighting styles as soon as seeing them. Obsidious noted this and offered him a position in his crew. Highest squat; 15 tonnes. Highest bench; 10 tonnes. Highest speed; 97mph. Armor coloration; Black armor, forest green secondary, and blue indigo tertiary. Real Name; Unknown. Gender; Male.

Dragon: Height, 7'2. Special skill, marksmanship. Using nothing but a rifle dated 3077 AT(after Trinity) event in question occurring at 4163 AT, he shot an Ice Drake and killed it with a single charge from over 23km away. Located on Althazar after a conquest, recruited by General Zyras after his [REDACTED] was blown up by a single shot from Dragon. Highest squat; 8 tons. Highest bench; 4 tons. Highest speed; 78mph. Armor coloration; constant fluctuation, designed to make him invisible wherever he goes as well as any objects in contact with the armor. Only visible with armor visors and helmets ranked CR-188D (Colonel and above). Real Name; [REDACTED]. Gender; Male

Warpspeed: Height, 6'8. Special skill, speed. Records of Warpspeed have yet to be found, suspicions aligning with her own statements that she was an original member of the army who gained her speed through constant training and biological enhancement from times before she joined the crew. The whereabouts of where she gained this speed are unknown and she is the fastest member of the Obsidian Ultimatum to date. Highest squat; 6 tons. Highest bench; 3 tons. Highest speed; 154mph. Armor coloration; Navy blue with white secondary. NOTE; Warpspeeds armor is designed differently to account for her excessive speed capacity and so her armor may appear cracked or broken-however, these "cracks" are merely the power lines that are shown on regular elite suits or on Obsidious's armor. Real Name: Luxia.

There is an extremely valid reason as to why such an elite, powerhouse team would be necessary to guard quite possibly the strongest fighter in the the known inhabited universe. The reason is because the one who had boarded the ship was none other than Hyperium.

Hyperium wasn't your average warlord. He was quite easily the only real rival to Obsidious's regime and the only one who posed a threat. Like Obsidious, he viewed himself as the next rightful ruler of the destroyed Trinity, and held the same lust for power and destruction. He wished to be worshipped and despised being placed among the regular mortals, seeing any who even gazed upon him for too long as those who wished to insult him.

That, however, is where the similarities ended.

Whilst Obsidious's armor was crafted for practicality and also to strike fear into the hearts of others so they would not dare to gaze upon him, Hyperium's armor was crafted to intentionally catch the eye and engraved with ornate designs from the past few thousand years, almost as if he had a sadistic want-nay, NEED, for people to gaze upon him to give him a reason to cause them suffering. Whilst Obsidious murdered his enemies swiftly and subjectively painlessly, Hyperium would drag out his kills with torture and unholy methods that were frowned upon as war crimes. Whilst Obsidious's armor was colored to allow him to blend in with darkness and shadow, Hyperiums armor was a brilliant supernova of white, silver and gold. Whilst Obsidious was a solid 7'4 but was packed with muscle on every inch of his body, Hyperium was much leaner but looked down upon him from a height of 7'8. Obsidious had a great broadsword with a mono-molecular edge crafted for efficient murder, whilst Hyperium treasured his specially crafted longsword, a detailed and aged heirloom from what he said to be his royalist family.

Through all these differences, it was clear to see why such a rivalry remained between these two, aside from the fact they both wished to destroy the other who stood in their way of total domination.

Obsidious finally lumbered into the conference room, where Hyperium was already sitting with two of his Infernal Guards, the equivalent of the Obsidian Ultimatum. As per his request, three shock patrols were around Hyperium at his side of the large room, 18 in total. Obsidious sat down in the large black chair reserved for him, and leaned forwards with his elbows on the table, staring intently at Hyperium through his visor.

Hyperium suddenly stood, all members of Obsidious's team readying in battle positions at the sudden movement. Obsidious raised his fist for them to stand at ease, noting Hyperium was removing his helmet.

It is to be noted that whilst this may seem like a trivial matter, very few people had ever had the opportunity to gaze upon either Obsidious or Hyperium without their respective helms. Only their most trusted peers had ever seen their faces, and even then, only just a glimpse.

Therefore, the gesture of Hyperium removing his helmet was not only a symbol of trust, but also of respect and honor.

Perhaps it was a mistake for Obsidious to start laughing his ass off at the sight of Hyperium's face the second his helmet was placed down on the table.
