Flowers.
That was the sole word that stuck around since having her memories wiped. But now having reminisced, there was more that added onto this concept of a word—the sight of flowers and the scent of flowers.
Veronica remembered it all; why she knew what flowers were—it was because she worked as a gardener at a flower botanical. A flower botanical in—
"Numbra," Veronica said. "Numbra District. That's my home district…"
Her head raised, followed by her body from the bed. She'd fallen asleep from the night before, and everything that'd run through her head until now were memories. Similar to the vehicle she remembered she was in, the walls surrounding her were a screaming bright white.
"That was… A.X.A.?"
The white-suited individuals in the vehicle, they were Angels. Veronica realized this. She connected the dots in her head. She recognized the things said:
"...I'm sure that by what you saw at the scene, you could easily tell she's an irregularity. This is exactly what we need, and what A.X.A. wants. An individual that will not hesitate to go forth with their unlawful actions, as they have the perfect type of brain to study, and amplify," the words echoed in her head.
She recognized the voice, it was Overseer Ariel's.
Veronica sat in silence, thinking back on everything she could now remember. Through her realizations, and the connections made, she came to one conclusion:
She'd been kidnapped.
"Does that mean…" She thought of everyone else. "All the other subjects have been abducted like me too?"
She looked to her right, seeing her roommate sleeping in bed as it must've been nighttime. It was Vidia. Then she remembered there was Vidia's brother too; Gian-Luca, and Ian, Midas, and Venus.
Realizing the danger set above each of them, Veronica's thoughts began spiraling out of control. Unsettlement filled her consciousness. Anxiety spilled from her mind and now she couldn't stop her panic. She thought of the situation she'd found herself in; it felt inescapable. The Overseers and their overwhelming powers, the never-ending amount of Angels in the facility; she was surrounded by dangerous people. Where even was the facility? She thought to herself. She realized she didn't even know where she truly was. How would she escape? Veronica didn't know. Instead, she could only fall under the pressure of the memories and worries flooding in.
Veronica felt trapped.
She truly was trapped.
Trapped deep in the unknown facility of Archangel Experimentation Association.
