Bang!
A large sound resonated from the entrance of the bay that Michael resided in.
"What was that?" He looked up towards the closed circular gate. It had formed a massive indent that protruded towards him.
"Reed?" He scrunched his eyebrows. Standing by the bloodied bodies of Ariel and Jophiel, he moved forward, approaching the oddity in the gate.
Coming face-to-face, he stopped, and listened carefully.
Silence.
"What caused this?" He looked up at the dent. "Reed? Are you trying to break in?"
Michael expected a response, but none was given. Knowing Reed even the slightest bit, Michael assumed he wouldn't simply deliver just one blow in attempt to break open the gate. "If it were Reed, he'd continue pounding even until now… So what in the world caused such damage to our facility's impenetrable entry gate?"
Michael wondered. The curiosity nagged at him, so he reopened the gate using an exclusive control pad on his forearm. Upon opening, his eyes were met with the bright fate of the tunnel's lights, and heaves of bloody dust and debris that piled in front of the gate.
"Reed?" Michael squinted his eyes. From where he saw the boy in a state of paralysis just before was now an empty spot. Looking forward with increasing panic, Michael couldn't even make out any moving figures in a mile's worth distance.
"FUCK!" Michael stomped the ground with anger.
Reed was nowhere to be seen.
"How?... I thought I induced his White Syndrome? The tunnel's lights are still activated, so how the hell did he get moving again!?"
Michael turned around. His temper boiled to unbearable heights, and he needed to do something about it.
"ARGHHH!!!" He bolted towards the unconscious bodies. With anger, he whipped a kick at Jophiel's dead body. The corpse was lurched upwards, like a soccer ball that flew across the bay's expanse.
"FUCK! HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MY NEXT SUPER SOLDIER!" Michael threw a punch into a van nearby. This led him to notice that three of them were missing from the front lane. It was odd seeing as every other Overseer was still in the facility, dead or alive. "Who the hell went out for retrievals at a time like this?" But then it struck Michael. At that point, he couldn't help but assume the complete worst of his situation.
"So the other subjects escaped too then…" To justify his growing anger, Michael tapped into the facility's camera networking system to take a look at the containment hall. "If they're smart, they would've used this massive divergence of an event to escape." Coming up on the camera view of the containment hall, Michael was able to confirm that every other subject was also missing.
Now his fury had peaked.
Michael's attention switched to Ariel who lay unconscious nearby. This only caused his anger to grow.
"It's because of reckless scientists like you and your faulty democratic methods, that this WORST-CASE SCENARIO CAME TO BE!!!"
Michael brought his heavy foot up, and stomped downwards, crushing Ariel's skull under his foot. Blood and brain matter spewed from beneath his feet, and he continued to push down until nothing but a viscous puddle was left.
"This starts the rewriting of my ideal A.X.A…" Michael lifted his foot. He shook off the excess blood. Ariel's head had been bashed in so heavily she couldn't even be recognized anymore.
"I can't have useless pricks like you, who can't even defend against their own subjects, continue to walk among us Overseers in A.X.A. Tsk!" He turned away.
Michael walked towards the stairs to the bay's exit, where he marked each step with blood-stained footprints. Streaming through the halls, Michael thought about the Garden's state. "I wonder if there're any Trinity Gems left…"
He then turned into a hallway, forgetting it had been obliterated. There in the middle, was a decapitated body.
"You're a disgrace Chamuel, for falling to the hands of your own subjects." Michael sighed.
"But rejoice. I'll soon be giving you a second chance."
