Tremors had now begun.
The ground shook violently, resonating from its origin within a tiny house in a suburb by the Heart of Jenzaya. The extremity of an individual's roaring emotion brought about his unforeseen power, which now brought forth the wrath of an irregularity.
Catastrophe, embodied into an individual.
Reed Regardius could not control the chaos he now bestowed.
From the depths of his undying rage was the swelling of emotions manifested and unchecked for too long. This power had amplified to a state of inevitability due to conditions present, that being the ones who'd sowed his seeds of rage—his parents.
A full circle of torment and torture. Having returned to square one, every part of his mentality that'd compromised with its suffering up until now had snapped, unleashing and releasing a tsunami of anger-inducing sustenance that coated his heart and pumped throughout his body.
Reed didn't know he'd withheld power like this. Even Raphael wouldn't have seen this coming.
Today, the world would come to understand the true potential behind the power of emotion.
Beneath his feet, the floor crackled. His heavy emotions grounded him in place; stuck with his burdens. With each grunt of excruciating pain, surges left his body. The surges he omitted left in waves of destructive energy that carried heat and vibrations along with it. Like a heartbeat that pumped consistently, Reed expelled these devastating pulses in intervals.
As each surge of energy radiated outwards from the little house, it destroyed everything in its path as it traveled in its directions. Ground rumblings, followed by earth-opening cracks through which people and cars fell through; violent vibrations shattered the windows of houses and buildings, breaking the foundations for skyscrapers. The tall structures collapsed under the pressure of these unstoppable tremors, bringing about dusty explosions to the areas beneath where people sat and ate lunch peacefully, for the last time.
Civilians were flattened to death by debris that rained, while others fell to their deaths with the debris that rained. People screamed, people cried, people sobbed desperation and blood before meeting their final moments with the concept of life.
These were Jenzaya District's final heartbeats.
Soon, the district, and all its population, would flatline to the wrath of a boy left unchecked.
