"Venus!!!" Midas screamed at the top of his lungs. "Wake up! Wake up!!!" He dragged his limp body across the crackled pavement. They were situated on top of a parking lot roof with only distance standing between them and the Sin of everlasting Wrath. Who was once an innocent, amnesiac, blonde boy who went by Abel, was now unleashed into a boundary undesired—Reed Regardius was back.
"Fuck! How did this happen? I thought Gian-Luca would have kept his memory-loss effect in check!" Midas looked down at Venus whose eyes had rolled up. Just moments before, Venus had sent his Phase-retrieved ability "Deception" towards Reed. But to this, Reed countered the attack with his own—"Reflection," which sent the ability right back towards Venus.
"That was the ability Abel manifested back at A.X.A… Shit!" Midas continued to drag Venus by his shirt across the floor. Although he had the counter to Reed's rampaging emotion, Midas could only do so much against the Sin. Stress provoked tension in his forehead as none of what currently happened was going according to plan. Reed was supposed to remain suppressed, but that chain had suddenly snapped. His memories had returned, releasing the demon they'd aimed to cast away with this entire operation. Soon after this happened, everyone's objective board was updated with Phase 3; eliminate Reed Regardius. This angered Midas, not only because it was absurd, but because it put his guaranteed position in danger.
"This wasn't part of the plan, Uriel…" He fumed with growing resentment under his breath. Midas was most angered by the disposition of his arrangement he'd formed in secret, which originally assured his safety. He now needed to come up with a plan soon otherwise he'd be pummeled deep into the concrete by Reed who was only a few steps away from doing so.
"THIS WASN'T PART OF THE PLAN URIEL!!!"
