"Bestie, don't stress too much." Femi said. We were having lunch at the nearest KFC and as I had promised to buy her pizza, fries and burgers, I had to keep my word.

She had refused saying that I needed to save but I had to keep my word. After all, a promise was a promise.

She reluctantly accepted and we had placed our order.

We were waiting for the food while we sat at one of the booths away from many prying eyes.

"I'll be fine, just a little stress that cannot be avoided." I said.

She sighed as the server came with our order and placed it on the table, one by one taking it from the tray that he had come carrying the food with.

"Ladies, please enjoy." He said with a smile. I returned the smile even though deep down I was hurting and nodded in response.

Femi smiled as well and thanked him before he left.

Evening seemed to be dragging itself to reach. I so badly wanted to go talk to Amari and make things right.
