"Ah, my head hurts," I shouted out getting pissed off while moving my fingers through my hair; tightly shutting my eyes and drifting into my seat; Krystal's every word was getting on my nerves becoming a mystery to me "A DEADLY SUSPICIOUS MYSTERY" because even though she knew that I was in love with Mason, she was dating him and then telling me that there is nothing wrong in loving her boyfriend. My eyes were still closed and my fingers were tucked in my hairs tightly when I heard a voice.
"What happened?"
I opened my eyes instantly realizing I was in the car with Eddie and when I came back to my senses I turned my head just to look a tensed and confused face of Eddie and when I further adjusted my senses I saw that the car was now parked near the road., "Nothing... Nothing" I quickly replied panicking a bit and waving my hands in front of my chest smiling at him while gesturing to start the car again. But he didn't do so and held my hand and asked me again "Are you sure nothing is wrong with you... I mean you are acting weird from the morning, is there something that is bothering you? You can share it with me." Meanwhile, he put another hand on my shoulder, removing it from the steering wheel.
"I am alright Eddie; there is nothing that is bothering me. I swear." I took a deep breath before saying, I didn't want him to know anything so soon because nothing was sorted out and everything was cloudy and he would also get confused only in the end. I wanted to sort everything out first by myself and then I would tell him. He returned me a smile assuring me that he bought what I said. After everything was cleared he pulled back the car on the road and started driving. As the car went further the awkwardness between us was also increasing because none of us was speaking and it doesn't happen usually; one of us always had something to talk about. Before it reached the peak of awkwardness I broke the silence and asked, "Where are we planning to go?"
"You will see it soon. I had so many plans for today," he replied which made me smile.
"Whoa! You came fully prepared," I replied and he nodded his head excitedly.
I chuckled a bit at his sudden cute action, after that we started talking about some random stuff like about his family and old jokes until we reached our destination. During the ride, we barely noticed at the time and I realized that we already were there when He parked the car near a tree; it was an empty place and was silent too but the silence there was quite pleasing and the only noise which was heard there as of the rustling of leaves and the chirping of birds, even though it was Sunday the place was empty, there was not even a single trace of any human there. when I looked around the place it looked quite familiar to me, but it took me quite time to process my brain and to recognize that place, I thought for a long time and as soon as I got an idea I shouted in excitement, "Isn't this the place where we used to come in our summer breaks, wow! This place didn't change a bit. It's already been 2 years since we came here. WAAH! "I screamed getting excited as I ran towards the empty benches which seemed like recently painted as there was the smell of paint.
I used to love that place because it was one of those places where we created so many memories or if I say this was the first place I went with someone without having a bad time. I was still running here and there meanwhile Eddie was looking at me as I was a kid and was smiling at me when I pulled him to play with me too.
We ran here and there for few minutes and then sat on the swings there, I was continuously laughing and wasn't able to take my smile off from my face, I forgot everything at that moment and was only looking at the happy moments which were in front of me.
We were on the swings when Eddie called my name and said, "How are you feeling? Jacob."
"I can't describe Eddie, I was so tensed a few hours ago and now I feel so relieved and I am so so so happy right now, thank you, Eddie. If you weren't there with me what would I have done? You are the best Eddie." I replied
"Well! I know I am great but I am not the only one who took you out and helped you, Jacob. Never forget that Mason was the one who influenced you to stand up against your dad and gave you a place to live which I wasn't able to do even I knew you more than him. And all above that, he saved your life too." He said looking in my eyes and as those words reached my brain I started realizing everything Mason did for me, he was an angel in my life who saved me from going deep into the hell and there was no way I could repay him.
My eyes suddenly became teary; I bit my lower lip in an attempt to hold them in as I didn't want to cry at all. I didn't want to ruin the mood of Eddie as he was happy and had many plans on his mind and I didn't want to ruin them. I looked away and silently the few drops of tears which were daring to come out and took a deep breath before looking back at him
"What happened Jacob, and please don't say that nothing happened because there is something that you are hiding from me." He said as I just shook my head in disagreement
"Jacob it is the last time asking what happened and if you are not telling me I will just drop you home and we won't go anywhere else." He said in a stern voice as his eyes turned into a look of suspension.
I giggled a bit so that he could think that nothing happened and maybe that worked as he asked, "why are you giggling?" as his suspicious eyes turned into crescents because of his smile.
"I am thinking that when I asked you where we are going you did the same thing and didn't tell me, no it's pay back time. I will not tell you either." I said as I stuck out my tongue towards him and scrunched my nose.
"Hey, you know that they are two different and unrelatable topics you can't connect them like this." He replied
"Still I won't tell you," I said laughing and started running around the park again, knowing that Eddie will do the same. He quickly got up and ran behind me and shouted, "Hey stop you can't do this you have to tell me."
"No, I won't because seriously it is not a serious thing which needs a discussion," I answered while my legs were busy running around; I didn't stop until I saw Eddie breathing heavily while his hand rested on his knees. "Ok! Ok! I won't ask anymore. Now get back here I am tired of running." He said still trying to calm his breath.
