CH: 51 DATE

"I am already awake, you should check before you shout." I replied as I made my way towards Jacob, after picking up an apple from the basket, he was still busy working, so I enveloped one of my hands around his waist and said, "Good morning! Love." I wrapped the comforter tighter around my body, as the warmth was still lacking. It was already February and it was still chilling outside, and inside.

"A person should better reply when someone is calling out for them," he said again as sarcasm flooded his words and moved his body a bit away from my grasp.

I pulled him closer as I placed my head on his shoulder, taking a support, "OK... I agree it's my fault, now tell me what you are making?"

"Nothing!" he replied without sparing any glance at me, I understood he was still angry at me. "I said I am sorry, you know how tired I was. I merely got any rest because of my examinations and projects."

He pouted as he continued with his work without bothering himself to give a reply, "ok! I promise I won't do that again, and if I do that, you can punish me in any way you want. You can ignore me, you can stop cooking for me, you can..." I said, but soon was cut off by a smirking Jacob, "any punishment."

His smirk was telling is very obvious intentions, and depicting how his mind was wandering around some very dirty thoughts. After living with Jacob for almost 6 years, it became common for me to read his mind by seeing his expression which climbed over his face.

"Yah! You pervert... I am not talking about that kind of punishment." I said as I removed my head from his shoulder and took a full view of his face.

"What are you thinking about; I never said any bad thing." He said as I smirk got wider than before. "And still whatever I am thinking is my choice as you said it depends on me." He continued as I looked at him while munching on my apple.

I removed my hand from his waist as he asked me to, because he wanted to wash his hands, "you are a pervert, but an innocent one." I said earning a muffled laugh from him.

He smiled at me before going back to his work, he was cooking from god knows how many hours "stop gawking at me" I l for some work after I removed my eyes from his figure, but was again distracted by him, He was looking so cute, yet hot while working like that in the kitchen. I was again brought out of my thought by his voice "take a bath, we don't have much time left and I am done already so go fast, till I pack them all. And all above that you are reeking like a dead meat." he said.

"Yup! Yup! I'll go." I said as I threw the leftover apple in the dustbin before heading over to the bathroom for taking a quick shower.

"Ah! It's so relaxing." I moaned in relaxation, as the warm water touched my bare skin giving me a feeling of comfort. I was so excited about the present day as we were going on a date, after a long time. I was so busy for the past 1 month because of my college and stuff.

After I finished taking a shower, I dried myself with a towel before changing into a plain black hoodie which had a white short underneath, and completed my look with a denim blue loose pants. I smiled as I checked my reflection in a full-length mirror, "whoa Mason, you turned into ta quite smart, and personable man. Didn't you?"

"No, you are getting ugly day by day, you know what I am quite worried what people will think, when I'll tell them you are my boyfriend, I am sure they will laugh at my selection." I heard Jacob spoke, bringing me back to reality.

"Yah! You should know that you have such a chic boyfriend you can't just say this to him." I said as I walked towards him and wrapped my hands around his arm.

"Dream that." He said before discarding my hand from his arm and moved towards the closet to take his and mine muffler.

"Don't expect that I'll give you mine muffler, like last time. I would prefer letting you freeze to death." He said as he threw the muffler at me.

"Yeah! Yeah! I will remember it." I said. We both went towards the living room, as he started accumulating up the basket while I picked up my phone plugging it out from the charger, and picking up the power bank too. I was about to pick up the car keys when I heard the doorbell ring, "who's there, did you called Krystal, because I didn't call Eddie." Jacob said, earning a no from me. He went to check the door, while I sat on the couch scrolling through my phone.

It already passed 10 minutes, but there was no hint of Jacob, returning. I placed my phone in the pocket and stood up to take a look for him, that's when he came back with an unreadable expression on his face, he had a nervous smile on his face which was more confusing than anything.

"What happened?" I asked, but soon I was appalled when I saw a kid around5 or 7 years entering the living room while holding a minion teddy in his hands which was almost equal to his height and a bag pack on his shoulder. I glanced at that kid and then back at Jacob in hope of getting a relevant answer for this surprise.

"Who is he?" I asked as confusion flushed my brain.

"It's a girl Mason." He said, ignoring my question.

"That's not the point here; the point is what this kid is doing here," I asked again in anticipation of getting a reply.

"Actually..." he said, taking a pause.

"Actually?" I recited.

"Her family had to go out because her granny got into an accident, and it was a bit difficult for them to handle her while taking care of her granny so; they asked us to babysit her for a while." He replied as he bowed and placed one of his hands on the girl's shoulder who was staring at my face blankly, maybe exploring for something.

"But it was supposed to be our day," I said as I whined.

"I know, but how can we leave her alone and you know we should help each other." He said giving me his puppy eyes.

"But... ok! But we are still going out." I finally agreed.

He nodded his head in agreement as he smiled at me and then at the girl, "Mihee, say good morning to your uncle." He said to the girl.

"Hey! I am not an uncle, I am still young." I countered his words and was taken aback when I caught Mihee laugh. "But you sound like an old man, brother." She said, making my heart melt and ache at the same time.

"You are right Mihee; he is an old grandpa," Jacob stated as they both burst in fits while I just stood there sulking. "Oh! Come on she is just a 5-year-old girl you can't do this to her." Jacob spoke as he looked at my pouting state.

I just turned my face away, as I could listen to Jacob and Mihee giggle. A smile crept over my face as my heart melted away at her cuteness; I stooped in front of her and said, "Ok! You can call me uncle, but he is older than me so you should call him grandpa."

She nodded her head enthusiastically and gave a toothy smile, radiating her sparkly eyes, and plump cheeks which had sinks of sweet dimples.

We finally made our way towards the car after we picked up all the stuff and locked the door, eagerness was easily visible on Mihee's face, she was maybe more excited than me and Jacob, I giggled at her cuteness before I adjusted myself in the driver's seat and Jacob sat beside me in the passenger's seat with Mihee in her lap, resting peacefully.

We finally reached at the amusement park, as it was the only place we could go with Mihee, Jacob took Mihee with her to take passes while I went to the parking area to park the car. When I returned I saw Jacob was holding Mihee in her arms and was playing with her it was so heartwarming watching him play like this.

We moved inside and wandered here and there to decide which ride we should take first. And finally, we agreed to take, some rides which were eligible for a kid of age 7 like those teacup rides and merry go round and so. Mihee was enjoying to her fullest but on the other hand, I was so bored because Jacob's full attention was centered on Mihee and he even forgot that I existed, because he left me few times just to join her in some rides, it would be so childish to say I was jealous of a 7-year-old girl, but yes, I was so jealous of her, "it was our date." I said to myself as I stomped my feet on the ground and went behind Jacob who was heading to a balloon seller with Mihee.

Almost half of the day went away and Jacob was still busy with that kid and I was feeling like a third wheeler who just ruined their date. "Hey! Massy why are you zoning out again and again." He asked as he laid down the mat we were sitting on from the past few minutes. "Nothing! Just feeling a bit tired." I said before I yawned, he looked at the blue sky while I saw Mihee slowly climbed above Jacob's chest and hugged him, "brother, I am feeling sleepy and tired." She said as she yawned lightly earning a chuckle from him.

And here was an another dose of jealousy for me, I was seething with jealousy because that was my place where she was lying, "I also did the same, why didn't Jacob gave me that reaction" I said to myself as I frowned looking at the extremely sweet scene in front of me.

"Ok! Let's go to home then.so you can rest." Jacob said as he patted Mihee's head and kissed it.

I looked at them when Jacob asked me to bring the car while he collected the stuff. I forced a smile before I went to the car and drove it back. I waited until they both comfortably sat in the car after putting our things in the car. I drove to our home and when we reached there I saw Mihee was already asleep in Jacob's arm, and he was now lifting her up. It was a pleasant yet a sour scene for me. I followed them after I picked up the picnic basket and the mat.

Jacob gently placed Mihee on the bed and went to the washroom to fresh up after I came out of the washroom, I laid beside Mihee, she was snoring, I started at her features which were so cute and made me smile. But at the same time, I was so happy that she was asleep, because now there was no one to interrupt mine and Jacob's day for probably the next few hours.

I watched Jacob as he came out of the washroom, now wearing a sweatpants and a black sweater, he smiled at me when we made eye contact and eventually laid down on the bed beside Mihee.

"Massy you know what you should learn how to control your jealousy." Jacob pronounced as passed his hand through Mihee's hair.

"Why should I? you were so busy with her that it became hard for you to notice me," I said turning my face so that my back was facing him.

"She is just a kid." He replied and chuckled.

"So what? It was our time at the last."

"But still massy, ok... I am sorry I will repay it to you, I promise."

"We'll see."

I turned again and saw Jacobs eyes were fixed on my back which was now staring at me, a smile made its way on my face as I again spoke.

"But still doesn't it feels like a happy family, you, me, and a kid."

He nodded as he smiled back.

"Such a sweet family, you are the mom, I am the day and she is the daughter," I said looking at Mihee.

"How come I am the mom?"

"Don't you know the bottom one is the mom."

"But... hey! What do you mean by bottom, who said I am the bottom one?"

"I said that," I replied as I earned burning glares from him.

"We will see that later." He said suddenly turning his voice in a stern one which sent shivers through my whole body; I smiled in a bit fear before we both also drifted to sleep.
