The Hearthbeat

Pierce yawn as he wakes up and his head hurts like hell.

Pierce sit on the bed and cover his face with his hand because of the pain in his head. like he was run over by a bus.

Then he suddenly smell the aroma of the room. "This is not my bedroom" Pierce said to himself. still covering his eyes.

He remove his hand and see it's lucifer's bedroom. he examine the room and see almost 6 alcoholic bottle in the table. Then he felt a small movement in the bed. Pierce turn around and see lucifer sleeping without a shirt on.

He slowly walk to get a glass of water to remember anything that happen last night.

He drink the water and sit down to focus all his attention of what happen last night.

Memories started comingback bit by bits.

(the awkward moment at the car, drinking almost 6 bottle, sobering up in the bathroom, his circle mark becoming half cirlce) "wait, what?" he said to himself. "My mark was temporarily weaken?" with shocking face. then he remember staying on LUX to sleep because he was drunk.

While Pierce was thinking someone called his name causing him to lose focus. "Hey Pierce .....did you sleep well?" Lucifer said after yawning.

"Kinda, my head really hurts" Pierce reply

"Well your immortal but you still feel pain, right?" Lucifer said to Pierce. Pierce nodded to lucifer.

Ring..... Ring..... Ring.....

Pierce check his phone (sees the time)

Ugh.... it's 9:00AM (picks up the phone)

"Hello Ella, what's the lead of the new case?" Pierce said with strong voice.

"Yeah lieutenant it appears that Chloe still have one case left, can you just postponed it because, you know Chloe being in the hospital" Ella said like loud at first but mumble at the end.

"Ella I know, you don't have to worry I will take over Chloe's case, ok" Pierce said to Ella. "ok lieutenant bye" Ella said "Yeah" Pierce reply (drops the call).

"Alright Lucifer I'm going to my house to shower and change then go to the Police Department, what about you?" Pierce ask while staring at Lucifer. "I'm going to visit Detective if you know, if she is already wake up" Lucifer said with smile on his eyes. Alright Lucifer Pierce said.

Pierce walks to the elevator but suddenly he stop as Lucifer ask him, "Where are you going?"

To my house, Why? Pierce's eyebrow raise while looking at Lucifer.

"Well from what l can tell,... you don't have you motorcycle with you..... so your going to get a cab,.... right?" Lucifer said.

"Yeah! so?" Pierce reply

"I can just drop you at your place, it's not that far from the hospital, anyway" Lucifer said with a smile in his face.

"Sure" Pierce said

I just go take a quick shower Lucifer said. Pierce nodded "sure"

Lucifer steps in the bathroom while Pierce is just sitting across the room waiting but not bothered.

Pierce started his thought again "Last night at the car why is my heart beating so fast?" Pierce said to himself still questioning it. Maybe it has something to do with my mark weakening?

He thought about if for so long that he snape out of his thoughts when Lucifer came out of the bathroom with only a towel on his lower body.

Pierce see's Lucifer's chest as he walks to the closest and his heart started beating fast again, his face turns red and he started shaking. "Good thing Lucifer didn't notice"  he said to himself. once lucifer is in the closest he sigh with relief.

A few mins Lucifer got dress "Come on Lieutenant" Lucifer said Pierce nodded trying to forget what happen.
