Battle Of SurGone #2
"Adventuring around the marsh area. I came across what was a dark, dark pit that led to what I thought to be hell. Screaming from the walls as I descended, bones visible of others acts of bravery, dirt running against my garb. Moisture on the floor of which I landed."
"The stench was horrible."
"So many bodies laid dormant, decomposing by the second."
"I looked at my surroundings. Three paths to chose from."
"I heard rumbles and growling from one direction...
So I followed."
"You followed?!"
"Yes! Let me finish."
While walking through this cave like area, I noticed what was causing this gnashing and rattling.
A prisoner.
He was very young...
I approached the chained up boy and asked him...
"Who are you?"
"..."
"Why are you here?
"I... killed"
He was a murderer, but aren't we murderers also?
we protect the innocent and our home, so to me... this boy had done the same.
He had much guilt in his heart.
"So how did SurGone get involved?"
"I'm glad you asked..."
While talking with the prisoner, he shouted!
"BEHIND YOU!"
SurGone was quick but not quick enough.
He almost took my head clean off!
He swung a huge axe and managed to cut out my eye.
"That's horrible!"
"Indeed."
Looking SurGone, eye to eye, I noticed something peculiar.
One of his eyes were different.
"You aren't walking away from this one, Wonder!"
He snapped.
But my weaponry was too great.
I killed him where he stood, with one slash of my sword - putting it straight back into its sheath.
"Wow! You really are great my King!"
Everyone praised.
"What about the prisoner? Did you let him go?"
They asked.
"Yes!"
As I was cleaning SurGones blood from my armour, I turned around to look at the stranger prisoned.
"Let me help you."
He thanked me and I offered him to join our kingdom. He already has his own home. I asked for his name but... he wouldn't give that information to me.
I thought that, seeing such brutality must have made him panicked.
"Praise be to King Wonder!"
"That's not all..."
As I walked away... I heard grunting...
"You won't... walk out of here... alive... wonder..."
SurGone detonated explosives! Sealing us inside our now to be tomb.
"How did you get out?"
"I'm getting to that."
With SurGones final breathes and acts of revenge. He finally perished.
All I could see was a blur, with one of my eyes destroyed, and dust from the rock and dirt getting into it.
I thought to myself...
"I need to clean this."
"If I don't, I won't be able to see clearly."
"Then you took SurGones Eye!"
"Um yes, and.. no. Not exactly."
"What do you mean?"
"I heard a whisper beside me."
"You... need... me..!"
"You... NEED... ME..!"
As I looked to where this voice was coming from; it got closer and closer towards SurGones body.
"Accept me..! Take me!"
His eye was speaking to me.
I didn't understand it.
But I accepted this eye, and with us now joined as one... I seen no rubble, no debris.
Almost as if that explosion never happened.
Then I arrived here, to await a pleasant surprise from our Queen. I'm filled with outmost joy and love. I'm very happy to have had this news.
"We are too my King!"
They said in agreement.
"What are their names my lord?"
They questioned with surprise.
"Sebastian and Gojou Wonder. I will raise them under love, protection, trust, and harmony. For that is the way of our kingdom. For when they grow into adulthood, one shall be crowned king of DusGoria!"
Ohhh! I get it!
Yes son.
"We will be pleased to witness such awe my lord!"
"I wish them to be become great men. Oh how I do wish them to make me proud!"
