Why didn't the king escape - using his eye,


 like the time he escaped SurGones lair?


the king was imprisoned for his abandonment to the kingdom when they needed him. 


He knows himself that he is not to blame, 


but he feels responsible at the same time.


So his time in DusGoria's dungeon is actually an act of righteousness.


If he escaped using his eye, the people would try to kill him...


But the people had mixed emotions, wouldn't the king be praised for escaping? He'd be back to protect and lead them.


Most of the people have resentment and have not let go of that one occurrence.
