Chapter 9: Papyrus

Asiya starts to find her palace life beautiful. She enjoys it very much. Everything is in order. The garden is also very beautiful. Though she is restricted to go there, Asiya can take a view of the heaven of the flowers from the windows of the palace. Turning from one window to another she takes the amazing view. She is afraid to go there because Pharaoh restricts her. Asiya is now moving from one window to another. At that time, Pharaoh also crosses the place to go to throne-room. Now Asiya notices Anmatre. She can not believe her eyes. Pharaoh has just shown her his teeth which means he smiles at her. Anmatre crosses her without saying anything. Asiya stays there with a mind full of surprise.

She is now writing. The papyrus becomes lively with her writings. She writes her feelings, her everyday activities, and more specifically about her pharaoh. Truly she is in love. But she does not have the heart to tell him.

"If he does not love me back, then what shall I do?" She writes in what we call in modern day a diary.

A diary made of papyrus, where a girl expresses her feeling towards the man she loves.

She also writes that she will feel bad, if she is sent out of this place. She feels an affection towards the place, the people who live here, the running from one window to another only to observe the magnificent surroundings. She will miss everything if she feels that Anmatre is not by her side. She loves him silently. Seeing him smiling towards her flatters her heart. She already knows that this morning brings all that are good for her.

She records her regular activties and how the man of her love feels, his moods, his works and everything, she records in her papyrus.

Now she realizes one thing. She will never let Anmatre know about her papyrus. Because if he finds out, then he will surely laugh at her embarrassing her. No,this will be top secret of her!
