The move

Recap

I heard the loud noise before I saw it. My face slowly turned to face the beaming light heading towards me fast. My eyes widened but I couldn't move, everything around me slowed and I was able to see the people inside shouting and pushing in hopes of making a change, I could do nothing but watch. I felt the sudden hit in my stomach first, then my head smashed on the floor, oozing blood. I felt nothing, just emptiness.

The darkness enclosed me, as though it was ready to devour me, and I would let it. This wasn't the light they told me I would reach…

I struggled to get my breath back, feeling my eyes watering heavily. Lilly was still lying next to me and that re-assured me.

"Only a dream" I whispered to myself, patting my chest where my heart would be, careful not to wake Lilly.

I decided to get up and take a shower, the warm water hit me like a release. I loved showers, they provided a way for me to think deeply and start the day with all my thoughts sorted.

Today's the day I left all of this with probably not even a goodbye, I didn't know whether or not I was ready but it honestly didn't matter. Mary and John wouldn't let me stay either way. I knew I would miss Lilly but maybe it was for the best. A new start is what I needed and what she needed as well. Maybe it was the way I would finally start to forget...

My attention came back to reality and looking down I saw my skin going red from the scorching hot water, that was my cue to leave. The water traced down my sides down to the floor, creating a puddle in which I stood. I put some clothes on and straightened my hair, I had to look good and prestigious considering I was going to a private boarding school.

Once I was ready, I tip-toed out of my room and went downstairs to eat some breakfast. Like always I had to eat the leftovers, but I didn't mind... Any type of food makes me happy.

Food is bae for sure!

Once I had eaten, I looked at the clock and decided it was around about the time that I had to leave. I went upstairs, kissed a beautiful, sleeping Lilly goodbye and wrote her a note saying that I'll miss her and to always eat her vegetables.

Ready to finally leave this hell hole, only to enter a new one.

I grabbed my suitcase and walked down the stairs, out the door. There was a driver waiting for me with a black car and the boot open to put my suitcase in. Ofcourse, THEY weren't going to drop me, they'd be too busy to care for the likes of me...

I took a deep breath and told myself it was okay. It was actually better, I wouldn't have to worry that much about keeping my back straight and not looking out the window because it was 'improper', I could enjoy this ride and let myself go.

After placing my suitcase in the boot, the driver opened the door for me and I stepped inside. It was a nice car with leather seats and amazing air conditioning. The driver nodded at me through the rearview mirror in an attempt to signal that we were about to start. I just nodded back and put in my headphones, playing cotton candy sky's by esthie.

I let everything fade away and for once I felt like I was allowed to feel happy. I felt free in a way I hadn't ever before. It was as if no matter who tried to stop me and no matter what happened I was me and nothing could change that. I told myself that this was what I would try to be from now, I could finally imagine my future, not anybody else's, mine. It felt good. I felt good.

As I continued with this feeling, I felt my eyelids becoming heavy and I allowed myself to let them close... For once I wasn't scared...

I felt someone shaking me and as I slowly opened my eyes I saw that the driver was shaking me. Once he saw that I had woken up he started talking,

"Miss we've arrived" He was an old man, maybe 50, with fine lines around his eyes and forehead. He seemed sweet.

"Call me Eva" I said with a smile, I didn't like being called these weird hierarchy names, anyway he was older than me and I needed to respect him not the other way around.

"All right Eva, Let's move your suitcase out." He chuckled. Ah the warm moments I love those.

Before I had even gotten out of the car Uncle Bob (I'm gonna call him that as I don't know his name) had already picked up my suitcase and was walking towards the school.

"Bloody fast for an old man" I muttered whilst kicking a stone... At this point I looked up at the school for the first time.

"Holy mother of ice lollies-"

The school was a mansion. Bigger than a mansion, it was a castle. The architecture had been well thought through with pillars supporting the building. The middle of the building had 3 entrance doors all a light brown wood colour. The pillars, painted white, contrasted with the yellow-brown tinge of the rest of the building and reached a few feet above the three doors. There was a fountain out front surrounded by perfectly rounded trees that framed the pond's circular shape well enough to let it be seen but also keep it elegant. The grass covered all the mud, At first I couldn't see any mud so I bent down to touch it but once I did I realised that it was real, it was just taken care of perfectly. The school broke off into two sides, which stood at the same height curving in towards each other, and it made a very royal appearance.

I was interrupted from my trance to hear a continuous honking behind me. What I saw awed me even more...

It was a Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX, incredibly expensive and absolutely gorgeous. I was a bike rider myself so the attachment I felt to it was justified okay. ITS JUSTIFIED!

The person riding it was continuously honking but it didn't affect me, I was too infatuated with the idea of riding the beauty that all sound had disappeared. Only when I heard the squeaky and high pitched voice of a....

okay fine it wasn't squeaky or high pitched, quite the opposite... uhhh deep and low-pitched? is that the opposite I don't know you figure out!

You? Who are you talking to?

Ugh never mind you get the drift.

Only when I heard the deep and hoarse voice of a very cocky person did I finally snap out of it.

"You like what you see?"

"Yeh in fact I do, keep the helmet on and everyone will adore u... Maybe look in the shop for a helmet for the rest of you."

Dammit, helmets are only for your head stupid. he didn't seem to notice my little mistake and I didn't let it surface, my head held high and my back straight.

"Feisty, I like it"

"Arrogant, I don't like it" I said while taking a step forward.

He then decided to take off his helmet, which I genuinely wish he hadn't. The guy was fine and he knew it. He showed off a smirk which was held by perfect lips that almost looked like they were carved by an artist.

Stop staring! You're just proving his point.

"Poops, my words stand no chance now"

He looked shocked by my honesty. I owned up about the fact that I was wrong, I don't have a hugeeee ego you do realise, I understand when I'm wrong.

He shook his head then shouted "Pops, Move your car, that's my parking spot."

I decided to answer, "Uncle Bob isn't moving the car unless I say so and from the looks of it the space doesn't say reserved or have your name on it, so we won't be moving"

Uncle Bob was definitely confused about his new name because he replied with "Uncle Bob? My name is Edward..."

"Uncle Bob stays, end of discussion." I said with a cheeky pointing index finger.

Whatttt! Uncle Bob is originalllll.

The guy on the bike just rolled his eyes and got off his amazing bike. I was now able to see just how pooping tall he was, almost 6 foot but not there maybe 5"11 against my 5"2 self. I guess you could assume that I was...intimidated to say the least. He walked up to me and bent down a bit only to whisper, "You're messing with the wrong guy, princessa"

"Ooooo, intimidateddddd" I replied with a winning smirk of my own, he just smirked back and walked off leaving his bike in the middle of the parking lot and not giving a care in the world.

Interestingly I was fascinated by his attitude, but I knew I would have many chances to see his attitude in the future, even if I didn't want to...
