At three o'clock in the afternoon, Alexa and Melvin were in the waiting room, waiting for Joey who was having a head hit. They sat on chairs that were close to the cream-colored walls that dominated the entire hospital's walls.
"Have you had lunch?" asked Alexa glancing at Melvin who was sitting hunched over with both elbows on his thighs.
"Not yet," said Melvin.
"Then, I'll buy food for you," Alexa said then stood up to walk out of the hospital to find food, but Melvin stopped her by grabbing her hand.
"No need," said Melvin pulling Alexa to sit back down. "You just sit here with me until Dante comes. After Dante comes later we can eat together outside," he continued.
"Okay, but Dante is taking too long," Alexa said, glancing down the corridor.
"Perhaps the traffic is blocked."
Alexa fell silent again and glanced at Melvin, who looked so gloomy since Joey fell. "You're worried about her."
