Parent's Arrival

After receiving treatment from the doctor, Joey felt better. She didn't want to move because it would hurt her. Sometimes the woman still sobbed when she remembered what happened today.

"Are you still in pain?" Melvin asked sitting in the chair beside the bed.

"It hurts, everything hurts," Joey answered blankly.

Melvin sighed, looking pityingly at Joey then wiping her tears gently. "I know this is a very difficult thing for you. But you have to be strong because I believe God has other, more beautiful plans behind all these events."

"I lost my baby...."

"Yeah... It left before we saw... It's okay, maybe this is the best way for it," said Melvin patiently, trying to strengthen Joey.

"I lost my love ... My husband ...." Joey sobbed even more, then looked down at her bandaged right leg. "I also won't be able to ice skating anymore....everything is ruined...My life is ruined!"
