Dex the Historian

''Right...'' Ramses tries to examine the paper,' I don't get it at all...' he deadpanned at the written paper,'' are you like sure you didn't get it wet or you might have given us the wrong piece.'' Ramses question me.

I was sure enough that paper is the only thing the mysterious man had given me, the source of my problem, I'll ve sure to give him a handful I finished talking to him.

''yes...'' quietly I say,'' I don't understand what it says either, but he told me that it could help me somehow...'' I stared at them,'' aren't you guys are like super smart... demigods for a reason?''

Dex laughs at it,'' you are kinda correct we were gifted with such power and intelligence is sure of them but then again were demigod of something. Right now we're not the demigod of intelligent... and those letters encrypted into the paper, I don't think we've seen those kinds of language or sort of it...'' he sighed.

Dex looks at Adriel who was quiet got closer to him," it's not ancient greek?" Adriel who took a peak of the paper shook his head.

''if it comes from the man then the answer must be on earth, or we'll never know until we bring you back to earth and ask the man himself what he means," he continues as he slumps into the chair.

''Right now the only person who's able to bring you back is not allowed to see you,'' Adriel finish.

''But why?'' you question them.

''Well, we have an issue with the man,'' Dex told me,'' and I don't think he wants to do anything with us.'

''Barely anything,'' Adriel scoffs.

I look at Adriel who was sour at the mention of the mysterious man that has the possibilities to help me get back home.

"Shouldn't we try? Please I want to -" I was cut off by Adriel as he stood up from his place.

''Whatever we can always find a way to get her back, we don't need him at all,'' Adriel scoff yet again.

What's up with the demigod?

She frowns at Adriel when he refuses to ask any help. As Adriel walks away, Ramses following behind him and he excuse himself, he would be looking for some books that might help translate the language. When Dex suddenly appears in front of her and smile at her gently as she returns him too.

''Do you think you all could bring me back?'' I frown at the thought of not going back. I'm the only child of my family, but I chose to live alone, sure no one is waiting for me back home since I'm no social butterfly, but I couldn't help to feel a little bit homesick.

''I'm sorry Amethyst,'' Dex looks at me,'' If I could help you I would whisk you away back, but as powerful as we are, we are not matched with our parents and the barrier is always up preventing us from doing something as powerful as this.''

''Barriers ?''

''Ah... we haven't mentioned that you think as powerful as we are we still have to abide by some rules here I mean what's a ruler without adjusting a few rules right?' he smiles,' you humans work to abide by the law. As well as demigod and gods, those barriers are for protection from inside and outside. We protect the people of Olympus from outer attack and inside from creating havoc again, just like the wars before us.'

''There are others than here?'' I asked, getting interested.

''Well, of course, some of us are actually requested and allowed outside the barrier, those are the one who protect humans from the bad side, like a guardian Angel! Humans are under the protection of the good side, so humans tend to for tell the stories of us only not beyond of here because no human has ever seen or know more.'' He smiles. I was going to ask when Dex puts his finger on your lips.

''No. I'm not telling you either it's better if you don't.'' Dex snickers at me as my face turn a bit red from Dex touching my lips with his soft fingers, but I get a hold of myself and shrug letting him continue.

''Well those barriers are a good use for some of us but not to all,'' he looks over to your back at Adriel as he sat with a book in his hands and Ramses looking over to the scrolls that are spread at the floor and Jacob in no sight.

"Adriel lost his mother to the barrier that was put up,' my eyes widen at Dex statement,'' it was the war between the three powerful gods Zeus, Poseidon and Adriel's father Hades. It was the battle of a lifetime; we were only 12 years old when Adriel had to see his mother being ripped away by the barrier.''

''You mean Persephone?'' he nodded,'' your kind was right about Persephone being kidnapped by Hades. Still, they never mention that she was dead, humans thought that Hades had her locked up in the castle and only given permission to see earth half a year.'' he sadly smiles,'' they weren't wrong either but they weren't right either.''

''What happened?''

''Well, after the war was upper roaring us demigods was sent back from Olympia to Olympus since the barrier is used to keep demigod whose status is important us being 7 of Olympians biggest sons and those who were unimportant out. But as you know, Zeus and Poseidon are always closer than their will ever be with Hades and knowing they can't just leaving Hades in the outer barrier. They had kept Hades in the castle and banish Persephone to the outer of the barrier and had Adriel see to warn him if he ever crosses the others just like his father and Hades was sent to the pits to uphold Kronos's tomb as soon as he was back at the castle.''
