Earthquake

As she was about to plan the demigods' death for this chiton when she notices the other two demigods standing on each of her sides, eyes as sharp as eagles, looking ahead for any danger.

As she scans her surroundings, seeing that the earthquake or the rumbled had come to a stop.

''Where are we? Did the earthquake stop?'' I asked the demigods.

I waited for the answers when suddenly Jacob bends down, and I take a step back to see what he was up too when suddenly his eyes turn a flashing green for a moment as the land around him started to grow flowers.

I stepped back as I see his action in motion and I didn't notice I accidentally bump into Adriel, he did in a matter of fact.

I look to Jacob as he touches the ground again and a glow started to appear in his fingertips, eyes closed for a moment and opening them into a shade of gold.

''It's not an earthquake –'' brushing his clothes off the dirt –'' someone was tampering with the land below us and trigger a shake.''

He shrugs and looks at Adriel,'' Brother... I think someone is tampering in the underworld.'

''Impossible, I sealed the gates.' Adriel's eyebrow quirk questioningly and disbelieve that someone was brave enough to tamper what's his.

''Not if you have the key you don't,'' he started,'' or someone broke in and was touching something they're not supposed to causing the effect.''

She had heard the two demigod discussing theories and curiosity got the best of her.

''Wait? That rumble was caused by something Adriel's house?''

''I think so thy...'' Jacob's looks at me,'' but we're not sure until we check.''

''We have to go now, Brother..." Jacob ushers his older brother.

''No.'' I look at Adriel whose sour face was showing.

''What? What do you mean, no?'' Jacob's loud voice echoes into the woods as she flinches at the loud voice.

''We are not going Jacob, you are to stay here and find Ramses and Dex and figure what is happening from up here, the underworld is my part.'

''But, Riel you-'' he was interrupted with a silent gaze.

''I'm not bringing her there, it's dangerous beside if it's from there I'm going to handle it alone,'' he looks at me,'' I'm not risking anyone's life right now Jac.''

He pointed at me a figure; he must hate you, huh...

''But... brother, you can't go alone the souls they –'' a hand suddenly grab hold of Jacob's shoulder as he looks to see her hands in his shoulder and sparks flew all over the place, if only Ramses were there he would have harvests of love.

"Jac, I think Adriel right... no one knows the underworld better than him, and if there is a danger I know he'll be able to fix it, besides,' I look at Adriel's heated gaze, and I try not to cower in fear,'' I trust him, and we might be a distraction if they are any danger, it'd be more dangerous.''

Jacob's shoulder slumps and nods; nonetheless and I smile at him reassuringly.

I looked back at Adriel and took a step forward to the demigod. As each step I took, I could feel my heart dropping by the second, but I was determined to this, not that I know why.

''Whatever happened down there you promise me Adriel, you will return alright?''

''I know.''

''Please stay safe.''

''I know.''

Another lack of answers.

As Adriel stood back, he whispers something under his breath and then suddenly a large portal started to open in the ground, not wanting to fall you stood back and unconsciously held Jacob's hands.

"Jacob, you know you're responsible for right?' Adriel question, eyes are looking, which was supposed to look at Jacob's eyes to the connected hands.

Jacob yet again nod.

Not noticing the gaze of the glimmering red eyes of the demigod of the underworld, as the two hands connected he vanish in thin air so as the portal close.

Jacob's shoulder slumps yet again as he magically pulled out a thick satin and drapes them into her shivering state.

She didn't realize the chilling night had cripple into their skin, too astonished to see how mighty the demigod is, Adriel is something.

''Come on thy..." Jacob took her as he wraps his hands in her shoulder for another protection,' let's get you out of this weather, you might catch hypothermia and start looking for the others, and we might be able to help Adriel."

I couldn't agree more.

Silence had taken over as them as she held into the thick satin, Jacob pulled out, and as both of them walked in silence. She looks over the demigod beside her who was dragging his body to walk, he was sulking, and she didn't know what's wrong.

''Where are we?'' I manage to start a hearty conversation to pass the awkwardness.

''The woods.''

''Which part of the woods exactly?'' hoping that the sulking demigod gets to speak more, she didn't think that Jacob was getting the hint of the situation, that this is the exact definition of awkward.

''My part, we're not exactly far from where we were, Adriel didn't transport us far... just a few kilometres from the border.''

''The borders?''

''Yes, if we walk back there -'' As he pointed back -" we might reach the border.'

He slumps yet again, but her eyes hardened, then what the hell were we doing here, she could go home right now, and everything will be solved.

She stopped her track and retracted back into the other direction. Suddenly Jaconb's figure stopped too and held her wrist, preventing her from moving and held a questioning face.

''The direction is that way,'' he pointed ahead, and I nodded my head understandingly, but I was not going to the other way, I'm going home.

''I know, but I am not going that way,'' I shrug and shake my wrist as Jacob looks at me dumbfounded.
