CHAPTER 3

Darius' POV

Standing before me was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen, she had a tanned body much to my preference, her violet eyes twinkled with mischief and when she made eye contact with me her lips turned up into a soft smile, but as her gaze shifted from me to Natalie who was clinging onto my arm with my hand in hers, the mischief in her eyes was replaced with the look of hurt and sadness, my wolf purred in despair. I wanted to make her happy and I wanted that smile back on her face, but her plump lips pulled into a straight line.

"Walk on little muskeeter we have loads to discuss!", Sebastian yelled at her motioning her to come to us, she did a little jog gracefully coming towards us and damn her scent! It was overwhelming, I felt myself getting distracted by it but willed myself to pay attention. She stood right infront of me never making eye contact, her eyes glued to the floor. "What are you waiting for?! Introduce yourself silly girl", Sebastian sneered and she giggled at his impatience. "Hi my name is Jacqueline but everyone calls me Jac, apparently Jacqueline is a mouthful", she spoke, her voice was like a melody, it was so soft and full of tenderness. I was hoping for her to shake her hands with me like all her fellow Trainers had done but I was met with disappointment when she bowed her head and nodded towards me, "Royal Alpha, honored to be in your presence", she whispered. I nodded at her at loss of words at her cold act, "Former Royal Alpha and Regina", she nodded at my parents. "Sweetie there isn't room for formalities call me Martha", My mom spoke sweetly, the look in her eyes told me she liked my girl, 'huh? Your girl? She hates your guts man', Luciane scoffed, growling at me for my player ways. I rolled my eyes at him, that idiot.

"How did you get interested in such an occupation?", my dad asked with confusion, it was practically unheard of for a girl to be going for a League Trainer's position. "Well that's a funny story actually,", she giggled before continuing, "I was about 7-8? Maybe? When some kid said something along the lines of 'girls are weak as fuck, and are only worth breeding heirs'", she paused and smirked, "It was that guy", she pointed towards a brown haired boy with grey eyes. "I train him now, so yea, so much for being used as a breeding machine, don't worry I definetly DON'T treat him any different because he was my bully", she said mischieviously. My dad and Sebastian guffawed in laughter as my mom laughed. I found myself breaking into a small smile as well, she looked at me for a millisecond before diverting her attention to my legs, wait my legs?

"And who's this little angel?", she asked sweetly, my eyes widened, did she just call Darius junior... a little angel? I was about to question her when I heard a giggle and Isabelle came from behind me reaching her hands forward and shaking them with my- with Jacqueline all bussiness-like. "My name is Isabelle, I am Dari Wari's littlest sister", I glared at her for using that name, and she shrugged. "Hello Dari Wari's littlest sister, I'm Jacqueline, but I let my friends call me Jac", Jacqueline said cheerfully, how can she have this much happiness in her for no apparent reason? Is she coocoo in the head? And who the fuck gave her the right to call me Dari Wari? "Can I be your friend then? Then I get to call you Jac!", I sabelle said excitedly. "Well usually I don't trust just anyone into my life, but you seem loyal so I guess I could make you my best friend", Jacqueline said into Isabelle's ear but it was loud enough for all of us to hear.

"Momma momma! Jacqueline said I can call her Jac because I am her best friend!", Isabelle exclaimed, and Jac giggled softly placing her palm on her lips in an adorable way, goddess she is perfect. 'simping now are we?', Luciane teased and I shut him out. "If you are done entertaining my sister, can we get down to business?", I asked coldly, sorry I am not a partial person. She turned to Sebastian and nodded. Hold the fuck up! I asked her that question, is she just going to ignore me? She passed by me, accidently brushing her shoulder with mine on her way, making delightful tingles rush throughout my body. I knew she felt them too when she froze for a moment and shuddered.

We talked about Jacqueline's physical and mental strengths and weaknesses she was literally perfect. Both physically and combat wise, she had all the strengths and curves to grab attention. I wonder if she is a virgin? I thought to myself and growled as I thought about anyone else touching her. I only realized a good 5 seconds later that I had growled out loud and everyones heads snapped towards me. I excused myself and asked Sebastian where the restrooms were, "Ah, there's one down the hall, but we can't risk you getting lost now can we?", I was going to snap at him for thinking I couldn't find my way through this place when he turned towards Jac, "How about you show him to it?", He asked and she nodded slowly. Walking over to me she held the door open for me, I was supposed to do that for her though! Not the other way around.

I walked through the door and she followed after me, soon taking a few strides to be ahead of me, she turned down one hall and checked to see if I was still following which I was, I checked out her rear again, god her plump ass looks so- "Oof!", I bumped straight into her back. She turned around to glare at me fire igniting in her eyes. I glared right back with the same intesity, mate or not, I need respect, like I said I am not partial. "May I remind you that I am your Royal Alpha, mate or not, I demand respect from you!", My voice thunderred. "Well congratulations, at least you acknowledged the fact that I am your mate, baby steps I guess?", she said sarcastically. "So this is what that attitude is about? Me not acknowledging you? Sorry I don't want people to know you are my mate", I sneered I meant the last statement to be sarcastic but when I thought back to it, it sounded so bad.

"Wow, just wow", she breathed out, she started speed walking towards somehwhere and I ran to catch up to her, "Listen! I didn't mean it like that!", I tried to explain. "This is the restroom and I suppose you will find your way back to the meeting room, right Alpha?", she spoke in a cold and down to bussiness tone. Something I did not like one bit but before I could further say anything she was already gone, I don't know this nutty woman, but I want her, need her...
