Once again, Qiao Ruo felt empty as she made her way back to the event. Fortunately, she had studied the map attached to the invitation much earlier, and found her way to her seat quickly. The seats were colour-coded, and she and Xinyuan were assigned to a red table a considerable distance from the stage, but where they could witness the stage performances with ease. About half an hour had passed since the event had started, and she had taken her time to return to the ballroom, after much wondering about where her former lover had disappeared. Qiao Ruo swiftly took her seat next to Xinyuan.
