"What are you doing in my mansion?"

Azriel stayed by Nesryn's side all week in the hospital. Unlike last time, she was asked to stay in the hospital for a whole week for the doctor's in charge of watching over her health.

This struck Azriel as unusual, the doctor kept assuring him that Nesryn is fine but won't let her leave the hospital.

Whenever he brought this fact up, Nesryn would immediately change the topic. He wanted to ask about it but decided that it was better to keep his mouth shut. 'Let her tell you herself in her own time' he reminded himself.

He would go home at around 8pm, end of visiting time in that hospital and would return at around 9 am the next morning. Nesryn kept protesting that he should get back to his job but he will always reply with the same answer.

"How can I go to work when you're not there with me?"

Those words were enough to shut his secretary up. He had his chef prepare her meals that were nutritious but light on her stomach. He consulted with her doctor first, regarding what she can and cannot eat just to be on the safe side of things.

Nesryn might not admit it but she's really thankful that Azriel was there with her. She told her mother to go back since her father was left with her brother and that's a hard task for a 20-year old while attending college.

Kathleen left hesitantly but was rest assured by Azriel. The CEO was able to convince her secretary that now that they were in a different setting, they should just talk to each other like casual friends.

Nesryn was hesitant at first but slowly gave in when she noticed her boss wouldn't drop the topic soon enough. The doctors constantly checked on Nesryn's condition and to their great relief, she's slowly recovering, slowly but surely.

Azriel also brought some of her clothes from the mansion, much to her surprise. He loved accompanying her for a walk around the hospital garden, a recommended exercise by her doctor.

Nesryn kept telling Azriel that she was fine and he could go back to the office but to no avail it only fell on deaf ears.

The Evanders' family butler welcomed his master and his secretary home, ever since her hospitalization, Azriel stood guard beside her every time. Nesryn's eyebrows furrowed when her boss suddenly dashed forward and took a chair out for her.

This might not be the first time he's done this but something about how her boss was acting but this struck Nesryn as an unusual behaviour.

The two enjoyed a quiet dinner prepared by the chef. Azriel kept track on how much she's been eating without her noticing.

If he deemed that she ate too little, he would put more meat on her plate without saying anything and he would ignore her constant stares.

After dinner, Azriel went to his in-home office and decided that it was best to catch up to whatever he missed during his one week break from the office.

Nesryn hot on his heels, he tried pushing her away and sending her back to her room to retire early for the night but the stubborn woman wouldn't let go.

He had no choice but to allow her in the office, he sat down behind his desk, put on his reading glasses and started with a file. Nesryn stayed on the seat in front of his desk, her sapphire eyes focused on the iPad in front of her.

Azriel stared at the woman in front of him, a small smile etching itself on his face. Surprisingly, he was able to convince her to stay at the mansion longer than what they previously talked about.

The two finished more than half of the piled up workload before deciding that they finished more than enough for the day. He walked her back to her room "Good night Nesryn" he softly said, a smile present on his handsome face.

Nesryn flashed her boss a smile before saying her own good night and closing the door of her room. Azriel walked back to his room in a happy mood.

The sapphire-eyed secretary was the first one to wake up the next morning, she immediately hopped in the shower and took a bath. She dried herself up, using a blow dryer so she could fix her hair first.

She braided her hair, as much as she can without needing someone else's help before going through her closet to pick appropriate work clothes for the day.

Nesryn picked a baby blue, long sleeved top, with sleeves flared up and a same colored ribbon around the neck.

She paired it with a navy blue pencil skirt and black stiletto. She chose a small bud earring to complete her look, with a satisfied nod at her reflection, she left her room with a black bag slung on her shoulder.

Nesryn quickly went to her boss's room to hear the shower running. She grabbed a few of his clothes from the closet and hung them on the clothing rack so she could choose what suited her boss for the day.

She was so into staring at the clothes that she didn't even notice two arms snaking its way around her waist. Nesryn snapped out of her reverie when she felt a breath fan behind her ear.

She turned around and was startled when she came face-to-face with her boss, their faces a few centimeters away from each other.

Nesryn let out a loud shriek and her legs gave out under her, she would have slumped on the floor if it wasn't for Azriel, who immediately held her tighter.

"I am sorry for scaring you, are you okay? Are you hurt?" He quickly berated her with questions, his hazel eyes showed nothing but concern.

She slowly inhaled and exhaled "I am fine sir but please don't scare me like that again" she reprimanded, Azriel kept on apologizing and she kept reassuring him that it's fine. Nesryn tried not to roll her eyes as Azriel kept on apologizing.

Nesryn stepped away from his hold and into the clothing rank, handing him a maroon colored, matte suit. He took it with an apologetic eye, she walked further in the closet to give her boss privacy.

While Azriel was putting on his clothes, Nesryn was picking what watch he should wear that goes along with his suit. She also chose a plain white handkerchief before walking back to Azriel, she left out a small sigh of relief to find him dressed already.

She grabbed his black dress shoes and placed it by his foot, he sat down and Nesryn helped him with his shoes.

After tapping the tip on the ground to make sure the shoes were snug, she handed him his watch while she folded the handkerchief and slid it inside his coat, she also unbuttoned 2 buttons from the collar of the neck.

Nesryn stepped back and admired her work, she handed him a brush before going out of his room. She made her way to the grand staircase and carefully walked down the stairs, maids greeted her when they saw her.

She flashed them her angelic smile before continuing her way to the dining hall where she waited for Azriel. The secretary didn't have to wait long for his boss, the two ate a hearty breakfast then left for the office. This time, Azriel was the one driving.

Eventful, that was the only word that could describe their arrival back at the company. All employees knew what happened to their boss's secretary a week ago and since then they haven't seen the two.

Employees gathered around the lobby when a familiar white sports car stopped in front of the door.

The guard quickly scrambled on their feet and opened Azriel's door, he thanked the man before going to the other side of the car, opening Nesryn's door for her.

Everyone took a sharp intake of breath when she got out of the car, her hand holding Azriel's as he helped her out.

People looked at her, she didn't dress differently from what she usually wears in the office but there was something different about her.

The two walked in, others bowed their heads in greeting. Azriel flashed them with a smile while Nesryn just looked ahead. She would usually walk a few steps behind Azriel as a reminder of her position.

But no matter how many times she tried slowing down and letting Azriel walk ahead, he would stop and walk beside her again.

Both the boss and the secretary boarded the elevator without any problem. Silence filled the confined space, Azriel turned around and faced Nesryn, startling the woman out of her own thoughts.

"My schedule for the day?"

"Oh..uhh...you have a 10 am meeting with the directors, a lunch appointment with your friends Mr. Henry and Alex, a 3 pm site inspection regarding the new hotel that one of our companies proposed,

A 7pm dinner with an entertainment company, regarding the possibility of Linus investing in the film" Nesryn said, not once looking at her iPad for his schedule.

Azriel nodded, quickly turning back around before the elevator door opened. The two left the elevator, employees saying their greetings.

This time, Nesryn was the one who acknowledged them.

Once in a comfortable distance away from the other employees, the two fell on their usual routine. Nesryn helped Azriel with everything whether it's a minimal assistance in making a cup of tea or asking for her opinion regarding one of the proposals he's been reading.

Unbeknownst to them, the whole company was talking about their boss and his secretary, no one could argue that something was definitely happening between the two. Those who saw what happened earlier that day filled in those who didn't have any clue.

Thus, the rumor of Azriel and Nesryn dating became the most talked about in the office. Employees who were present earlier that day kept spouting 'evidence' that their boss was dating.

One argued that, never once since he inherited the company and had his own secretary, he never, ever, ever, drove for them. Which was true, everyone knows how much of a playboy he is but no matter what he never drives for his secretaries, he would always have the driver ready.

2nd fact was that, Nesryn was the only one who was able to stand their playboy boss, some fell for his charm the moment they started working together, while some did last till a month later.

Azriel charmed his secretaries, some took it too far that they thought Azriel was their 'boyfriend' even though he was just playing with them. Some even started ordering other employees around spouting nonsense that she was the future lady boss of the company.

The next day though, she was fired on the spot, in front of everybody. No matter how much of a playboy Azriel is, he doesn't like girls or women that use his name for their own merit or to get whatever they want.

3rd 'evidence' an employee spouted that no matter what rumors the two faced, they don't deny the accusations personally, the company's PR department are usually the one clearing up the news, while the two were in their own happy bubble, unfazed and unaffected.

The 4th fact was that Azriel, with all his might, announced that she was his fiancee back when they were at the ball and only protected Nesryn from the humiliation when they dealt with Aphrodite.

Not once did he check on her and only stayed by his secretary's side. This fact was confirmed by Attendant Yun when he was bombarded with questions regarding what was happening in the hospital.

These rumors eventually reached Nesryn's ears and she informed her boss regarding the matter. Azriel only laughed at the rumors and said "Let them talk, those are just their opinions, why be bothered by it? You know the truth"

With those in mind, she dropped the topic and didn't mind the stares she was getting when she walked around the company. Though she had to admit, they were getting on her nerves.

The two successfully finished the day without any more damage to their reputation, no matter what was said in the company, it will stay in the company. That's how Azriel ran his empire.

One simple news leaked to the media and public could destroy their company so Azriel ensured none of his employees would betray them when they signed a contract with the company.

A breach of contract would cost an employee 5 million dollars, and an additional million if they broke other rules stated in the contract.

Azriel drove back home to the mansion with Nesryn, he handed the car keys to the chauffeur and opened Nesryn's door, offering his hand for help. A silent 'thank you' slipped out of her pink, thin lips and he led her inside.

The butler made his way beside his master, his head bowed as he whispered something in Azriel's ear. Nesryn watched in confusion and felt him tensed. The sound of heels hitting the floor resonated around the entire living room.

Nesryn looked at the grand staircase to see a woman dressed in red dress and black heels, holding a glass of wine, beside her stood a man dressed in white, long-sleeved polo shirt, tucked inside a matte gray suit pants.

Nesryn heard a growl coming from his boss, she slowly stepped away from the intense hatred Azriel portrayed in his eyes.

His deep, menacing baritone voice echoed in the silent room, causing a shiver to run on Nesryn's spine.

"What are you doing in my mansion"
