The Story of the Princess

Whispers filled the venue, Nesryn looked at Azriel and saw a genuine smile on his face. She slowly reached out her hand and placed them on his.

Azriel slowly pulled her to the dance floor as the employees made way for them.

The two stood at the middle of the dance floor, Azriel held both her arms before placing it over his shoulders, pulling his secretary closer as he placed his hands on her waist.

As if on cue, the familiar tune of Celine Dion's 'My Heart Will Go On' instrumental version, filled the event hall.

Azriel led the dance, swaying the both of the two of them side to side exactly on the beat. All employees mesmerized at the scene their boss and his secretary created.

"It feels like a wedding" a female employee whispered to her friend who instantly nodded, agreeing with her.

Azriel tall build towering over Nesryn's, his plain white polo tucked inside a navy blue suit pants complemented Nesryn's pastel blue and white sundress. He slowly twirled his secretary and received her back in his arms.

The moment so magical in the eyes of all the people as the two stared at each other's eyes, encased in their own bubble without a care in the world

"Once more, you open the door and you're here in my heart and my heart will go on and on" Azriel sang along, staring at Nesryn's eyes, confessing his whole heart out to her.

Nesryn stared at Azriel's eyes, her eyes full of love for her boss. "Nesry-" the song ended and she flashed him a smile before taking her arms off of him, before walking back to their table, Azriel immediately following after her.

The MC immediately rectified the awkward situation and immediately opened the dancefloor to others. Nesryn immediately went out of the hall, Azriel hot on her heels.

"Nesryn, wait!" He called out but she didn't pay him any heed and ran to the bathroom, a hand covering her mouth.

Out of respect Azriel waited for her outside. Nesryn leaned over the sink, color gone from her face as she started coughing violently, blood spluttered into the sink and she quickly washed away, slapping her hand over her mouth.

She winced in pain as her elbow bummed into hard concrete. She slowly sat down on the cold floor of the bathroom, trying not to panic.

It took her a couple of minutes to relax, when she felt her energy coming back to her, she forced herself to stand up and walk back to the sink to wash her mouth.

After making sure she returned to her usual color, she grabbed a couple of paper towels and dried her hands, fixing her hair and going out of the bathroom to see Azriel, standing still by the door, waiting for her.

She flashed him a sad smile and he quickly walked over and grabbed her hand "Are you okay?" he asked and she weakly nodded.

"Are you sure? Do you need anything? Food? Water?" he started berating her with questions and she placed a hand over his, with a smile on her face.

"I am fine, I just got dizzy. I do need food though and my bag" Azriel nodded and they both went back to the event hall, Azriel's arms protectively wrapped around her tiny waist. He easily maneuvered the two of them from the crowd back to their table.

"Stay here and I'll get you some food" he instructed, pulling out a chair for Nesryn, she whispered a silent thanks and watched Azriel back as he walked away from their table.

Few murmurs erupted from the crowd but she ignored them and just focused on her iPad.

A server placed a glass of juice and water in front of her and she said her thanks, reaching out for her bag, she fished out the small bottle before shaking one in her hand and immediately swallowing the medicine with the use of the water.

She winced at the bitter aftertaste but washed it away with the juice, she placed the bottle back inside her bag, just in time before Azriel came back, plate filled with different kinds of cuisines on hand.

Nesryn shared her meal with Azriel stating that she wouldn't be able to finish the whole plate. Azriel would turn his eyes to his employees every once in a while but his whole attention was on Nesryn's well-being.

The MC opened the food buffet for dinner and everyone went in line, the only one left in the table area were their boss and his secretary. Everyone watched as the two shared a plate with each other, Azriel had his body faced towards Nesryn.

Her legs were in between his as they chatted normally.

His whole body exudes an aura of possessiveness as he placed an arm on her seat, behind her shoulders and also protectiveness towards his secretary and his other employees didn't have the guts to walk closer to their table despite being in a party.

Nesryn watched as her colleagues mingled with others with a smile on her face. Azriel caught her attention and they chatted about the small things.

After dinner, the MC had few words to say before ending the party and letting all of them stroll around and enjoy the night.

Azriel invited Nesryn to wake around the shoreline of the resort and she immediately agreed, loving the beach since she was little.

It's either Nesryn doesn't know or she kept her mouth quiet about Azriel's hand slipping in hers.

The two walked on the sand and the water reached their feet, she let out a giggle and waited for another wave. Azriel watched her with a smile of content on his face, happy that he was able to make the woman he loved laugh.

Even if it's just a small gesture as bringing her to the beach.

He might or might not be the one who slipped the brochure of the beach resort to Nesryn's desk when she was not there. He knew how much Nesryn loved the water.

He would always remember her stories when she was a kid, despite coming from a poor family they were able to go out and have fun on a beach when her father was stable enough to go out of the house.

Azriel pulled out his phone and let go of her hand to let her enjoy the water, he stood aside and took pictures of her silently.

Before heading back to their rooms, Azriel took her to one of the resorts private gardens that he especially booked just for the two of them.

He held her hand and led her to a swing before walking behind her and pushing her slowly. Nesryn stayed silent as she looked up to his eyes and past his head to the twinkling stars of the night sky.

The sound of the insects filled the garden as Azriel continued to slowly push the swimming, suddenly the firefly lights surrounding the garden lit up, creating a magical sight that was so pleasant to the eyes.

Azriel stopped the swing to let her off and she immediately looked around in awe, her sapphire colored eyes reflecting the light of the magical garden.

Various flowers and different colors stood out from the small firefly lights, creating a simpler yet magical version of the Garden of Eden, miniature fountains surrounding the area.

The sound of water flowing calming the body of the people present. Suddenly at the upper right side of the garden, lights suddenly lit up, showcasing a beautifully carved archway, green vines with baby pink colored flowers.

A gasp escaped Nesryn's pink, thin lips as her eyes stared at the beautiful scenery in awe. Azriel walked up behind her, slipping his hand in hers and grasping it tightly.

She watched as he lifted her hand and placed a kiss on top on it before letting go and walking in the archway, before disappearing from sight.

Her eyebrows furrowed as she walked in the archway. A loud gasp escaped her lips as she watched her boss pull out a huge bouquet of blue and white roses with tulips.

He slowly walked over to her and handed her the bouquet.

Nesryn raised an eyebrow but accepted the bouquet. Azriel took her hand and led her to the table in the middle of the magical garden.

"Sir, what is going on?" she voiced out, fully confused on what her boss was doing.

Azriel just smiled at her and pulled out a chair for her, she slowly sat down and kept watching Azriel. He sat down in front of her and snapped his finger.

In an instant two resort staff came out of nowhere and placed 2 plates and 2 wine glasses in front of the two.

Nesryn watched them, trying to process what the hell was going on. The moment the man filled the two glasses with wine they disappeared immediately just how like they appeared.

Azriel let out a deep sigh, catching her immediate attention.

"Nesryn, I...I don't know how to say this but…."

He took a sharp intake of breath, she noticed how her boss's hands started trembling and his body became tense and restless. Worry instantly clouded her mind but before she could ask what was wrong, his deep baritone voice echoed throughout the empty garden.

"3 years ago I met a stunning young princess, she was fresh out of university and immediately applied for a job. It was that time I laid my eyes on the most beautiful woman I have ever met in my entire life.

The beauty of the world pales in comparison with her magnificence. I love staring at her sapphire colored eyes, her thin pink lips and believe it or not I love her straight-forward attitude.

She was the only woman my grandmother approved of, out of all the women that became my secretary and lovers.

She was hired to set the playboy billionaire straight, the beautiful princess was the businessman's saving grace. She was there when I cried.

She was there when I mourned every year on his mother's grave. She was there when I found happiness, a happiness I found in the princess.

Grandma thought I would forever continue my playboy tendencies but she didn't know that there was only one woman that completes my life and the others were just simple plain rocks against a precious jewel like her.

The young princess loves staring at the night sky, pointing out the constellations she knows. She also loves going to the beach and would giggle merrily whenever a wave hit her feet. She might be the breadwinner of her family but in my eyes she's my whole entire universe.

No one could compare to her light, no matter how much the world drags her name to the mud, she's still the most perfect jewel I will ever lay my eyes upon. The princess is sickly, she gets tired and bruised easily.

I could not rest cause I knew how much she sacrifices for her family. I could feel how much the princess loves her family even though they are so far apart and could not see each other everyday. I saw loneliness in her sapphire's eyes.

Whenever I see those emotions in her eyes, I would beat myself up because I couldn't ease her longing.

When she cries I can feel my heart and soul being torn to pieces and then slowly, without realizing it. I fell in the rabbit hole called love. I don't know what I did to deserve a princess so precious like her in my life.

I thought it was a joke of faith and the destiny toying with me as punishment for all the heart that I broke but no it was not. She was there standing beautifully, her brown hair curled on the end, swaying behind her.

A beautiful smile etched on her angelic face.

I will never forget that face, the only face that stuck in my head. Every night, I would dream of her. I wish to have a happy and long life, that I would enjoy with the princess by my side.

The princess no longer can be called a princess, the once shy princess bloomed into a confident queen that doesn't need a king by her side.

I was satisfied to watch her grow, I started fooling around once again, afraid she would slip away out of my touch if I confessed my feelings to her.

Little by little the queen whipped me to shape and motivated me to focus on my dreams.

I wanted to say that none of the money and the company was my dream, it was her. She asked me what I wanted for my birthday because she doesn't know what to give me.

She said I had everything I could ever want but for the first time she was wrong. I didn't have everything.

I don't have a mother, I don't have a complete family and I didn't know what genuine love feels like but there's one thing I really wanted to have. One thing that could put a smile on my face no matter how bad my day was.

It was her, the queen. I don't have her and I know I will never have her, she was too great for someone like me, I know I don't deserve her, after all the things I've put her through, I know she's better off with someone else but why?

Why does my chest heart when I think of her with another man other than me? I finally knew the answer. It was right in front of me, my grandma told me why a couple of times but I was too ignorant to accept that it was true.

Now I want to scream it to the whole world, I don't want people to know not because I am shy or disgusted about the thought. But why let the others know when my whole entire world was just sitting in front of me right now?"

Longing hazel eyes stared at teary sapphire eyes, Azriel clenched his fist and forced himself to look away from the queen in front of her to continue his story. Nesryn knew who he was talking about, his description fit her perfectly.

"The princess I met grew into a queen right in front of my eyes, a queen that doesn't need any man to hold her hand and protect her, no. She's a queen and a warrior protecting her own heart from destruction.

It's a very magnificent story don't you think? Are you curious about the Queen's name? The queen and the only woman I have truthfully loved? Her name is Nesryn Aileen Lorcan"

When he said her name, she immediately placed the bouquet on the table, stood up and quickly buried herself in Azriel's arms, tears continuously flowing from her eyes. He snapped himself out of shock and he instantly wrapped his arms around her.

Nesryn started hitting his chest but he let her be "What took you so long! Idiot! Dumbass!"

She continuously kept hitting his chest and Azriel kept whispering his apologies to her ear.

It took a few minutes for him to calm him down, he lifted her tear-stained face and stared at her eyes.

Before slowly leaning in and putting their lips together, he watched as her eyes immediately fluttered close and he wrapped his arms around her more before closing his eyes.

He snapped his fingers and fireworks erupted on top of them. The different colored lights highlighting their face as he kisses her passionately.
