A surprise welcomed the couple a month later in the form of an extravagant piece of hard paper. The paper itself was already something, but the contents of the paper were an even greater surprise. It was an invitation to Aspen and Carter's engagement party.

Carter had proposed to Aspen on the night of the couple's fifth anniversary. The event was just a small gathering to announce the delightful news to friends and family. But, Nesryn doubt that with this grand of an invitation and the scale of where the couple was holding the party, it was doubtful that it would be a gathering considered to be 'small'.

Fortunately for Nesryn though, Maxon had agreed to let her come to the party, a result of her month-long quarantine inside the mansion. The doctor was greatly pleased when Nesryn's condition continued to get better and better and he had someone to thank for that.
