Chapter 5

'And I would suggest you guys to leave as well because such news, if leaked won't be much favourable ; neither to Jungkook's parents and nor to yours. So yeah, since you are his close friends, I am going to get you out of this,' Officer Bait said for which everybody now stood up from their seats, 'but staying with him might not be such a good idea or else, reporters may mark you as a con gang. No offence but this is the truth. Therefore another of my private jets shall fly you out after Jungkook's gone.'

Jungkook and Sandra took a last look at each other before heading out on their different ways. The others were to go to the hotel and pack for their departure from the town.

'Oh and Jungkook, I will send someone to pick your things up for you,' Mr Bait said.

They thanked him before coming out. Jungkook hugged everyone before starting for airport except Sandra.

'You know I love you right? I always will,' the only last words he said to her in five years.

'Goodbye guys and if possible forget the whole thing. Forget that we even came here for this little trip of our own...,' he let a tear out of his right eye and with that Jimin hugged for one lat time, 'No one talks about this ever. I promise.' He left; Jungkook left.

Everyone knew they were seeing him for the last time. His father would naturally move out of the country after all this.

And that was the last time Jungkook and Sandra saw each other before coming across each other again that night after five years.

Sandra tossed and turned in the bed. She could not bring her eyelids together at all. In fact all the people who had been through that night were having a grave restlessness deep inside.

Meanwhile in his room, Jungkook could not get that one scenery of Sandra and Jimin out of his head.

'How could they... n..no no it was just a kiss. There's nothing between them..',  he consoled himself.

After all it was at such a beach that he had asked her out years ago.

The next morning, Sandra woke up with a heavy head. Somewhere deep inside she was happy to see him again. But she was not happy at all to have the flashback in her dreams last night. She thought of not being so dead over the matter which had grown old. Both life and time had moved on without stopping, she had to as well.

'Hey Jane , you know when Kai will be here? I mean you two are still together, right?' Sandra asked while sorting out her dress for the programme tonight.

'Yeah where's Kai?' Libetha asked as well when she remembered she had not seen him on the flight with them.

'Oh yeah um you know after his dad retired, he had to manage the company all alone. He was actually on an official tour. He'll be joining us by lunch. I mean that's what he said,' Jane replied not wanting to exaggerate that they were still together and Jungkook and Sandra were not.

It was about 2 o' clock in the afternoon. The programme was yet to begin. Sandra and Jimin were in the convention hall mending some last touches with Libetha and Jane, It was then that Kai came in greeting them with his loud jolly voice. Jane saw him and immediately ran to him. Kai quickly gave her a peck and hugged her.

They whispered several words and he went to his room. Jane ran back to the rest. They dare not to say any cheesy or cute comments like the earlier times. They knew very well how that would make Sandra feel.

Sandra had not seen Jungkook that day up to then. She went out to the bar since she was quite thirsty and Jimin said he would handle it.

She ordered her regular bourbon when someone sitting beside her said, 'You started drinking again?' the voice was his. She knew that tone very well. She was just so used to it. More like she used ti be used to it.

'When did I even stop..' she said without looking at him, trying hard to keep her voice stable. It was not really a question that she asked but a firm reply to him.

'Well you did stop when we were..,' Jungkook could not really complete the sentence. Sandra's straight voice kind of stopped him. He knew she still did not forget that night.

Sandra scoffed and smiled quietly and looked at him now, 'What happened? Couldn't finish?' she got up and walked away.
