2 - FAMILIA(1)

It has been a month since I woke up here in this place, and I didn't manage to discover many things about this world, other than the presence of beings that came out of fantasy books, such as elves, dwarfs, etc.

With each day I passed inside this place, I could feel that I was getting stronger, but it wasn't enough, I could easily tell that until I arrived at the 5th-floor, every enemy I faced was much more powerful than me in all aspects, it didn't matter how different they were, I couldn't match them in strength, vitality, and agility, if it wasn't by this blessed sword I found, advancing through the floors would be highly impossible.

I tried once to fight some type of Orc using a common blade, I couldn't overcome its defenses, that monster skin was hard as iron.

However, that didn't stop me from slaughtering every creature on my path, I had to get used to fighting against them, every time I was surrounded by a swarm of them I was completely defeated, if it wasn't by this broken regenerative powers of mine, I would have died on the 19th-floor already.

But this place was still extremely weird for me, there was some kind of ecosystem inside this underground place, but it didn't seem to be real, the monsters here didn't seem to need to make use of them, so its existence was a mystery.

Something that also took me by surprise was when a creature stronger than the so-called Goliath appeared in front of me on the 10th-floor, it was way faster than the other enemies I had faced before while also being extremely dangerous luckily even when that beast cut me in half I still survived, I had to enter its body and kill it from the inside since that creature didn't give me any chance to attack.

The people would usually avoid me completely, they seemed to fear me for some unknown reason, however, I wasn't expecting to be greeted with a sword the moment I stepped on the first floor.

Looking at the person who pierced me, I couldn't help but frow, she was a mere girl, she was probably a teenager judging by her facial features, and really strange from my point of view, she wears this style of loose long hair instead of tying it to prevent it from getting in the way of a fight, not to mention her inefficient armor.

The design made no sense at all and only protected some parts of her body.

"Hey, little girl, you should be more careful with that, swords are not toys, you could have killed someone if you had pierced someone else."

.....

'How?!' Ais looked at the man in front of her with a shocked expression. She pierced his heart, so how could he make such a natural expression!

Could this man in front of her not only be immortal but also incapable of feeling pain!? And his words... wasn't he supposed to be a monster?

She was so shocked that she didn't notice the moment he grabbed her sword and started removing it from his body with bare hands.

Finn the Pallum that was observing from behind furrowed his eyebrows, this human wasn't simple, he could tell that his strength was only around the level of a low or mid-tier lv1 adventure, but his eyes and aura were completely different than that of someone at this level should have, it reminded him of death...

Some passerby observed the scene completely shocked, they couldn't believe that the Loki Familia was fighting against the red reaper! The contrast between the War princess and him was really weird, she was beautiful and elegant, while he was... handsome but with a wild and dangerous aura, it was almost funny to look at the 162 cm tall girl trying to fight against the man who was 185 cm tall...

The man's long black hair tied in a ponytail that only the ancient peoples of the Eastern countries had long worn seemed to sway with the drafts that entered the dungeon. His dark brown eyes were cold and could penetrate the soul of those who looked at it.

His clothes were even more unique, they were similar to those of the eastern gods, it was a kind of black robe with golden stripes, unknown symbols and some pieces of armor.

Suddenly Finn's voice resounded around the cave.

"Ais retreat, let me deal with this."

Although she wanted to fight against him and see how powerful he was, she decided to comply with his orders.

Seeing the girl walking away and the boy approaching, he raised an eyebrow. 'What are they doing?'

"What is the meaning of your actions? Attacking a person the moment you ley or eyes on him..."

"And how do we know that you aren't a monster, you are the one that keeps walking around covered in blood, not only that, your clothes and injuries are already back to normal. It's only natural to mistake you for a monster."

Hearing his words Harrison looked at his clothes and admitted that his current visual is comparable to that of a monster in horror movies.

"So, now you know that I'm not a monster."

Finn looked at him with thoughtful eyes, he wasn't sure if he could believe this man's statement, the words of someone who could be deemed immortal from a certain point of view considering that they didn't know the limits of his immortality.

Seeing the building up tension between Finn and the red reaper, the other members of the Loki Familia readied their weapons, so long as he gave the order, they would fight against him.

"My name is Finn Deimne, what is your name?"

Hearing his question, Harrison thought for a moment, their names were a little bit unusual compared to the names back in his previous life, perhaps he should use a different name since this is a new life... He thought for a moment and remembered an old legend about the chaos and the abyss, which probably was a good name to represent his experiences.

"You can call me Tehom."

"All right, I would like you to accompany me, don't worry we aren't plotting against you nor anything similar, we just want to make sure you aren't a monster."

Tehom nodded and followed behind the man, as he walked past the adventures the majority of them gulped at his powerful presence.

Walking through the exit of the dungeon Tehom stopped to admire the beautiful sight of the guild, this place reminded him of RPG games that were popular before the war, there were all sorts of people here each one wearing their set of armor and organizing themselves in parties of three or more adventurers, he wondered if those younger ones truly knew of the dangers that lie within the dungeon.

In a month he saw more than 10 dead adventurers and all of them were stronger than those kids, of course, there were some exceptions to this, such as the kid in front of him, he is much stronger than any person or alien he saw in his previous life.

"Hey kid, what is it with those kids, why are they risking their lives to enter this hell."

Finn's mouth seemed to twitch when he heard Tehom. "There must be a misunderstanding here, Mr. Tehom. I'm way older than I look like."

"Is that so?"

"Yeas, maybe you didn't notice but I'm a Pallum."

"A what?" He looked to the kid with a curious gaze.

"A Pallum, have you never heard of us?"

Tehom shook his head and replied. "No, is this some sort of faction in this city?"

"Sigh..." Finn looked again at Tehom and was surprised with this man lack of common sense, how could he have never heard of his race? "The Pallum is a race of Demi-Humans, we are similar to humans, but we have much better eyesight and we are small when compared to most humans."

"I see." Tehom nodded.

Soon they arrived at a small room within the guildhall, Finn knocked on the door and waited for a while, soon an elven girl opened the door and looked surprised at Finn, she instantly recognized him since he was a famous individual from Goddes Loki Familia.

"How can I help you, Mr. Finn?"

"Miss Eina, it's a pleasure to meet you, I hope I'm not bothering you, but I need to report an issue to the guild."

"Okay, just let me finish something, you and your friend-" She stopped and looked at the man covered in blood for a moment, how weird that something like this happened twice in a roll..."Y-you and your friend can await inside the room."

She bowed and left hurriedly.

Finn and Tehom sat on opposite sofas and stared at each other for a moment, every time their gazes crossed it was like lightning was coming out of their eyes, it was some sort of unspoken competition to see if the other would endure the pressure.

"So, Mr. Tehom, who are you exactly?"
