***Amy's P.O.V.***
"Soooo I'm coming over this weekend and staying the night in your new home, just so you know," Sky says, closing her locker and leaning against it with her shoulder while looking at me.
I smiled, "Geez thanks for asking," I say sarcastically.
She rolls her eyes at me, "You're my bestie Am's, I don't need permission to spend time with you. You should know to automatically include me in your days. So I don't know why you act like this."
I smiled and rolled my eyes, which earns me a playful nudge in the shoulder from her.
"Hey did you see that new substitute teacher for drama class?" She asked on our way to 3rd period.
"No, why?"
She just shrugs her shoulders and looks down at her phone, "Just wondering. Ooh shit, hey I gotta go. Bryce is gonna kill me if I'm late to the only class I have with him. Says that it cuts into our "bonding time." I swear that boy gets a little bit clingy at times."
I laughed, "But admit it, you secretly love it," I say with grin.
She gives me a look that said I made a good point, but then adds, "But if you so much as say one word to him, I'll be forced to inflict severe pain on you. So don't test me, I'll do it!"
I roll my eyes and laughed at her, "You are so stubborn Sky. You're already dating each other, it's ok to admit that you like him. I mean, that's kinda the whole point of dating someone means."
She scoffs, "Pff, and let that cocky bastard win? It's like you don't even know me anymore Am's!"
I give her a confused look, Sky then sighs and placed both hand behind her back while looking down at the ground, "Well, we kinda have a bet going on, you know since the first time we fucked."
I'm sure she knows with the look on my face, that it told her I was even more confused, "A bet? What kind of bet?"
She makes a strange face for a moment while pretending to think, "Well, when we were about to do the hokey pokey that night, I kinda told him not to catch feelings for me. That this was supposed to be a one time fling."
I raised a brow at her, "And what did he say?"
"Can you believe that he refused to promise me that, AND he even said that I'll eventually end up falling for him. But he said it in a really hot and dreamy way," she says, tilting her head to the side with love glazed in her eyes, but then quickly straightens up and made a look of displeased, "But like, what a cocky little fuck nugget! Who does he think he is saying that type of romantic shit to me!?" She says, by now she was looking beyond flustered just speaking about him.
"Well, I mean...you did end up together soo..." I pointed out with a laugh.
She crossed her arms and gives me a warning look, "Yeah, you keep taking his side Am's. Anyways I told him good luck on trying to make me fall in love with him, cause it's not gonna happen," she says confidently with a smile to match.
I laughed again and fixed the bag strap on my shoulder, "Sooo I'm guessing you're loosing?"
"Horribly Am's!" She cried out, then unexpectedly threw her arms around me for a tight hug; almost knocking the books and papers out of my hands.
I laughed and she pulled back, "I don't understand! I know how to get a guy to break up with me! I've been clingy, annoying, and I'm always mean to him! But...UGH!!! Trying to get him to break up with me, is like finding water in the middle of the dessert! Every little fucking thing that I do to try and irritate him! That fucktard thinks it's funny and cute!" She makes a pouty face, "I'm not cute! Am I cute!? The only time I thought I was cute is when my grandpa called me "Dimbo" for nine years cause I had big ass ears for a little girl."
I laughed more and shook my head, "I think it's safe to say that you lost Sky."
She pouts more dramatically and looks back down at the ground, biting her lip, "But in all seriousness, I'm starting to get this weird feeling like he's been hiding something from me. But everytime I ask if something is wrong, he brushes the question off and tries to change the subject. Or distracts me with one of his MANY, bedroom talents. At first I thought it was just his way of saying that he'll tell me when he's ready. But then a couple of months passed by and now I'm starting to get really annoyed that he hasn't told me yet on what is still bothering him!"
I raised a brow at her. Fuck! What am I supposed to say!?
Uh.. yeah Sky, the reason for his odd behavior is because he's a werewolf...Apparently not the kind that dance naked under the full moon though... Yep, nope, I thought they were a nudist community also, but BOY were we so wrong!
By the way, Bryce is your mate?
"I'm sure he'll tell you what's bothering him soon Sky," I say, trying to comfort her the best way I could. Which wasn't any help at all.
Ugh! Gotta work on my people's skills, even with Sky I suck at trying to cheer her up and make her not worry.
I have to get Bryce to tell Sky soon. I don't like keeping secrets from her, especially important ones like this one. And I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to hold off.
She sighs and runs a hand through her hair, flipping all of it to her right side, "Yeah... look I'll see you at lunch Am's ok."
I nod and bit my lip as the feeling of guilt ate away at me for not telling her as she walked away from me. But it wasn't my secret to tell.
"Hey gorgeous," Christian says, coming up to kiss my forehead lightly, but then frowns once he sees my sad facial expression, "What's the matter?"
"Sky's starting to become suspicious about your guy's little secret," I tell him.
He sighs, "Mmm, Bryce promised to tell her at the right time."
He laughs softly at my displeased face, "I wouldn't worry about it too much Princess, he'll tell her. It's not a very easy subject to just bring up and tell someone, even with your own mate. I'm sure he's just worried about how she'll react to it. I know I was, but everyone's reactions are different Princess, not all are so accepting of who we are," Chris spoke gently, and then pressed his lips to the side of my head again.
I smiled and closed my eyes at his calming touch. He was right, I shouldn't worry too much. Even though I can't really help not to worry, that's my best friend we're talking about.
**Last Class**
We were headed to the last class of the day, and Christian has been attached to my side ever since we met up in the hallway this morning. Which I mean, I don't exactly mind him being around like this. In fact, I enjoyed it today. But it just wasn't like him to constantly be around me you know. It made me want to ask if something was wrong or if he needed to talk about something. Not that there needed to be something wrong, but it never hurt to ask.
Mmm, I'll ask him later on tonight when we're alone.
"Would you like to go out tonight?" He asked me randomly, rubbing his thumb across my hand that was in his.
I stopped walking and looked up at him, "You mean... like a date? Together?"
His short genuine laugh sent my heart fluttering, "Ya like a date, together. Just you and me, alone for one night. Anything can happen Princess," he whispers in my ear, before pulling back and flashing me that god damn gorgeous smirk.
God why, WHY do you let him make me blush this much!? I swear, there's gonna be SOOO many fights once I get up there!
I couldn't help the excitement in me as I smiled and laugh awkwardly at this little flirt, "HELL YA! (coughs into hand). I mean uh, ya sure, I'll be your date," I say lower, trying to play it cool.
He laughs again, catching many female's attention as they walked passed by. But once their eyes landed on me, they switched from the look of adoration, to disgust.
Making my self-esteem get kicked out of a two story window with just that one look. Making me instinctively try to hide behind Chris from all their hateful glares. Of course also trying to do this without him noticing how uncomfortable I just got.
But nothing gets passed him! Because this fucking cracker cups my face while backing me up against the nearest wall, catching me completely off guard.
"You're forgetting that I can now feel all of your emotions Princess," he whispers against my lips, pressing his body even closer to mine.
Well fuck a duck, I completely forgot about that!
"Oh really? How annoying," I blurted out without really thinking.
I feel him smile against my neck. Almost making me faint by the small puff of breath from his soft laugh. The heat coming off of his body was drowning my head.
Then he blows alot of hot air against my neck, making me laugh out loudly and my face turn tomatoe red by all the extra eyes I've collected.
"Why do you do this everytime? And in front of everyone," I asked him, pulling his head back away from my neck.
I'm not gonna lie, I love him giving me attention. I'm just....I don't know.. I'm kinda still not use to being treated the same way in the public eye you know. It's still a very strange and foreign feeling to me, and I don't know if I'll ever be use to it.
But he just wraps his arms around me while pulling me closer, then smiles, "And why must you always care about what other's think or say when it comes to us?"
I was stunned, man, he really can feel all of my emotions! My eyes widened and my mouth drops slightly. Making Christians smile even bigger before he tangled his fingers through my hair, and then gave me a kiss on the lips.
He pulls back humming to himself in satisfaction before going for my neck again, "I am very happy to call you my girlfriend," he comes up to kiss the corner of my mouth, "and my mate," then kissed both of my cheeks, "and then sooner or later, it will be an honor for me to call you my wife."
My eyes stayed wide. Is this butthole trying to send me into the hospital for a heart attack!
"Ooh... um, you might have to wait," I say with another awkward laugh. Godly come on Amy!
He backs up a little and looks at me confused, I just smile pat his cheek lightly with my hand.
"I have to talk with the teacher after this class about my missing assignments. You know, from when I was in the hospital," I said with a grin.
He groans and rolls his head back, making me laugh at him. The he smiles and looks over my shoulder and into the classroom. His cheerful face fell into a blank stare and all the color from it drained very quickly.
Uhmm ok?
I turned my head to see nothing out of the ordinary. The kids were walking in the classroom as the new substitute teacher was preparing for class.
I looked back at Chris, confused, "You ok there bro?" I asked him like that for some odd reason.
Really Amy? Bro? That's the best you can come up with?
My brows creased together at my horrible choice of words, then I shook my head while looking down to zip up my backpack. Play it cool Amy, maybe he didn't hear you.
I looked back up to see that he hasn't even moved his eyes from the substitute teacher. I turned back to look more closely at the big buff guy, and that's when my jaw dropped and eyes widened in recognition.
How could I have possibly over looked him! My god he grew up, he's not the same scrawny teenage boy as I remembered.
"Ooh my god," I say in disbelief, going to walk up to the substitute teacher, "Trenton!? Is that really you?" I asked him.
