Arrival At Fort Argon 2 (Ch.32)

~All noble things are as difficult as they are rare~

Andronika waited atop her mount, watching as the warriors from Argon rode towards them from a distance. Andronika could make out eight silhouettes of riders heading their way, she was grateful for their small numbers, it would do no good to make a fuss and alert the enemy.

Andronika steered Reo forwards to meet the general leading the team. From his armour, Andronika could tell the man before her was Birger Talheem, the most respected warrior of the south and the presiding general of the Argon fortress, the armour aside, it was obvious in the way the warrior carried himself, a man of 30 summers but whose achievements had far surpassed his age. The general dismounted and approached with powerful strides, his huge fur coat making his already intimidating size appear much more unnerving.
