The Dark Room - #2

As soon as she reached downstairs she saw a big monstrous figure from back, chopping something....

She got scared and the kerosene lamp slipped from her hand and got broke.

Now the little fire from that lamp spread everywhere through curtain very fastly.

That monstrous figure looked behind and tried to tell her something but Oriena ran away.

Then he followed her behind but

Oriena went down the basement

which was locked up from so many years

She wasn't allowed to go down there but panic- stricken & she went down without thinking for a second.

She saw the rusted gate and tried to open it by holding an old brass knob but she couldn't.

She used more force and the gate got opened and she made her way in the cold dark room

She took a deep breath and opened her eyes and what she saw was unbelievable that she forgot about what was happening upstairs.

The room was well furnished from inside and there were little lamps which was giving the light to the room.

There was a deck full of old books,

An apothecary table with some papers lying on it

A cup of coffee which was still a little warm.

She was in the moment of confusion and shock.

She moved towards the table where,

She saw something written on those papers

But as she couldn't read it she didn't understand it.

So she flipped the paper and she got more shocked as there was an old photo of her with a question mark sign.

She couldn't understand what was happening

So she folded the paper and kept it in her pocket.

She again glanced at the room and

It looked like someone was living,

There from years!

After that she noticed a box moving a little bit so she went towards it and opened it and

As soon as she opened it,

A girl with dark blue eyes, golden hair came out of it and said " Hello, my lady. My name is Atarah and I belong to the group of worshipers.

Oriena still in a confused state couldn't process what was happening.

So she tried to be present in the moment and asked her stuttering, "Wors- worshipers of what?

Atarah replied with excitement, "worshipers of you, my lady." What! Worshipers of me? Have you lost your mind or I did? Oriena said in a confused & an angry voice.
