"Geez that was a sexy ass man," I whispered to myself.

It almost been seven hours since I seen that tall brown skin guy come in here.

It was three-thirty my shift was over Nina walked in to take over since she has to close the store tonight.

"Nene you definitely told me you were coming in early today" Nene never keeps her word unless it's something serious.

"Girl hush you know I had to chill with my baby Rock, he always bitching about how I'm not spending enough time with him."

Rock is her boyfriend, they been together for almost seven months now.

He's a trapper though, it makes me nervous that he dates my sister because of what he do.

I don't want him getting my sister in the mix, I would lose my shit if anything ever happened to her."

" Mhmm well, I'm about to clock out and stop at the house to grab my wallet I forgot the light bill is due today."

Nene kissed me on my cheek, told me to be safe, and clocked in.

After I clocked out I left the store and headed towards the car that was up the block.

I manually unlock my car door, hopped in, and began to play music off my phone.

I pulled off and made my way towards my house.

When I pulled up at my house I noticed that our door was wide open. I hopped out the car and started walking up towards the door.

"Aye Ma, you in there?"

There was no answer, so I walked in. As soon as I stepped into the house my mouth dropped open. Everything in our house was gone.

The Tv, our furniture, our game system, clothes, and jewelry was all gone. My mom was passed out in the middle of the living room floor.

"Ayo mom where the fuck is our stuff? Did we get robbed?"

She finally sat up.

She just looked at me cluelessly with residue coke smeared across her face which made me more angry than I already was.

" Mom where the fuck is our shit yo did we get robbed or not?"

She wiped her nose, stood up and whispered "we didn't get robbed. I sold it, I had to. I needed the money."

My anger accumulated from a hundred to a thousand in less than a second.

I just stared at her with disappointment.

It took everything in me not to put her head through a fucking wall, so I walked away and headed towards my room.

I nearly broke down when I see my room.

It looked like a tornado came through my room. Everything I had was gone.

I ran over to the left side of my bed to see if my wallet was there...It wasn't there.

I pulled my phone out and called Nina, she finally answered after three rings.

I bust out in tears.

"Nina all our shit is gone. Everything we bought was gone, mom sold it all for coke. All the money we had to pay the bills was gone. We are gonna get evicted yo."

I could hear her breaking down on the other side of the phone. She told me we'll figure it out like always and hung up without saying another word.

Nina has bad depression, between our mom being a drug addict and her selling all of our stuff most likely just mentally fucked her up just now.

I wiped my face, grabbed my car keys, and left.

I drove nearly thirty minutes before I noticed a little park in the quiet part of downtown South Carolina.

I pulled up to a empty parking spot, turned my car off, and closed my eyes.

I try to hold myself together for my sister but I couldn't. I began to burst out in tears thinking what did I do to deserve this.

I must have cried myself to sleep because I jumped to the sound of my ringer going off.

It was Nina calling, I swiped the green button over and answered,

" hey, nene you good?"

When she began to speak her voice was cracking through the phone,

" Yeah I'm good, Rock said we can stay at his place until we figure this bullshit out."

I didn't wanna stay at his crib but I know we don't have any other choice.

I told her I'll hit her phone when I got to his house and hung up.

I started my car, did a u-turn, and began driving down the road towards Rock house.

He lived in a gated neighborhood. It was nice. When I pulled in front of the brown and black house I pulled my phone to call Nina.

"Yo this a nice ass house lol, Oo, and I'm out front".

I hung up, turned my car off.

As soon as I stepped out of the car Nina stepped out of the car cheesed hard as hell she ran to me, opened her arms, and hopped on me.

We stood there hugging for a brief moment and she whispered,

" We gotta smile through the hard times because life is only gonna get harder and harder".

I smiled and kissed her cheek before she jumped down from my hip.

Before I walked into his cold sweet smelling house I hear a familiar voice.

Me and Nina stepped inside and there's that tall chocolate boy that came in metro today.

He turned to see my face shocked. He smirks and said, "Oh shit".
