*somewhere on the beginning grand line*
a storm was going on, the wind was violent and the waves got so high, thunder was striking like crazy and the rain was so dense that you couldn't see but a meter in front of you, and in the midst of this violent storm a single ship was fighting the waves trying it best to stay on the surface, the waves would crash into it at times, and send it flying at other times, meanwhile to crew on the ship were doing there best to keep the ship working, and thankfully the ship was made to resist such hardships
inside the ship, in a room there was a tall man, about 2 meters tall and black hair was holding into a railing at a side to keep himself from getting thrown all over the place, at his waist a long sword with a black sheath and black and red handle, as you already guessed it that is our main character Arowen, he was on his way to the marine HQ MarineFord at the first half of the grand line also known as paradise
Arowen got his new uniform after the commander gave him the rank of lieutenant commander of the marines, the captain was trustworthy and had his own connections in the marines, so when he sent his report to Marineford it didn't take much time to be processed and for Arowen to be assigned his new rank, after all the captain can't just award such a rank on his own convenience, it comes with a lot of power and influence so the marines are very strict on the promotions after ensign, and each promotion have to go through screening and approved by one of the admirals and with the help of the captain's connections Arowen's file reached the admirals fast and he was awarded his new rank and ordered to reach the HQ as fast as he could, and to save time the captain sent him on his way with the new uniform, as for the badge he could only give him a temporary notice as it could only be redeemed at HQ
so that brings us to this moment, Arowen went on his journey to the sea, when they were in the blues it was a smooth sailing there were a few storms, tornadoes and even a whirlpool, but these obstacles were easy to conquer, the crew of the ship wasn't an average one but they were from the grand line, they were on an errand and so Arowen hitchhiked a ride with them, they were going to the HQ anyway, even pirated they didn't encounter any, the pirates of the blue knew not to mess with the marines and kept low key when they got wind of a marine ship from the grand line is passing by, the marines were corrupt and this is just one of the instances it shows
the ship Arowen was on reached the red line, the giant wall of red corals that separated the two worlds, one side where the seas were normal, the other where the seas became supernatural, it acted as a veil between two separate worlds, one for ordinary and the other for extraordinary,
there were multiple passages that would allow one to reach the grand line so they didn't have to pass by the same road luffy did in the anime, it was another road where there was no giant whale or old man living inside it, and they passed without problems, the overall time it took them to reach this place was around a month, the ships in this world were after all primitive and relied on the wind mainly
once they went through one of the many reverse mountains, which was a roller coaster and Arowen enjoyed it a lot they reached the grand line, at first the weather was normal for the first day and using the log post programmed to point towards HQ they made up for some of the distance fast, but suddenly like what was shown in the anime the weather changed drastically, they were met with the first natural disaster, the storm they were fighting against right now
Arowen learned for his previous lessons against storms and held on tight onto the railing being careful not to get flung around the room, the only thing he was thankful for was that he didn't have motion sickness, otherwise, it would be quite a difficult spot for him right now
two days later, they were out of the storm and could finally relax and have a rest before any other unexpected thing happened to them, Arowen was exhausted as was the rest of the crew, they couldn't sleep for two days straight, and even if Arowens physic was monstrous he still got tired, he had to hold tight for two days plus the stress and tension on his nerves left him spent, thankfully he wasn't a member of the crew and just a guest so he didn't have to do shifts with them and collapsed on the bed in deep sleep
