Chapter 4: Dance your little heart out

Sophia's POV

I was awoken by the annoying sound of my alarm clock. I rolled out of bed and started to get ready for school. After showering I blow-dried my hair and let it flow down my back. I got out so Jeans and a black, spaghetti strap crop top and change into them.

It was going to be my second day of school and I couldn't wait. Yesterday went pretty well, after we returned home Jeremy question me about my first day over dinner. After that I went up to my room an completed my homework with some help from my twinny, Rex.

As soon as we stepped out of the car Ryan and Rex were at my sides guiding me toward another car were Ash, Rosie, Jesse, Caleb, Max and Claire were standing. Everyone exchanged greetings and started talking amongst themselves. While the other were talking I couldn't help but look over at Jesse. He was a mystery, no I'm not into the whole, 'He's a mystery and mine to solve' drama that you read in books, but it would bee nice to learn his story.

I looked at the way his jawline stood sharp making him very attractive...wait, WHAT!? I'm officially losing it, I've been remotely interested in anyone before. I kept staring at him, lost in my thoughts, and ass if he could feel my eyes on him, he turned and look right at me. I quickly looked away, feel heat rise to my cheeks.

He was about to say something when Claire spoke up "I think we should get going the warning bell ill go off any second." Everyone agreed and we made our way to our separate classes, mine with Rex. While we were walking I couldn't help but look at the different bulletin boards that covered the walls of the school hallways. One particular flyer caught my attention so, I stopped and pulled Rex back so he could stop as well.

The dance tryouts were today after school in the gym. I looked at Rex with a grin on my face as was about to ask for permission to stay after school. "Rexy, can I please stay after school so I can try out for the school's dance team?" He seemed to be think about it before the warning bell went off. he didn't say anything but instead dragged me to class.

We were currently sitting around a table at lunch. Rex failed to answer my earlier question so I was about to ask Ryan and make sure I get an answer. "Hey, Ryan do you think I could stay back after school so I can tryout for the dance team?" He seemed to be thinking about it before he said, "Sure, Rex and I would stay and watch tryouts so you can stay."

Time skip (End of school)

I sat on the gym floor stretching my legs, getting ready to perform when they call my name, when a pair of feet stopped in front of me. I looked up to see a girl around Ryan's age glaring down at me. despite her unkindness I gave her a bright smile and stood up to introduce myself. I stuck my hand out while saying, "Hi! I'm Sophia. What's your name?" She looked at my hand like it was infected by some disease (CORONA!!!...LOL) and looked back at me. My smile slowly faded when I saw that she was still glaring at me.

I was about to speak but she beat me to it, "Listen here new girl, first of all, I run this show and I'm pretty sure you can't even dance to make to teams expectations. Secondly, you should just quit right now. I'm captain of the dance squad and I'm pretty she Ms. Lori (Dance teacher) would take my opinion on recruiting new dancers."

When she was finished I remained quiet for about ten seconds waiting for her to continue her rant. When she didn't I took a deep breadth and simply said, "Okay, I get all what your saying, but I'm not going to quit dancing just because you told me to. Quite frankly, you opinion of me doesn't matter to me and I will do as I please."

As soon as I was finished I turned around and walked away not even waiting for a response. I quickly made my way to the girls bathroom to calm myself down from the arising panic attack. I don't know where that confidence came from or how I was able to stand up to that girl, whoever she is, but my social anxiety was about to make an appearance. I calmed my breathing and focused on regulating my heart rate. a couple minute later I was fine. I walk out of the restroom and bumped into Rex and Ryan hurrying down the empty hallway. "What are you doing here!" Ryan asked seemingly out of breadth. I didn't even get to answer before they both started dragging me down the halls with them. "Guys were are we going, I need to get back to the gym!" I shouted as they continued dragging me with them.

Ryan glanced at me and said, "We're using a short cut to get to the gym, tryouts already started you can be up any minute." Just as he finished his sentence ewe entered the gymnasium and scrambled to our seats on the bleachers where all of our friends were waiting for us. We sat and waited for my name to be called. We sat looking at all of the auditions before my named was called I was about to get up, but a hand held me back. I glanced behind me to see that Rex was holding onto my hand. "Go out there and make us proud, dance your little heart out and most importantly, have fun. Good Luck!" He said and let me go.

I walked up onto the make shift stage and heard cheers erupt, mostly from my little group of friends. I stood in the center of the stage and waited for the music to begin. When it did everyone else disappeared, it was just me and the music. I did exactly what my twin said to do, I danced my heart out while enjoying every second of it. I was about to end dance, when I saw, from the corners of my eye, that my brother were frantically rushing out of the gym.

I completed the choreography before rushing to my friends, ignoring the applause the went through the gymnasium. "What happened where did Rex and Ryan go?" I asked hurriedly, worrying that something had happened to one of my other brothers. "We don't know, both Rex and Ryan got text messages before running out of here like there asses were on fire." Rosie smacked Caleb upside the head after he was finished explaining probably because he swore. "Well I'm going to see if they're outside, I'll be right back." with that I was off speeding down the hall, looking for my brothers.

When I finally reached the parking lot, it was to late, they were already pulling out off the school gates.
