Chapter 5

Natalie couldn't understand this woman blatantly coming into Amber's house and chewing her out for dating her best friend when they haven't dated at all, hell, she arrived today and long behold she is in a gorgeous house with a beautiful woman that makes her heart feel ten times bigger than what her husband does. That is when she heard Amber coming down the stairs with boots for her to wear.

"Sheila, why must you always argue with someone new in my home?" Amber said.

"If she plans on dating my best friend I have a right to know her." Sheila replied sternly.

"Oh lord, please help me from this mess. Sheila, Natalie has car trouble down by my driveway so I brought her here to clean up and well, sent her on her way soon." Amber responded, not backing down from Sheila.

"Amber, that is the worst way to bring a stray woman home especially when you are alone." Sheila replied laughing like nothing happened.

"Ladies, I am right here. I am going to go on my ride here soon to take me to meet someone whom neither of you need to know. Thank you, Amber for everything. Maybe someday we will catch up again." Natalie said as she got up to leave without another word and leaving both women speechless.

Natalie knew it was time to leave as she slipped on the boots and ran out the door by making her way down the driveway. She cursed realizing she left her wedding ring inside but she couldn't return inside since they were both inside but before she could get all the way down the driveway, she turned around to see that Amber is looking for her though I have hidden in the bushes for the sake of not wanting to be seen. Natalie knew she wasn't going to end up very far since she had no way of getting a ride to where she is and this is her only way into the reality of Amber. As she watched Amber storm off hurt it occurred to her that their is more to both of them than either are ready for and she still has a marriage to get out of before Amber does find out.

Natalie made her way back up to the house with Sheila twirling the wedding ring in her hand with a look that could kill.

"You couldn't leave without your wedding band. So, who is she? Is she prettier than my best friend? Does she know how to steal someone's heart and break it without actually admitting feelings? Tell me!" Sheila demanded.

For a woman like Sheila, she is gorgeous with her long brunette hair, brown eyes, and a busty body like Amber's. But Natalie had to focus as she cleared her throat.

"I am filing for divorce actually though Amber doesn't need to know the details of what is going on with me and my husband, he's an asshole and has been cheating on me with younger women. Amber isn't the first woman I have been attracted to in my past but she makes me feel things that my husband can't give me. So, will you please go bring her back. I am already feeling guilty without pursuing my heart to her." Natalie replied, wiping tears away as she stuffed the ring in her purse.

"Wait? You are in love with Amber and you two just met today and you didn't have that with your husband? Natalie, wow, you are amazing. I don't approve of you being married to a man, keeping a secret from Amber but I will go get her and keep this between us." Sheila responded smiling.

Natalie didn't think that would go over so easily with Sheila but surprisingly it did. Though now waiting for Amber to return, Natalie paced the porch multiple times. Without warning Amber stood in front of Natalie with blue eyes that made her melt, long blonde flourish hair that had waves to be tangled in her fingers, and skin that was tanned to perfection though Natalie had to turn away with turning bright red.

"Amber, quit looking at me like that." Natalie demanded.

"You have no idea what you do to me." Amber replied, biting her lip.

"I don't care what I do to you. I need a place to stay until my car is up and running again so I can go back home to the city. So, can I stay here?" Natalie responded, covering her breasts with her arms.

"Yes, of course, you can stay here until your car is ready. I have a guest room available upstairs in my bedroom." Amber replied looking at her deeply with a warmth to my cheeks.

Natalie turned around and went inside to make a pretend phone call this time, she wasn't even going to bother dialing a real number she had to get out from Amber and their emotions. It is too much, especially since she is still married to a damn asshole who has leverage over her. Each time she went to look at Amber, Amber would stare into her making her shake as she would pretend to talk some more that is when she heard Amber and Sheila get into it again and Amber made Sheila leave. Great being alone with Amber isn't what she had planned.

Once Natalie heard Amber going to put the horses away, I decided to hang up the phone and go upstairs to explore Amber's room though making her hair look messy as she got up from a nap seemed fun too. Making my way up to Amber's room without making too much noise, I found that she wore amazingly clothes that would make me want to wear them like big tee shirts, leggings and so much more. So, the country woman is her personality and by the pictures on her wall proved it. Amber is amazingly lucky to have such a big home that is filled with love and family all around. Upon looking through Amber's things when Natalie went to lay on the bed, she found a note under the pillow it read.

My lovely wife-to-be,

I know we were supposed to be down the aisle in a few months but I will not make it due to my health slowly killing me. I have breast cancer, baby, and I won't be able to live with you in our big home and live big dreams of having kids running around the yard. I am sorry this happened before we made it down the aisle but I had to tell you. I want you to find someone who makes you feel the same as I once did and if she brightens your country life up then you have nothing to worry about.

I love you.

Future Mrs. Sarah Starr

Natalie wiped her tears knowing that Amber did have someone to love but she died before they could walk down the aisle. It tore Natalie up but she knew better than to keep being married to a bullied asshole, she had to be with Amber somehow or another.
