Chapter 9

Isabel smiled with giggles whispering, "Faith, you are lusting after a cheerleader, wow, who knew? Do your friends even know?"

Faith shook her head no whispering, "I can't tell my friends they are all bible thumpers I just keep to myself and you are the only one who is lesbian an likes me for being me."

Isabel looked down whispering, "I didn't know at first because you seemed to preppy for my standards yet, in the end, you became a true sweetheart and a friend."

Faith grabbed Isabel's hands whispering, "Please if anything happens to you and Lillian that you do come find me for a shoulder to lean on."

Isabel smiled showing a fake one this time whispering, "I love Lillian to much to give up on loving her, though I know you and this cheerleader I'm sure will make a fine couple."

Faith looked down then walked to the other side of the room looking in the mirror seeing

Isabel fumbling with her fingers. Isabel got up from the bed an came up behind Faith whispering, "I am going to bed before either one of your parents come up here again, I will see you in a few hours."

Faith nodded watching Isabel go to her room as she shut her light off an cried herself to sleep.

Lillian woke up early getting ready for her class in an hour since the school called two hours ago reminding her of her first day. She got dressed in a blue dress that hugs her body an slips on heels as she walks out the door Lillian remembers to check her text for anything on Isabel looks like nothing hmm...might be busy at school then her phone goes off for sure it's a random call, she picked up saying,

"Hello, sorry this is going to have to be a quick call I'm on my way to the school for teaching."

A woman giggled on the other end replying,

"Hi Lillian this is Serenity, I am looking for a place to live and saw you had a post up about you living alone, so I was wondering if I could meet you for coffee, dinner or something fun to do a check out the place before deciding to move in."

Lillian couldn't believe what she was hearing as she sat down on the couch taking in everything then replying,

"I...uh...yeah sure, sure yeah we can do that Serenity, I will meet you at around five o'clock this evening if that is okay, oh yes just meet me here since you most likely have the address."

Serenity being a young twenty-eight year old with a structure of a model with long blonde hair down to her back and dark blue eyes felt excited as she responded,

"Great, thank you, Lillian, see you this evening."

Lillian hangs up quickly an rushes out the door to get to the school.

Isabel got up early that morning dressed in a black skirt an white shirt to go with her uniform then slipped a black tie on to make it unique as she saw Faith walk in say, "Don't you look beautiful, do you want me to help with makeup or anything?"

Isabel shook her head no a slipping on her black an white tennis shoes then looked up at Faith wearing just a white shirt and black skirt as Isabel replies, "I could add an addition to your clothes though like jewelry around you're neck or something?"

Faith shook her head responding, "No, I can't because of us going to a Christian Academy for the privileged students."

Isabel shook her head in disbelief replying, "Why, why must I go to that school, I don't need to go plus I believe in God my own way not to hear it from a school or church." Faith walked up to Isabel whispering, "Believe me, I don't like it either."

Isabel stood up grabbing Faith by the hand as they walked downstairs Sadie and Dale stared at the girls holding hands as Isabel looked down an moved her hand away saying, "Sorry, I was just comforting Faith for another fun day."

Dale hugged both girls whispering, "Be careful when going out together especially you Isabel."

Both nodded as Dale let go and Sadie looked at them both saying, "You young ladies better be on your best behavior today and let the Lord bless you with his love an help you through school."

Isabel looked at Faith then both bowed their heads in a quiet prayer then rushed out the door giggling Isabel turned Faith around saying, "I need to know something, what is with your parents and morning prayer? Please tell me we aren't praying all day in this school."

Faith looked at her then replied, "Unfortunately yes before every school bell."

Isabel let go of Faith as they walked to school which is about a block away from the house.

Lillian got off work an hour ago an still no word from Isabel as she started to wonder what is going on, so she texted Isabel saying,

"Isabel, babe when you get a chance text me I miss you!"

Lillian slipped her phone in the purse as she remembered that Serenity was coming out in about an hour to the apartment, so she drove home and rushed home to get dressed in something beautiful at least. Lillian looked all through her closet not sure what to wear.

Finding a light pink dress with a rose curving around her waist, she slipped on her pink heels to match as the doorbell rang realizing she didn't do up her hair yet she yelled through the apartment,

"Come on in Serenity feel free to take a look be out in a few minutes."

Lillian placed her hair in a quick bun then rushed out to see it was Isabel standing in the hall as she said, "Umm...Hi Isabel."

Isabel smiled with a reply, "Hello Lillian seems like your dressed up for a date, good timing, can we go out to dinner?"

Lillian looked down responding, "Sorry Isabel not this evening I am dressed up to meet a new roommate here in a few minutes; we can go out tomorrow."

Isabel slapped Lillian replying, "No, no, no I can't keep doing this every time since we got here you have closed up. I am going to go catch up with Faith you lying witch. Goodbye Lillian sees you next year."

Isabel stormed out as Serenity arrived seeing the mark on Lillian's face saying, "Oh my honey, what has happened to you?"

Lillian couldn't tell her what was going on. Instead, she held her face with tears streaming.

Serenity picked up Lillian from the floor carrying her to the couch whispering, "Do you need me to call the police? is anything missing?"

Lillian shook her head no then looked up at Serenity replying, "I am fine just dealing with something personal that I didn't realize hurting this person would be so bad."

Serenity looked at her questioningly replying, "If it makes you feel better you do look beautiful this evening and if you would like I can stay here tonight, pack my stuff in tomorrow this is a beautiful apartment and would be glad to share it with you. I mean if that is okay with you?"

Lillian shrugged responding, "I don't mind, let me go make some coffee and something to eat since it is getting later."

Serenity brushed Lillian's hair out of her face replying, "I would definitely like a cup of coffee as long as you are sure, you can handle cooking, especially after an exciting evening? we can order pizza or something instead I am sure."

Lillian let out a shy smile responding, "That would be great Serenity thank you so much, I am going to go shower real quick then join you in here, the extra room is down that hall on the left."

Lillian then walked off into her room as Serenity dialed a local pizza place than went out to her truck to bring in her stuff and rushed back in to settle into her room as the doorbell rang.

Serenity got the pizza an than as Lillian got out of the shower she headed into the living room saying, "Sorry for getting out of the dress and heels think I rather am comfortable in my shorts and a tank top if that is okay?"

Serenity smiled touching Lillian on the shoulder replying, "It is fine since we are roommates I rather you comfortable of course."

They ate pizza, had coffee and watch a movie the rest of the evening until they both went to bed.

Isabel got back home to see Faith already in her room as Isabel closed the door then shoved Faith on the bed an kissed her saying, "It must be your lucky day Lillian just cheated on me with another woman."

Faith pushed Isabel off to the side of her bed replying, "Slow down please Isabel, I'm sure you are just overreacting on this."

Isabel sat up on one arm looking at Faith responding, "I doubt it Lillian wouldn't bring in another chick to just "hang out" with let alone live with come on be serious Faith."

Faith rolled her eyes replying, "You are hard headed aren't you Isabel? I mean seriously how long have you been lesbian not to figure out some women can be friends without having to cheat or date another woman in their life. I mean hello wake up smell the coffee Isabel, I am into girls as much as you and I are not dating any, plus I have a boyfriend too so yeah my story is messed up, but you need to understand Lillian can have friends to live with her in those apartments."

Isabel laid flat on the bed sighing responding, "I guess I am just afraid of her falling in love with a woman closer to her age than me, and we are close in age too, oh man I shouldn't have slapped her she probably hates me now."

As Isabel still laying on the bed her phone goes off with a message saying:

"Isabel, this is Lillian, after you slapped me tonight it will take me a while to forgive you if you got with Faith and accused me of cheating then it is the other way, I just want a roommate to keep me company since you got house rules an so on with that family. So, in the meantime, I will leave you alone as I respect you to do the same to me until I feel you are woman enough to get it through your head I am not out to hurt you. Good night!"

Isabel dropped her phone looking at Faith saying, "Well looks like I am the idiot once again you are right, ugh I might as well just hang up the towel with her and see where we go since I am more than likely not seeing Lillian anymore."

Faith rolled her eyes again replying, "If you think hanging up the towel with Lillian is going to get me your wrong, I may have a crush on you, but I am not stupid enough to get with you all because you two are having a fallout."

Isabel sat up lightly touched Faith responding, "I am going to bed angel if you want to talk I am here for you."

Faith swat Isabel's hand away then pushed Isabel out the door saying, "You better just head to bed now."

Isabel blew Faith a kiss then skipped off to her room across the hall.
