Chapter 25

Day of the wedding came as Jana got up extra early to get her hair done, dress put on, pantyhose, heels, and the train with her small crown, she wanted to feel like a princess on her wedding day. She knew Angel would appreciate her bride being gorgeous in her long wedding gown. She had no idea what Angel chose either a wedding dress or a tuxedo though in Jana's mind that didn't matter, she's happy to have her dream wedding, and enjoy their surprised honeymoon afterward. Getting her hair done, Lucia came in with a smile holding her purse tightly.

"Jana, how did you know Angel is the one for you? I was straight before getting with Shauna." Lucia asked shyly.

"Wait, what? You are in the same boat as me in this whole scenario. Lucia, Angel taught me to love her long before I was even ready but she guided me slowly to make sure our love wouldn't end in tragic. Don't tell me you are leaving Shauna?" Jana replied feeling a panic in her chest.

"Yes, I am, was, I don't know. I love Shauna but being engaged to her right away seems so soon, and our wedding is next year. I am not ready for this lifestyle. I know I should have contacted you before your wedding day on this but Jana, I don't think Shauna understands that I have never fell in love with a woman before. I am scared and freaking out badly." Shauna responded as her voice breaks.

"You need to at least tell Shauna the truth, Lucia, including the fact that you weren't lesbian originally. She deserves that much." Jana replied calmly.

"Tell me what? Lucia, we need to get out there the wedding starts in two minutes. Jana, I hope you are ready to go forward with this." Shauna asked then positioned herself straight forward.

"What do you mean in two minutes? My hair and makeup isn't done. Angel will not appreciate that I spent all our money with talking. I need a real quick makeup and hair done, quickly. I need to also get my dress on. Damn it, Shauna call Angel and tell her the wedding is going to be held off for at least an hour. I need to be ready, this isn't ready." Jana freaked out as the hairdresser scrambled to get her hair done quickly.

Shauna and Lucia left for the church to see if Angel is at least dressed though Lucia kept quiet along the way not bothering with the discussion she had with Jana, they needed to focus on the brides that are about to be married off soon. Shauna kissed Lucia's hand.

"I can't wait until it is our turn to be down the aisle and them two be by our side. Next year needs to come quick because I can't let you go, I am so in love with you." Shauna said with a smirk.

Lucia faced the window without saying a word, she loves Shauna but she isn't ready to even take that huge step. She found love before she was even ready though their still in college it isn't enough for them to be down the aisle quite yet. Once they arrived at the church Lucia bolted inside and went to change into her bridesmaid dress that is a beautiful sparkly pink that is to her knee caps it made her stand out. She twirled around the room barefoot as Angel came in laughing.

"Aren't you a darling, princess? Glad you like it and it fits. This came from Shauna." Angel handed her a piece of paper.

Lucia opened the paper and it read:

Lucia,

You ran off before I could ask you to change together. Whatever is bothering you, I hope we can resolve together, and know that I love you. I wanted to know if we could dance together at the end of the night at a special place that I have reserved for us? See you soon with your new dress from Jana & Angel.

Love,

Shauna

Lucia tossed the paper out and shook her head. She has to leave especially now this is to much. She wrote a note explaining her departure for Shauna to be let know and left it at that. She isn't participating in the wedding, she took off the dress, back into her normal clothes, and grabbed a taxi back to Rose County, Michigan.

The wedding began without Lucia leaving Shauna heartbroken when she did finally find the letter. Angel met everyone and seated them before Jana appeared for the final touches. Angel postponed an hour like Jana asked because she didn't have time to be ready with the commotion around her. Angel wore a white tux with a bright pink tie and white tennis shoes, she didn't want to go to fancy. Unfortunately, bridesmaid for Jana would have to be her mom though the woman looked so fragile and could break a fall at any moment. Shauna stuck to being with Angel as a groomsman wearing the same suit colors only wearing fancy black shoes instead. Angel watched the crowd get bigger though they only reserved for twenty people plus their kids. Music began right on time as Angel stood there waiting on Jana to come out, Shauna looked panic when she didn't see Jana come out then at the last second Jana appeared with a smile on her face, gracefully walking toward Angel, Angel held in her tears the closer Jana got though she had a hard time not welling up until Jana took her hand and she took off the veil to reveal her beautiful gorgeous bride with pink makeup and her crown placed with curls. Jana grew out her hair for this special moment to be with Angel. Angel looked up and down at the dress as it were heaven, Jana saw the same in Angel's tuxedo, and it became so unreal that Jana dressed like a beautiful princess with a sparkling white dress down to her sparkle white heels, she stood out to the crowd but most importantly for her.

Preacher finally cleared his throat beginning the vows as Jana and Angel repeated including sharing their small vows to one another, and ended with a deep kiss that made the crowd holler in excitement. Their rose colored rings made a beauty together around them. Running out of the church to the limo with confetti was fun since they added that as celebration, and they were headed to their reception as they shared white wine on the way plus sharing kisses as wives. Jana kept wiping her tears of joy from her face though Angel kept wiping them away.

"Best day of our life and my beautiful bride keeps crying. I love you Jana! I can't wait to see where we go next." Angel said with a grin.

"I can't believe it took this long to finally marry someone but it is worth it after all these years and to finally be myself. I am glad my parents attended along with your mom." Jana replied wiping more tears away.

"I would say let's ditch the reception but everyone is expecting us to cut the cake and party until we leave but I do so badly want to strip that dress off of you and make it the best night of your life again like when we got engaged." Angel responded kissing Jana's hands.

"I need more time with mom and dad before you whisk me away to your surprise though are you going to tell me? I am your wife now." Jana replied nudging Angel with her elbow.

"You will see after the reception, trust me, it is going to be so worth it." Angel responded in all seriousness.

Arriving at the reception everyone couldn't wait to hug them both and congratulate though Shauna wasn't there in the crowd and they both knew then that Shauna went after Lucia. They were very upset at the way it had gone for them but it is their best night with or without them they needed to celebrate. Jana, decided that they were going to dance after cake and wine so everyone could leave early if need be especially the parents. They both cut their beautiful cake and smashed it onto one another with laughs. They didn't bother with a toast due to neither party was their to originally toast. The night went on for another two hours as everyone slowly trickled out. Jana walked around without her heels at that point because they didn't bother changing in the process of the night. As it ended Jana and Angel picked up the reception for the next couple to come in, and headed off for the night. It became the best evening of their life though they were really worried about Shauna and Lucia.

Angel carried Jana to the limo as they made their way to the airport for a late night flight.
