"It's you," Ozai eyes narrowed as he turned around to face Naruto. "The dreadful brat."
"You're going to pay for what you fucking did, you bastard," Naruto seethed in rage; his fist wouldn't stop trembling in anger as he hatefully stared at the man before him.
"And I believe you overstayed your welcome here, Uzumaki," Ozai retorted.
"What did you do to her?"
Ozai snorted in derision, "Who knows. She could be dead for all I care."
Naruto could barely retain his rage; he wanted to rip Ozai's head off and shred his body to pieces.
"You wouldn't fucking dare," Naruto growled.
"Maybe so, however, I have not a single clue where Ursa disappeared to," Ozai said. "Perhaps, she simply wanted to abandon her own family."
"She would never do that," Naruto angrily replied. "Because of you, Azula is suffering."
"She will learn to live with the absence of her mother; after all, a true warrior must not be tied down to such useless emotions."
Gold flames suddenly erupted from Naruto's hands as a flicker of red flashed across his eyes. The once flames of gold slowly transformed into a bubbling shade of dark crimson. The flames Naruto had conjured felt evil and wicked, as if they were summoned from the depths of hell.
"What the hell is this!" Ozai cried in shock. He had never seen anything like this before. The wicked flames shook him deeply to the core as he gazed at it in disbelief.
The dark crimson flames slowly wrapped Naruto's body in a layer of fire. His azure eyes now turned to a deep shade of red; his once round pupils now became sharp diamonds. Naruto's teeth suddenly grew into sharp fangs made for ripping flesh and crushing bones. The flames around him slowly shaped into a large tail and sharp, pointed ears that resembled much like a fox.
"She was like a mother I never had," Naruto crouched on all fours, his voice deep and guttural.
"You- you demon!"
Hidden out of sight, Azula looked on with fear as she watched her Naruto turn into some sort of monster. It was as if a demonic beast had possessed him.
"Naruto, what is happening to you?" Azula asked in worry.
Naruto cried out a demonic roar that echoed throughout the palace. The palace servants cried out in horror by the sudden scream of a horrific beast. Suddenly, a jet of fire exploded underneath Naruto's feet and propelled him forward towards Ozai. As he shot forth with incredible speed, the grass burnt black under the intense heat of his flames.
"Fast!" Ozai cried in shock.
He quickly crossed his arms to block the incoming attack. The monstrous punch sent Ozai crashing into the wall of the royal garden and cracked it. His crimson robe were now in tatters as Ozai fell to his knees; his hardened muscles now exposed.
"Just what is this boy?" Ozai grunted in pain.
His eyes widened as he witnessed Naruto conjured a fireball almost the size of Naruto himself. He quickly dodged, using a small jet stream of fire to aid him, as the giant fireball came hurling towards him. The fireball smashed through the wall, and a small explosion erupted, completely destroying one sector of the wall.
Ozai quickly stomped on the ground and launched forth a brilliant stream of fire. The spiraling orange flames smashed against Naruto as Ozai smirked in contempt. Much to Ozai's shock, his flames suddenly spun around Naruto like a tornado. The flames gradually shrunk into a single stream as Naruto consumed it like nothing.
"Impossible!" Ozai cried out.
He suddenly felt a growing fear of this demonic boy before him. His strange power, his strange visage; it was incredible and haunting to witness. The fire that was once Ozai's now transformed into a strange ball of plasma just above Naruto's mouth.
Ozai hastily formed a barrier of fire around him in an attempt to shield himself. The beam of plasma smashed into the fire barrier and exploded. The resulting blast knocked Ozai away several yards before he slid through the grass. Naruto slowly walked towards Ozai as the dark crimson flames shaped into sharpened claws.
Blood seeped from his lips as Ozai sat up, "You will accomplish nothing if you kill me now, boy."
Naruto remained silent as his transmuted claws reached for Ozai. As the claws closed in, Ozai squeezed his eyes shut as he waited for his impending death.
"Naruto, stop!"
Naruto's claws suddenly stopped as it came in contact with Ozai's neck.
"Az..u...la? The cloak around Naruto slowly receded before it vanished into thin air. Naruto felt a sudden fatigue wash over him, and he quickly passed out.
Azula rushed out into the royal garden and caught Naruto's collapsed body. She held him tightly as tears fell from her eyes. This wasn't her Naruto; he wouldn't do something like this. The power he had displayed scared Azula, and she felt powerless when Naruto suddenly transformed into that thing.
Dozens of palace guards entered the royal garden and surrounded Naruto while two guards knelt before Ozai and assisted him up on his two feet.
"Prince Ozai, are you alright?" One of them asked in worry.
Ozai ignored him and quickly conjured new fire, "Azula, get away from that monster; he is way too dangerous."
"No!" Azula screamed. "Get away from him!"
"Azula!" Ozai shouted back furiously.
Her golden eyes stared intensely back at him in defiance, "You'll have to kill me before you get to him."
A new tension sparked between them as they peered into each other's eyes. The guards slowly marched towards Azula and Naruto with methodical steps. Azula summoned forth blue fire as she glanced at the soldiers around her. She would rather betray her father and the Fire Nation than leave the one she loves to die.
"Men, back down," Ozai's commanding voice halted the soldier's movement, and they quickly retreated back.
"Azula, my dear daughter, you've truly angered your own father by my defying orders," Ozai walked forward. "But, I will give you a chance, my daughter. Come back to my side, Azula."
"I'd be a fool if I went back to you."
"Azula, are you really going to betray your own father, and your own motherland for a single boy?"
"I'm willing to take that chance."
Ozai clenched his fists in rage. His daughter that he had once raised and cultivated had betrayed him, "Guards, take them!" He shouted at his men.
The guards rushed forward as Azula tried defending them off. Streams of blue fire struck against the horde of guards with wild ferocity. However, there was only so much Azula could do before the overwhelming forces brought Azula to her knees.
Ozai stood over Azula, "You truly disappointed me, Azula."
"There was nothing to impress, anyways," She scoffed.
Ozai gave her one last glare before he turned around. He gave an order to the captain beside him, "Take these two out of my sight. I want them imprisoned far away from the capital city where they can rot like scum."
"Yes, Prince Ozai!"
"It's Lord, Captain Hangu."
"Y-yes, Lord Ozai!" Captain Hangu hastily corrected himself.

Later that day, Ozai stood in front of the mirror as his servants dressed him in white robes. His father's funeral was about to begin, and he needed to be ready.
"Lord Ozai, it's finished," A servant said.
Ozai nodded, "Mm, then it is time."
Ozai left the room, and Zuko nervously walked up to him
"Dad...where's Azula and Naruto?" He asked.
"Tell me, Zuko," Ozai narrowed his eyes. "Are you thinking about betraying me?"
"N-no, dad, I woudn't-"
"Then, do not speak of them in my presence," Ozai interrupted. "Your sister had committed the ultimate sin by betraying her own father and motherland."
"No way... she couldn't have," Zuko retorted.
"Enough. I do not want to hear more of this."
Outside of the palace, above the stone staircase that led to the large courtyard below, stood a fire sage with red robes.
"I will now announce the presence of Prince Ozai, and his son, Zuko!" He yelled.
The enormous doors of the palace slowly opened and Ozai and Zuko walked out into the open. The rows of red-robed men, holding tall crimson banners in the courtyard, quickly kowtowed towards the royal family.
The fire sage clasped his hands and gave a speech, "Azulon, Fire Lord to our nation for twenty-three years. You were our fearless leader in the Battle of Garsai; our matchless conquerer of the Hu Xin Provinces.
You were father of Iroh, father of Ozai, husband of Ilah, now passed; grandfather of Lu Ten, now passed; grandfather of Zuko and Azula."
The fire sage walked towards Azulon's golden coffin and raised a headpiece of a golden fire symbol above his head, "We lay you to rest."
The two sages in white robes quickly lit Azulon's coffin on fire as tradition. The fire sage turned around again as a large blaze burned brightly behind him. He walked towards Ozai, who was kneeling down, and stood directly behind him.
"As was your dying wish, you are now succeeded by your second son," The fire sage lowered the golden headpiece and put it on Ozai.
"Hail Fire Lord Ozai!"
