Azula and Naruto hid in a dark alleyway, hidden away from unsuspecting eyes. Naruto's eyes focused on each person that walked by, especially their waists for any pouches of coins.
"I can't believe we have to resort to robbery," Azula whispered in annoyance. She prided herself as a dignified lady rather than a lowly thief.
"What else can we do?" Naruto replied. "Street performances? I can't exactly juggle to save my life, princess."
Azula crossed her arms, "Well, I rather-"
"Wait, shh!" Naruto held a finger up to his lips. "I spot one of our targets."
Two girls with slim, athletic figures suddenly walked by them. On their waist were small pouches that were seemingly filled with coins. Naruto rubbed his hands together as he mischievously smirked.
"Hey, Suki, I heard that there's a legendary blacksmith that lives here!" Tenten said enthusiastically, her brown eyes sparkled with glee.
She styled her chestnut hair into two buns with two short fringe-bangs that framed her face. She wore a short, white cheongsam with red floral patterns over her black shorts and boots. On her back held a sanjiegun, a three-section staff that were linked together with short chains.
"Is that all you ever think about, Tenten?" Suki facepalmed herself.
Suki had the top of her brunette hair styled in a small top knot, leaving the rest to flow freely down her neck. She wore a sleeveless, green crop top shirt that exposed her midriff and knee length green pants.
"I was hoping that he could create a new sword for me," Tenten replied.
Tenten's unhealthy obsession for weapons drove her to start a collection of various types of weapons from all over the world. Her dream was to master all weapons under the heavens and become the greatest weapons master of all time.
"Just remember what we came here for."
"Of course I know that."
Naruto quietly walked behind them with careful steps, ensuring that he remained inconspicuous to those that were around him. As Naruto got closer to Suki and Tenten, he 'accidentally' bumped into them and fell to the ground.
"Whoops, sorry bout' that," Naruto rubbed his head in embarrassment. "Wasn't looking where I was going."
"No, it's all good!" Tenten raised her hand out to Naruto and helped him up.
"Thanks," Naruto sheepishly grinned. "I was just distracted by how beautiful you two girls are."
Suki couldn't help but laugh, "Are you trying to hit on us?"
"Well, what if I am?"
Naruto had to admit, the two girls before him looked incredibly pretty. Pervy sage had taught him the ways to critique a woman's body, and the two girls had high marks. Their athletic and toned figures struck right up in his alley.
Suki wiped the joyful tear away as her laughter died down, "You're going to have to do a lot better than that, lover boy."
Suki took a closer look at the blonde boy. He looked about the same age as her with unique features, especially those whiskers. However, there was something about him that she couldn't put her finger on, and Suki wanted to find out more.
"So, what are you guys up to?" Naruto asked.
Suki crossed her arms with a foxy smile, "Wouldn't you like to know."
Tenten sauntered her way closer to him with an interested look, "What's your name?"
"Kuro." Naruto lied.
"Well, Kuro," Tenten smiled. "I'm Tenten, and this is my bestie, Suki."
Suki nodded her head and walked closer to them, "Since you're so interested in what we're up to, why don't you help two poor girls out?"
Naruto nervously chuckled, "I would if I could, Suki, but I gotta go! Sorry!"
Naruto quickly ran, his figure disappeared into the large crowd. Suki and Tenten stood there with confused expressions plastered on their faces. That was pretty anticlimactic of him.
"That guy was pretty cute, right Suki?" Tenten asked. However, she was met with only silence.
"Suki?" Tenten asked again.
Suki stared fixedly on Naruto's back as he ran off. She was oddly interested in that strange boy. Tenten snapped her fingers, and Suki immediately broke out of her dazed state. Suki quickly turned to Tenten, "Apparently, he had more important things to attend to. Let's keep moving."
"Come on, Suki," Tenten complained. "We've been searching for Kyoshi's war fans all day. Let's take a break and grab something to eat."
"We can eat later."
"Not even for your favorite fried dumplings?" Tenten tried enticing her.
Suki's stomach suddenly rumbled as a light blush formed on her face, "Fine, we'll start searching again tomorrow..."
"Finally, I'm starving for some noodles!" Tenten reached over her waist to grab her pouch. However, her pouch had suddenly disappeared, "What the heck? My pouch is gone!"
Suki reached for her pouch, too, and it was mysteriously gone as well. Rage swelled up within as her eyes twitched uncontrollably, "It was that blonde guy! He stole our money!
"Let's go after him," Tenten ran towards the direction Naruto took, "He shouldn't have gone too far."
Suki followed after Tenten, her eyes flashed with malicious intent, "Once I get my hands on him, I'm going to feed him to the Unagi."
Naruto ran back into the dark alley where Azula hid herself. He showed off two small pouches to Azula with clear signs of smugness across his face.
"Well, that was awfully quick," Azula deadpanned.
"Heh, easy-peasy for the master of pranks," Naruto grinned. He opened the pouches and counted the coins in hand. "Six silver and ten copper coins. Not bad."
"I could use some new clothes anyways," Azula pulled on her brown rags. "I've worn these filthy rags long enough."
"You look great in anything, princess."
"Oh, don't give me that, Foxy." Azula rolled her eyes.
As they approached the alleyway exit, Suki and Tenten suddenly appeared in front of them while their shadows loomed over the alleyway. Angry glares marred their faces as they stared at the boy who pickpocketed them.
"You thought you could get away from us, Kuro?" Suki narrowed her eyes. "I'm quite sure that's not even your real name, too."
Tenten pulled the sanjiegun from her back and twirled it in her hands. The sanjiegun dangled in the air as she pointed at the blonde thief, "Hand it over, blondie."
Naruto slowly backed away, "Whatever do you mean?"
Naruto glanced at his surroundings before his eyes trailed towards the rooftops. Bingo. Naruto winked at Azula. She followed his eyes which focused on the roofs above. She quickly understood. He turned his attention towards Suki and Tenten.
"It's so obvious that you did it," Suki pulled out a pair of gold, metallic fans that were hidden behind her back.
"And what evidence do you have against him?" Azula stepped forward.
Suki frowned, "And who are you?"
"Who I am doesn't concern you," Azula replied. " Now, back off or things will get ugly."
Tenten smirked with confidence, "I'll see to that, myself."
Naruto quickly whispered to Azula, "Try not to firebend too much; we're still on the run, ya know."
"No need to tell me twice," Azula lowered herself in a combat stance.
Tension boiled as the four of them glared each other down. Hair swayed against the gentle breeze as they anticipated who would strike first. In a matter of seconds, Tenten charged first, swinging her sanjiegun with incredible precision at Azula.
Azula remained poised as she blocked and dodged all of her attacks with ease. Fists flew as Azula closed in on Tenten which forced her to retreat. Their footwork were perfect, and they're attacks sharp and powerful; it was impossible to tell who had the advantage over the other.
"Is that all you have?" Azula taunted as she leaned back, dodging the chained staff which aimed for her head.
"We're just getting started."
Meanwhile, Suki and Naruto were locked in combat. Naruto stood at the defensive end, dodging the fans that aimed to slice him up. Suki was ferocious with her attacks, not letting Naruto have the chance to counterattack.
"How about we talk this out, Suki?" Naruto asked.
Suki scoffed, "How about you hand over the money you stole?"
Naruto used his powerful legs to leap over her roundhouse kick and jumped between the walls of the narrow alleyway. He flipped through the air and landed an axe kick near Suki's shoulders.
"Suki!" Tenten cried out in worry.
"You should be worried about me," Azula sneered. She threw a lightning-fast kick and connected squarely on Tenten's chest.
Suki knelt on the ground as she clutch her shoulders in pain. However, determination flashed across her eyes as she stood back up.
"You alright there?" Naruto asked.
Suki raised an eyebrow in confusion, "And why should you care about me?"
Naruto shrugged his shoulders, "I'm not actually a bad guy, ya know."
"Like I'd believe that," Suki snorted.
She charged at him once again with a different arsenal of technique. Naruto was thrown off a bit by her change of pace, but he quickly adapted. The citizens were unaware of the intense fight that occurred in the shadows of the alleyway.
Naruto felt this was going for far too long and shouted at Azula, "Let's get outta here!"
Naruto punched the ground, and a wave of golden fire burst forth. The two Kyoshi Warriors cried out in shock as their visions were suddenly blocked. As flames of gold vanished, Azula and Naruto were gone.
"Dang it, they got away!" Tenten stomped her foot down.
Suki gazed at the spot where Naruto last stood with conflicting emotions. She clenched her fists and walked away.
"We'll find him again."
