Rose

I couldn't process what was happening. I needed help, but I couldn't find someone I can trust.

Lilith ended up sleeping at the chair while the moon shined brightly on her. Morning came, Lucas knocked on Lilith's room four times, yet no answer. He felt something wrong and forced his way inside.

"Mother I brought you roses.."

He saw Lilith looking outside. well, was she?

"Mother?.."

No response. He rushed over to Lilith looking very pale.

"Mom! wake up! Mother!"

He shook Lilith yet she didn't even move. Lucas rang the bell for the servants. The maid rushed and gasped at the situation.

"What're you doing?! call father immediately!"

He looked back at Lilith having blue lips slowly. He tried to hear Lilith's heart beat. Yet he didn't even hear a thing. Her body was also cold. He was sweating a lot. Moments after Zeon rushed at the room out of air.

"Y-your grace! It's an emergency...!"

The maid was gasping for air after running from the Duchess's mansion, to the main office.

"What happened? Aren't you the maid of honor? what are you doing here?"

The Duke asked annoyingly

"How dare you barge into the off—"

the knight's word was cut

"The duchess...."

The duke suddenly felt his heartbeat race

"Why? what's wrong with the duchess?"

He asked with a cold voice

"She.....She wasn't breathing...."

Zeon felt his world crumble. The maid fainted. The knight was in shock, and so is Zeon. He immediately went out and ran as fast as he can.

"Lucas! Lucas!"

The duke yelled while running towards Lilith's room.

"What happened?"

The duke was drained. He Looked at Lucas turning pale.

"F-father...Mother, is she d-dead?.."

It's the first time Lucas stuttered. Zeon Immediately looked at Lilith and didn't show any sign of breathing.

"CALL THE PHYSICIANS EVERY ONE OF THEM RIGHT NOW!"

he yelled while holding onto Lilith's body

"Lith! be careful! you're gonna trip yourself!"

The woman shouted at Mini Lilith

"Mom! Look! I'm as fast as a wolf!"

The woman laughed at the child

"Mom! I brought you roses! they're pink! don't they look pretty?"

"Yes they are. thank you My beautiful daughter. You're the best. I love you"

"I love you too mom!"

That word kept repeating in my mind.

I want to go back. But everything comes with a price. what happened to my family? are they okay? are they living well? I hope they don't miss me too much. I'm sorry mom, I couldn't be with you right now. I'll be back soon. wait for me mom. please. wait for me.

Lilith suddenly was aware of her surroundings. It was so white she couldn't see anything but white.

"tsk, tsk" A woman's beautiful voice echoed.

"You're begging to comeback to your world right now? didn't you say you would finish what I told you to do?"

I looked over to the woman. I can't see clearly. But she seems familiar.

"Losing a mother is very hard, don't you think so, Lilith?"

The woman grinned.

"You don't want that to happen to you, but you're doing it with your son. they're waiting for you to wake up Lilith."

"But I don't have a son. I never gave birth to anybody!"

Lilith yelled.

"What has gotten into you Lilith? have you finally gone crazy?"

The woman flicked Lilith's forehead and she started remembring Lucas and all of the memories in her present world.

"Lucas..."

Lilith mumbled

"Look Lilith your family is waiting for you. And so is your previous family."

The woman pointed at a portrait showing Lilith's love ones crying over her.

"They think you died and had lost hope Lilith. I'll need you to pick your choice right now. choose your previous world or the present."

Lilith hesitated

The woman gave her a beautiful healthy rose

"hold it. I'll give you a gift. This rose will be your time. I won't give you the quest to find the others. I'll just let you have your fun, With your family of course. Which ever family you pick, you will have consequences."

Lilith nodded.

"Mom... don't leave us please. I had gotten used to spending time with you mom."

Lucas cried as he held Lilith's hand. Lilith looked over and moved her hand to pat Lucas' head.

"I'm still here Lucas. Don't cry."

Lucas was in disbelief but he then hugged Lilith as tight as he could.

"Mom! y-you weren't breathing! I thought...I thought you left me. us."

Lilith looked at her right, she was holding a rose, the one she saw in her dream. Next to the rose was Zeon, looking tired and his eye bags were very visible. She carefully sat up.

"Lucas, can you put this rose on a safe place? please take care of it. I'm scared if this rose is in my hands, I don't know what might even happen."

Lucas was sure he didn't see any rose with her when she was unconscious. When she woke up she suddenly told Lucas to keep it safe. It was suspicious for Lucas, But he couldn't do anything about it and just followed her order.

"Please, Lucas tell me if the flower is withering. That way I can be fully prepared."

Lucas looked confused.

"What are you talking about, mother? preparing for what?"

Lilith smiled.

"No, it's nothing Lucas. Just take care of it. For me."

Lucas nodded and Lilith kissed his forehead. moments later, zeon woke up.

"Lilith?....Lilith!"

He held Lilith's hand and kissed it gently while a tear fell from his eyes.

"I'm not dead yet, Zeon."

Zeon looked at Lilith seriously.

"You won't die. ever."

zeon firmly told Lilith.

"I just woke up guys, what's with your reaction?"

"Just woke up?! you were Unconscious and not breathing for 7months!"

Lilith was shocked.

"6 m-months?...."

(oh no, Don't tell me I only have a 2 months left...I wasted it all...no wonder she told me to just enjoy my life. I was gonna die!)

"I-I.. why didn't you give up on me for that long?! I was asleep and wasn't even breathing!"

Lilith trembled.

"The empress told us something."

Lucas answered

"She told us something we couldn't even do. Or have the skills to do."

Lilith looked scared.

what if she told them?
