The strong smell of bleach was overwhelming. I scrunched my eyes at the bright light that was slipping through my eyelids. I felt powerless, and I couldn't even move my body.
I slowly started blinking, desperately trying to open my eyes to see what's around me. Where am I? As I was blinking I started to notice my surroundings. I was in the hospital.
I looked at the grey walls that surrounded me. I was laying on a normal hospital bed and in my right arm an IV drip and monitors beeping around me.
Next to my bed was a green musty couch, and a woman laid there sound asleep. Her facial expression was pained and her eyes were puffy, probably from crying.
I could not remember who I was, or why I was here but for some reason, the look on here face wanted to make me cry.
I try again to move, but my body felt so heavy almost as if I was made of stone.
What's going on? I begin to panic. I try to get up, but my body wouldn't move.
The woman that was asleep on the couch realizes I'm awake and asks me to calm down.
"What's going on? Why am I in a hospital? How did I get here?" I ask, but she keeps telling me to calm down and starts to get help from the nurses.
I try to stop panicking. "Think, think, think," I say to myself. "How did I get here?"
I try hard to think back to what has happened in my life, but it was blank as a white page.
"Honey, it's okay. You are alright." The lady says and I look up at her blankly before asking
"Who are you?" Her happy express was quickly replaced with a pained expression once again
"She doesn't remember." The lady sobbed while some of the nurses escorted her out of the room
"Do you not even remember your own name?" One of the nurses asked me once everything calmed down, and I shook my head in response
"Your name is L/N F/N," One of the nurses said and my eyes widened
"My name?" I said with a smile
"Yes, your name."
"I have a name?" I asked happily and the nurse smiled at me and nodded
"L/n, we need to takes some tests on you to make sure everything is alright." The nurse said and I nodded
"L/n F/n." I mumbled with a smile before saying
"I have such a beautiful name."

"OK, that's the last of them." The nurse said while she wrote down a bunch of stuff on her clipboard.
"Do you by chance know why I am in the hospital?" I ask the question that has been bugging me for a while.
She smiled at me "Once you get better, I will tell you." she promised and I nodded
"Then, I'm sure I will get better soon," I say and she glances back at a lady who was standing at the door.
"She was the lady from before," I say while I remember the pained expression on her face before she left the hospital room
"Who is she?" I whispered asked the nurse who was still standing next to my bed
"You should ask her yourself." The nurse whispered back to me before leaving the room
"F/n." I heard the lady by the door calling my name
"Who are you?" I ask once again and the lady was quiet for a second before walking towards me
"F/n, I am your Mom." She said and my eyes widened at her words
"You're my Mom?" I say and she nods
"I'm sorry F/n I shouldn't have-" She tries to say but I cut her off
"No I should apologize, I couldn't remember you."
"I'm just happy you are back, even if you don't remember me." She said with a small smile
"How long have I been here?" I finally ask and she thinks for a moment before answering me
"About a month."
"A month!" I said and she nodded, but a knock at the door stopped me from asking anything
"Students in our class made cards for F/n." A girl said not realizing I was awake
"Oh, Akina perfect timing!." My mom said while she walked over to the girl
"F/n!" The girl said excitedly when she finally noticed I was awake
"Akina, do you think you could stay here for a bit I have to home and some clothes." My mom asked the girl and she nodded her head excitedly.
"I'd love to, we can read these letters while you are gone." She said happily while she walked over to my bedside
"F/n, do you remember me?" She asked while she pointed to herself and I stared at her for a second before shaking my head
"I'm Akina, you Best Friend silly!" She said with a smile while she pulled up a chair next to my bed
"I will be back in a bit." My mom announce before she left the room
"So you really don't remember me?" Akina asked and I nodded
"I can't remember anything, its all blank."
"Do you remember how to play volleyball at least?" She asks and I laughed a bit before saying
"Right now I can't even move."
"We get starting positions our first year, and you have to go and get hurt." She pouted
"Starting positions?" I asked and she nodded
"We have been working hard since we were younger to go to Karasuno and play volleyball there." She said and I looked away from her
"I guess I ruined that didn't I?"
"It wasn't your fault." She said trying not to make me feel bad
"Here let's read these." She said holding up a bunch of envelopes with a smile
"Why are there so many?"
"They are all from our classmates!" She said while she started to open one of the envelopes, and I noticed a name on one of them
"Who is that?" I asked nodding to a blue envelope, and Akina pointed at it
"This one?" She asked and I nodded
"Let's see-" She said picking up the envelope "It's from Kageyama."
"Who is Kageyama?" I ask and Akina laughs a bit before saying
"It's his way or the highway kind of guy, you didn't like him."
"Really?"
"Yea there was this one time when he-" She started, but suddenly I couldn't hear what she was saying and everything went black.
