I eventually over came my embarrassment, as I witnessed my mother form a blunted sword of ice. She carried it in one hand, pointing that tip of the blade at my father, who replied to the simple provocation by building up a large amount of lighting in one hand. Launching the crackling stream, my mother charged forward while erecting a column of ice intercepting the lightning, this continue while they ran around each other. Mother countered by either launching a spike of ice from the sky, or from the ground by manipulating her ice domain.
She continued to expand her area of influence as she frantically closed the distance, parrying bolts of lighting with graceful arcing swings of her sword. They were soon locked in close combat, my mother mixing in graceful sword strike, kicks and other forms of blows all the while manipulating her ice domain to further corner my father. Father sent a right swing to my mother's stomach, as she was in no place to block with her previous swing throwing her off balance, she decided to negate the blow by covering her stomach in ice at the last second. While this did reduce some of the damage, she flew over ten meters away and was clearly winded. Seeing his chance father charged forward to continue his assault. Sending a massive bolt of lighting into the ice in front of my mother, a smoke screen like mist appeared due to the blown up ice, obscuring her vision long enough for him to throw a bolt of lighting while running around her side.
All the while, a vicious smile was slowly creeping it's way onto my face. 'I want to be there. I want to get to that level. I want to fight! It looks SO FUN! SHOW ME MORE!' as the fight continued in intensity so did my desire, I wanted to be up there. I wanted to tear apart any opponent in my path. I wanted to experience this thrilling game where I could lose my life at any moment. It. Looked. So. Fun.
Mother was eventually backed into a corner as her own ice was serving as a deterrent to her sight. After fathers successful attack he had continued to send up particles of blown up ice and attack. This repeated maneuver forced her to abandon her domain and lock him in close quarters on the grassy plain of our garden. She had lost the speed she gained from skating around, and was at an almost severe disadvantage due to the sheer speed lighting users had. If I remembered correctly most people take on some traits of their element if they had a strong enough connection to it, and for lighting that was speed coupled with a buff to their explosive force. She had to rely on her reaction times to dodge and parry blows, as she was continually assaulted from the front. As my father took a step forward to continue, his back foot became encased in ice throwing off his movements, making him stumble forward.
With this opportunity, she used her blunted blade to strike the back of his head, firmly planting his face into the ground. With his body on the floor she encased the major areas, like torse, arms and legs in shackle-like ice and placed the tip of the blade inches away from his head.
"You .. Haah... lose" my mother barely got out between her deep breaths. My blood boiled continuously in excitement. 'I don't care what I have to do, I'll get to that point'. I couldn't calm my trembling body, as my excited grin fixated on the scene of my defeated father.
"I surrender" he replied in disappointment.
"Now now, don't get all melancholic... That was close" mother has finally regained her composure, but I would never forget her arrogant side. She was a completely different in battle mode, cold, calculative and haughty. My father like a wild beast charging forward with animal like instincts and speed, trying to win through brute strength. The only weapon he relied on was himself and you could see it in that fight. He was an in fighter and a brawler. The complete opposite to his partner. 'I'll be both, just you wait, I'll make my mark on the world with that graceful sword dance, with the disposition of a bar fighter. I'll turn this world in its head as the culmination of you both!' i vowed.
As my parents made their way over to me, I hide my vicious excitement behind a smile of wonder and ran to hug the legs of both my parents as thanks for showing me something so wondrous.

'What the hell was that fight! That was insane, my parents are insane! ..... Will I ever reach that level?' I pondered, searing that fight into the deepest parts of my memories so I'll never forget it. 'That aside, what was up with Eli's smile'. Remembering that almost savage smile sent slight shivers down my spine.
