Our Gang!

Alexander was standing in front of the meeting room at IL Group.

'Should I go in?'

Alexander was not sure about this. He had marched in here without any prior notice.

'What will Eve think?'

Alexander didn't want to be here. He just wanted to know what Amelia had said to Evelyn.

Even though Alexander was not in a mood to accept it, he was still a tiny bit reluctant to leave Evelyn with Kyle.

It was illogical, but Alexander had developed a possessive bone in his body.

Before Alexander could make up his mind, a small voice reached his ears.

"What are you doing, Clara." Oliver's hoarse tone was irritating Alexander.

"What am I doing?" Clara said playfully.

"Don't touch me like that?"

"Shy?"

Alexander's mind was buzzing. What was Oliver doing with his innocent friend?

"Well...."

Before Oliver can say anything, Alexander pushed the door in a rage.

Just as everyone in the room looked at the intruder, an outraged sound crushed the atmosphere.

"Stay away from Clara." Alexander roared.

Oliver and Clara both were started. For a second, they were confused about what was going on.

Alexander was jolted to view the three people. Clara was half bent on Oliver's body, while Oliver's hands were holding Clara's waist.

Seeing Alexander, Clara's face blushed red. It was the first time for Clara to misbehave with someone other than Alexander. She felt like being caught red-handed.

Clara felt like she was attempting to rob something for the first time, but the police were the ones to know about it prior.

"Alexander." Evelyn's sound brought back all the remaining three back, who were gazing at each other.

Both Oliver and Clara looked at each other. Clara's eyes widened as she pushed Oliver and made herself steady.

Clara stumbled as she tried to balance herself. Oliver understood Clara's feelings.

Oliver held Clara's arm to balance her. Once Clara was stable, her entire face was pink.

Clara sat down in a hurry. Oliver saw Alexander and understood who Clara was texting. His little deer was informing her friend about the possible threats.

Oliver was happy that Clara was a loving and caring person. She would gel up well with his group as they were his family now. But there was still an annoyance lingering in his heart about Alexander.

It was evident that Clara was trying to match Alexander and Evelyn. Oliver shook his head in irritation and sighed.

Evelyn looked at all of them. Everyone one to the three had a unique expression on their face.

Clara was shy like a child. Alexander was fuming like a dragon while Oliver was smirking like a clever wolf.

From Evelyn's point of view, it was a fun thing to watch. She wanted to be like this. So firm bond and easy to express. Her eyes lowered and focused on eating.

Alexander glanced at Evelyn, who was sitting back eating a carrot.

Alexander took a breath to calm down. Being in Evelyn's presence made him want to be a good person.

Clara and Oliver took their original position. No one could feel there was something wrong with the scene, but in reality, there was an awkward moment.

Alexander strolled towards the sofa and sat down in between Clara and Evelyn. His eyes were glaring at Oliver with a sharpened knife.

"You should have a distance from one another," Alexander said to Oliver with a smile.

"I could say the same," Oliver smirked. He pointed at both Alexander and Evelyn.

Though Alexander was sitting in between Clara and Evelyn, he was more inclined towards the lather without a purpose. When Oliver pointed it out, Alexander simply smiled with this sudden realization, but he did not move.

"Yes, you could," Alexander picked up a carrot piece from the table to toss it in his mouth.

"I am still waiting for an explanation though," Alexander glanced at Clara with the question.

"Well.." Clara slid off.

'How was she supposed to explain herself?'

**Before some time**

"I will allow you to stay here," Evelyn said, "only because Clara said."

Oliver smirked but remained silent, "But I am still hungry, and you ditched me." Evelyn pointed at Clara.

"Hm-mm" Clara was guilty. Once Oliver called her, she forgot that she was supposed to have lunch with Evelyn.

Clara looked at Oliver for help. Was Oliver a bad influence on her?

"You order, we can still eat something," Oliver shrugged with a smile.

"I was going to order anyway," Evelyn said as a matter of fact. "You guys wait in the meeting room."

Evelyn picked up her phone to call some takeaways. She walked towards her window while Clara and Oliver left the room.

"I blame you," Clara whispered as they entered the meeting room.

"Uh," Oliver nodded, "Okay, but for what?"

"For making me forget about my commitments," Clara lowered her eyes while sitting on the side sofa, "What will Evelyn think of me now?"

"She won't mind," Oliver rubbed a hand over Clara's head.

Clara stared at Oliver with accusing eyes.

"Evelyn knows I was the one responsible for this," Oliver sat opposite Clara.

"Food will be here in a minute." Evelyn walked in.

"A minute?" Oliver raised an eyebrow.

"Mom called just now." Evelyn sat down near Clara, "She knew Clara would visit today, so she sent some food."

"I-I am S-Sorry" Clara felt more guilty about this.

"Uh?" Evelyn tilted her head as she looked at Clara.

Evelyn never blamed Clara. The person she blamed was Oliver, not her.

"For the food, I wasted," Clara looked down as she played with her fingers.

"Who said it will be wasted," Evelyn asked, "And don't blame yourself. I totally blame the man in front of us."

"I told you," Oliver smiled at Clara. He was used to Evelyn's taunts anyway and was totally immune to them after so many years.

The lunch was soon delivered and set on the table.

"It is so much," Clara said.

"I have many bellies to feed," Evelyn laughed, "Everyone will join soon."

"Everyone?" Clara's head shoots towards Evelyn.

"Our gang," Evelyn winked at Clara, "It will be your first time to meet them as well."

Clara was nervous. In her embarrassment, she turned her attention towards the table.

The table was full of healthy food. There was soup and rice. Noodles and salads. Some sweets here and there. The food was hot, and the smell was mouthwatering.

Evelyn was hungry as her stomach started growling. She picked up some salad to start.

Clara was focused on a cookie that was lying on the table like an alone bear. She knew that there were many more cookies, but in her nervousness, Clara could only see one.

'Sweet.'

Clara stretched her hand to pick up the cookie. There was a delightful feeling in her heart. But before Clara could reach for it, Oliver snatched away it.

"It was mine," Clara's eyes turned sharp.

Oliver looked at the cookie with a tender gaze.

Oliver looked at Clara with a smirk. He wanted to tease Clara more, so Oliver dramatically took a bite of the cookie.

Clara was angry when she looked at her baby being eaten by Oliver.

If Clara was not mistaken, those cookies were most possibly made by Evelyn, which she was obsessed with. Oliver's gesture made Clara launch towards him in a rage.

Clara's hand touched Oliver's adam's apple as she held his shirt in one hand as the other one tried to steal the cookie which Oliver raised above his head.

Feeling the softness of Clara's hand on his body, Oliver flicked.

Initially, Clara did not understand Oliver's reaction, but she could feel him getting stiff all of a sudden.

Oliver was looking down at Clara. His eyelashes fluttered as his neck and ears turned red. Oliver's heartbeat was running fast under Clara's palm as his breathing increased.

Seeing such a reaction from Oliver, Clara's confidence boosted. She slid her fingers down his chest.

"What are you doing, Clara?" Oliver's voice was hoarse. His breathing was on a rise.

"What am I doing?" Clara said innocently. Her eyes were glowing. Clara's focus shifted from the cookie towards the man under her.

"Don't touch me like that" Oliver held Clara's wandering fingers.

It was already hard for Oliver to control himself, but when Clara was behaving in such a way, it was even harder than ever.

Clara looked at Oliver. His face was red as he stared at her with hungry eyes.

"Shy?" Clara chuckled. She knew it was dangerous, but for the first time. Clara wanted to go a little further.

Oliver gazed at Clara's eyes for a second. Both of them had long forgotten that they were not alone in the room.

There was a soul who was enjoying the show with much interest.

The cookie from Oliver's hand was long lost somewhere on the ground. His now free hand had encircled Clara's waist firmly.

'My poor floor.'

Evelyn said it in her mind with a sad expression on her face, but soon her face bloomed with excitement as she looked at the two lovebirds.

"Well.." Before Oliver could answer, the door was opened forcefully, and a thunderous voice echoed.
