Out of League

The surrounding was peaceful as the light wind played with the hairs from time to time.

"What is wrong with your expression?" Evelyn asked. Her hands swilled the juice.

Amelia's face was clouded with denial. Her expression was that of a child who believed that everything told to them was a lie.

"Is it that hard to believe it?" Evelyn's lips turned up as she took her eyes away from Amelia's.

Seeing no reaction from Evelyn, Amelia managed to form her thoughts into words.

"H.. Ho... How can h ... he like yo .. you?" Amelia's voice trembled, her nails digging into her skin.

"True. How can he like me? I am way too out of his league." Evelyn looked at Amelia in amusement. "Isn't it?" Her head tilted innocently.

Amelia's eyes widened. 'Out of his league?'

'You?' Amelia eyed Evelyn from head to toe.

"You are not suitable for him." Amelia found her courage with Evelyn's provocative words. Her eyes burning with hate.
