War Is Hell, Not A Place Of Glory. (Warning Graphic and Might be Upsetting to some)

(Laren's airspace)

The FTL wears off and the fleets arrive, after a brief moment of nothing, bullets, lasers and rockets are exchanged between the fleets, with several ships being destroyed in minutes and escape pods flying around everywhere, the main fleets begin holding the line while the Normandy starts flying up to main attack force.

(The Normandy, Hangar deck)

The team strap on their helmets and Michael laughs "Well, this is it, this is the endgame... we now have a chance to end this... and so we are clear the teams are as follows, Max, Carolina, you're with Jack and you be headed to secure the command centre and shut down the barrier switch if it's there, if not join us at the engineering deck, Eliza, Marion, your with me, we're going after the engineering deck to shut off the barrier, are we all ready" the team shout "Yeah" they all then make a team hand touch and head into the portals.

(Laren fleet flagship, Hangar)

The portals land them in the hangar and the team step out and begin exchanging gunfire with dozens of Layrian troops, Jack shoots a Ascion barrel and it kills several Layrians while Michael throws a plasma grenade which kills the rest, the team then spilt up and head to their respective decks with the other races soilders following closely behind for back up.

(Near the Engineering Deck)

Michael, Eliza and Marion begin running to the engineering deck but are stuck via a wall of Layrian troops, they shoot at them killing a few of them before Eliza shoots their commander in the head which immediately makes the others flee, Michael then opens the door to the engineering deck.

(The Engineering deck)

Michael spots the switch and attempts to run for it but Layrian troops stop him by throwing mines on the catwalk, Michael then jumps down followed by Eliza and Marion as they begin fighting their way through them, Michael manages to get onto the switch level and runs to it but is blindsided by Elara who was cloaked behind a container "Miss me" Michael laughs before throwing her off of him, Eliza and Marion fight of the troops while Michael takes on Elara, she pulls a spike tipped whip out, Michael draws his dads plasma knife.

(Near the Command Centre)

Jack begins tearing through Layrian troops with pure anger, sending many of the troops fleeing while he kills their commanders, Max and Carolina throw a grenade which blows up the rest, Jack presses on to command centre with Max and Carolina close behind.

(The Command Centre)

Jack kicks open the door and kills the guards before turning off their anti air cannons before seeing the switch, he jumps down and rushes to it but then rolls backward as Irina try's to jump him "Ah, no, your not winning that easily Jack" Jack stands up and draws his plasma knife "We'll see about that Irina" she laughs before they both run at each other.

(Engineering deck)

Michael avoids her whip and slashes her across the face before being hit in the face with her whip which dents his visor, he kicks her leg out and kicks her in the head before stumbling back slightly dazed, Elara takes advantage and jumps back to her feet and knocks him onto his back, she then punches him several times stunning him, she then try's to wrench the knife out his hands, Eliza tells Marion to cover her "I'm going to help Michael" she nods, Eliza rushes up and tackles Elara off him before punching her a few times and kicking her in the chest, but then Elara grabs her and slams her head into the wall before grabbing her whip and wrapping it around Eliza's neck, Michael gets up slowly only to hear a sicking crack as Eliza falls to the ground lifeless. Marion turns in shock as do the Layrians before Michael tackles her into the wall and stabs her in the neck before pushing her to the floor and stamping on her head several times before shooting her with his dads pistol five times, he then turns the switch off and rushes to Eliza who doesn't respond, the Layrians flee in fear due to the loss of their Empress. Marion joins him with the two crying profusely before heading to the hangar to wait for Jack (Marion is carrying her body).

(Command Deck)

Jack avoids her blade and tackles her pining her knife arm down by standing on it with his foot, then he stabs Irina several times but she kicks him off and throws his knife back at him, Jack doges and they both run at each other unarmed, Jack sweeps her leg and slams her into the ground before Aural interferes and side kicks his visor, cracking it, Max then shoots Aural in the head and takes on Irina who grabs him and smashes his head against the electrical panelling before removing his helmet and grabbing her knife and dragging it across his neck, slitting it and making a huge spurt of blood to start pouring out. Jack roars before spearing Irina into the same panel before stabbing her in the arms with his and her own knife before pulling his pistol out "Go to hell!... Irina!" he fires four shoots into her head and she falls down dead, he turns the switch off before, checking on Max, "Max, Max you ok" he only gurgles, Carolina looks at him and shakes her head at Jack, Jack nods and shoots him in the head, Max smiles before dying, the two then run back to the hangar (Carolina carries Max's body) while Jack calls the Admiral, "Admiral, shield is down, Checkmate is go, I repeat Checkmate is go" "Checkmate confirmed now get the hell off that ship" Jack nods and heads to the hangar.

(The Hanger)

They all meet up and have a moment of silence for Max and Eliza before they are swarmed by angry Layrian soilders, the team try to hold them of off until the shuttle arrives. Jack shoots several in the head, Michael hits a few battles and blows up more while Carolina and Marion throw grenades that kill dozens. Michael then sees a sniper rifle aimed at Jack "Jack move" he pushes his brother out of the way but gets nailed in the chest by the rifle which leaves a massive circle dent in his armour, Jack gets his brother behind cover "Where's our exfill" the shuttle appears and the team board but then Michael sees a laser beam heading for them, he pushes the team in and manages to close the door, before the beam hits anyone, the door shuts and the shuttle leaves.

(Normandy, Medbay)

Jack puts his brother on the table while Carolina treats his burns "Michael, come on your gonna be ok" Michael laughs "Yeah, damn right" the two high five and Jack then supports his brother to the War room.

(The War Room)

Everyone turns to see Jack supporting Michael in, followed by Carolina, Marion immediately rushes to Michael and hugs him "You had me worried sick" Michael kisses her "Sorry, but I'm ok and we are never doing that again" Jack and the others laugh "Yeah, let's hope not" everyone cheers in victory followed by a moment of silence for the troops who lost their life's.

(1 week later, Vernia, Faren, cemetery for the dead)

Jack puts Max's helmet at the base of his tombstone, while Michael puts Eliza's helmet down on hers along with their guns, they all have a moment of silence with Carolina and Marion rubbing their pregnant belly's with solemn happiness, Jack and Michael mutter "Half as long... twice as bright" the two then leave with Carolina and Marion.

After that Carolina and Marion give birth, Marion has a boy who they call Max Vorzern named after Max, while Carolina and Jack have a daughter called Eliza Vorzern names after Eliza, the two brother keep in contact and their family's grow together with Jack and Michael eventually leaving the military and finding normal work, while their son and daughter join up to the military and are put as the two new leaders for the New Fire Team Realm.

(The End, and a new story is coming out which will be a prequel about a different race with a new team of friends and another ailen race to fight against them but this time may be different, but who's to know).

(Edit: I had a much darker ending in mind, but I felt you guys deserved a hopeful ending so I cut it so enjoy).
