Please eat like a human

Den began, "Yes. Because there's too much concentration of caffeine in a coffee, but...."

He waited for Stella to finish his sentence or at least realise what he was trying to say, but she tilted her head at him and blinked her eyes three times.

Den did not know this, but this was Stella's usual response when she was confused. She would tilt her head and blink there times. Anyone who saw it would agree that she looked really adorable when Stella did that.

Den sighed as he looked at her confused expression, "It's a coffee flavoured cake. Doesn't have too much concentration of caffeine."

Stella's amber eyes grew bright as she looked from the cake to Den. Den was strangely avoiding looking at her eyes.

Stella said, "Thank you!! Thank you so much!!!!! Oh, I love you."

She then began to eat a cake, looking very much like a happy child.

Den was in a daze and by the time he snapped back, Stella had already finished half the cake. He said, "Slow down. And keep some for tomorrow. Now, I also got this for you."

Stella looked up, brown cream smeared around her lips. She said, "I get another gift? But today's not my birthday."

Den: "Of course I know that. And McCartney, please eat like a human."

Stella licked away the cream around her lips and looked at Den in anticipation.

Den took out another box and gave it to her.

Stella opened it and looked at Den with a dazed expression. "A mobile? That too the latest version of Apple? This is too much."

She tried to shove the box back into Den's hands but he was quicker.

Den said, "Don't worry about the price too much. I got it because you said you were bored. Play games on it or do whatever you want to. At least it will take your mind off running around."

Stella looked at the mobile with a complicated expression. "What exactly it is that you do, Sharp?" She asked as Den stood up with her plate and the unfinished cake.

"Oh, didn't I tell you? I'm an investor." Den said as he walked out of the room.

Another month passed by as Stella continued to live in Den's cottage. She could now walk around easily enough and had already explored the whole cottage and the surrounding forest.

Stella did not dare to go very deep in the forest as Den had warned her to the presence of wild animals.

Stella had been out of doors the whole day and had returned back just as the sun was setting. "Hey Sharp, I'm starving. Is there something to...." Stella stopped midway as she noticed the people sitting around the living room.

There was Den, who she had expected. Then there was June, a very kind vampire friend of Den's who had helped Stella do various everyday things like bathing when she was injured.

But there was one other person whom Stella had never met before. She knew him, but she had never met face-to-face with the person.

Stella walked in and said, "Oh hell no. Don't tell me.... Allen Dews?!?!?!?!"
