"Not really. I just couldn't stop listening when you were shouting that loud to get noticed." Stella said in a small voice.
Allen walked upto her and pulled Stella in his lap. He wrapped his arms around her and sighed, "Oh.... You're so warm. I love it."
Stella did not reply.
"Why don't you use your unbelievable speed to tidy up your room?" Allen asked.
Stella spoke in a small voice, leaning into Allen's embrace, "I don't like using those powers. I don't even know why I have those. I wanted to show them to you all so that we could figure something out."
Allen said as he put his chin on top of Stella's, "Yeah. That's a big mystery. Why do you have these powers?"
"Do you think it's because I've known about and been with vampires for so long?" Stella asked, turning to look at Allen's face.
Allen was silent before he laughed, "Puuuu...
I'm gonna have to applaud your imagination shortcake. You've known about us for what, like half a year? I dated June for three years before I was turned. You would think I would be a super vampire now."
Stella was silent. Her eyes suddenly widened in horror and she tried to shrink out of Allen's embrace.
Allen wrapped his arms tightly around her and said, "Sorry. I'm sorry. I should not have thought that. I'm really sorry. I'm not used to controlling my thoughts."
Stella slowly calmed down and said, her voice shaking, "But it can't be? You said I'm warm. And Sharp.....he...."
"Yeah. He was thinking that your blood tasted too good for you to be a vampire." Allen finished, a shudder running down his spine.
"So why do you think this is happening to me?" Stella asked.
Allen shrugged, "I don't know. But we'll try our best to find out. And you know, don't worry. You'll always be shortcake to me."
Stella grinned, "Even if I turn into some half turned vampire who has no control over herself?"
Allen was taken aback for a minute before he smiled, "If you can joke about it, I guess you're not disturbed." He kissed the top of Stella's head and said, "Yes. Even then you'll be my warm plushie."
Stella smiled but the next moment it turned into a sigh. "You should go. I don't want to be torn apart to pieces by June."
Allen chuckled and stood up, "She's worried. That's all. You did manipulate me and I was out for three hours."
Allen said goodbye and the next instant his voice could be heard on the ground floor.
Stella heard as Allen and June left.
She sighed inwardly, "I know you're sorry June. And I know you can't help it. You love Allen. I don't really blame you for treating me like a threat."
Stella was almost done and night had come outside her window when she said, "Hi Simon." "Don't be mad. I'll try. I'm just too tired to." she added as a frown appeared on Simon's face.
Simon walked over and sighed, "I'm sorry. It's just that.....I don't like people getting into my head."
Stella's head snapped up, "You're thinking how difficult it can be?! Let me tell you. It's as difficult as to stop our five senses. Like stopping to breathe! Like stopping to listen!!"
