A new weapon

Stella sat panting for a few minutes before her mind began to work. She smiled a little and winced when she tried to move her hand, it was surely broken.

But Stella had just discovered a new weapon. She would be able to win any fight with her manipulating powers. But right now, she needed to get away from here before this bloodsucker woke up.

Stella looked around and found a small stick within arms reach. "Lucky!!!!!" she thought to herself and grabbed it.

Then, with her left hand, Stella tore away the part of her jeans Mazata had ripped. She tied the stick to her right hand with the cloth and sat lump again.

After a few more minutes, Stella sighed, "Ok. Come on Stella. No one's coming for you. Let's get you home. There we go!!" She talked to herself and pulled herself up with the help of her left hand. She tried to put her wait on her left leg, but it was impossible.

Stella searched her pockets but her mobile seemed to have fallen out of her pocket sometime.

"Oh well, guess we'll have to skip the whole way back, won't we?" Stella muttered to herself and found a nice piece of stick to lean on. She had walked a few paces with the help of the stick when her stomach growled.

"Oh you have to start your drama too, don't you? Shut up while I try to reach to safety." Stella snapped.

In this way, talking to all her body parts, Stella walked for she did not know how long.

"The good thing is I'm not bleeding. Don't want to get dizzy and pass out in the middle of the forest." Stella muttered to herself as she rested, leaning on a tree.

Stella was beginning to walk again when she heard footsteps once more. Vampire footsteps again.

She almost groaned before she recognised them. Stella was ecstatic as she shrieked, "Sharp!?!?!? SHARP!!!!!!" Sure enough, she saw the forest from a different angle suddenly.

She was running, following the scent of something. Stella wondered what it was? It smelt too sweet for her taste.

Stella had not yet pulled herself out of Den's mind when he came into view. He was beside her in a flash and about to wrap his arms around Stella when she suddenly took a defensive stand.

Den stiffened and Stella realised what she had done. She smiled weakly and rested her head on Den's chest. "Good news is, no blood." she said.

"Yeah. No blood. But a lot of swelling." Den said as he scooped Stella in his arms and adjusted her position so that her broken arm would not hurt.

Stella was about to reply when both of them suddenly stiffened and a growl escaped their lips.

"One of them is coming." Stella said.

Den nodded and looked in the direction he had seen Mazata collapsed. "We should leave." he said, and began walking in the opposite direction.

"Shouldn't we hide and wait?" Stella asked. Upon getting a raised eyebrow from Den, she continued, "We can hide at a safe distance and I can listen in on their minds. I think it would be better to get to know what they think."

Den was a bit taken aback at Stella's words.

What the hell went on in this girl's mind?
