Chapter 1

"You have to die in order to live, and I had to live in order to die." Read the first page of the large book. The group of five high school students sat in a circle reading the first page over and over. They never knew the meaning behind that quote. Not even K.C who had worshipped Satan much longer than the rest of her friends.

"So any ideas on what this bullshit means? Or are we going to continue to worship big red blindly?" Cole asked. Still sitting on the ground he leaned back onto Zeva's bad with his hands behind his head.

"You guys are fucking stupid," Alexandra grumbled. She was leaning on her fist which was propped up on her leg. Alexa had, had a troubled childhood so she had an idea of what the quote meant. "In my opinion the dumb quote means that you have to see hell before you're strong enough to withstand the rest of your life."

"By hell-" Kade had started.

"By hell I mean a troubled past," Alexa interrupted. Everyone sat there for a few moments considering the idea. Each person having their own troubles and past. Yet it took then so long to figure out the real meaning behind a silly quote.

"It makes sense if you think about it. Satan was once an angel. He wanted to take over Heaven and created an army. His plan failed and God sent him to hell where he could rule there. Satan fell from heaven meaning he's a fallen angel. To live is to die, to die is to live. Satan doesn't believe in the same things God does," K.C explained. The group of teens agreed and continued to turn through the satanic book for another hour.

"So we all agree with our positions in the group yes?" K.C asked. The four people within the circle nodded. "Good, let's go over the list. I'm in charge of ordering the needed ingredients for whatever the book wants us to do, the hacking and basically anything with tech or the dark web. Zeva and Kade is in charge of using those ingredients or whatever to prepare the ceremonies. Alexa is in charge of picking out victims and secluded areas. And Cole is in charge of killing the victim before or after the sacrifice," K.C explained.

With that the group made a blood offering to Satan by signing their first and last names in the book with their own blood. As expected their names glowed against the old paper a sign of acceptance. Before anyone could say anything they heard a car pull up in the driveway. Zeva's mom was home from work.

"Shit," Zeva grumbled. All five of the teens scrambled to clean up their mess before her mom entered the house. Alexa shoved the book under the bed. Cole scrambled into the connected bathroom to get rid of the bloodied napkins and clean the dirty knife. Kade quickly finished wrapping his hand and made sure everyone else's was wrapped. Zeva, Alexa, K.C and Kade scurried down the stairs with Cole close behind after shoving the knife under the bed with the book and the napkins flushed down the toilet.

The girls rushed into the living room and quickly flipped on the TV while the boys rushed into the kitchen to "make popcorn." And just in time Zeva's mom entered the house. The five teens quietly tried to catch their breath as Zeva's mom entered into the kitchen.

"I'd say that's a new record," Alexandra whispered.

"I'll say," Zeva whispered back. The three girls listened as Zeva's mom scolded the boys for trying to make popcorn the wrong way, they all giggled as her mum tried to wack the boys with the mail she brought in.

"Ack! Watch it will you!" Cole shouted as he got hit with spam mail.

"Next time you boys stay out of my kitchen if you're going to make that bullshit popcorn got it!" Michelle scolded. They boys dodged the mail and hopped over the couch to sit beside the girls.

"Damn it how does paper have a painful affect!" Cole whined.

"Its not the paper Cole, it's the force behind it, plus mum was holding multiple pieces of mail so the paper had a harder feel to it," Zeva explained. The angry boy said nothing just simply laid his hands behind his head and watched the news.

The group of five had only been friends for about three years, some longer than others. But they were all very close, this was the first time they had gotten their hands on a official satanist book and sealed a "deal," if you would. They knew all too well what they had gotten themselves into and they weren't worried about the life risks they face. They were afraid of their families finding out.

Sorry this is so short but I thought it was a good place to leave off for this chapter. Hope you enjoyed.
