"Sorry, I'm late because of some inevitable circumstances", said Taehyun between his irregular heavy breathing.

Mark: "Well well well....looks like the prince has been awakened. What's the time right now, Your Highness?", he asked looking at Taehyun cockily.

Mr Shi Hyuk: "We'll let you off the hook this time Taehyun, don't repeat it."

Mark: "I think someone here needs to make an explanation. I hope you DO realise its not your owned bar that you make an appearance anytime you want sir!"

Taehyun: "I think I DID apologize si- whoever you are." He snapped.

Mark: "An apology isn't what I need, tell me where you were all this time and why are you late to class especially when you all were given a questioning notice, by 12 minutes." He glanced at his Rolex and asked.

You don't know why but you just went------

HE WAS WITH ME INVESTIGATOR!

The whole class including Taehyun stared at you in awe.

He looked quite amused and wanted to hear what you were going to say next.

Mark: "Is that so Mr Kim?"

Taehyun: "Certainly is, I was with her", he hissed.

Mark: "And why exactly were you two together? Mind you, Ms Y/n came in way before you."

Taehyun just started to say something when you interrupted and took charge.

Y/n: "He and I actually had to do some discussions regarding the last psychology assignment. Since he's new, I extended a hand to help with his backlog haha-", you thought he would be convinced but that ending laughter of yours gave away maybe.

He looked and scanned the both of you and turned away.

Mark: "Take your seats then and we'll start."

You both did as instructed and Mark asked you all random questions which were hard to make out WHY he asked as they were highly irrelevant. Like..what the hell do your grandma's socks have to do with the fire?! "Mental this one, hear me," you thought.

And one more thing that kept you occupied was Taehyun scanning you throughout the interrogation. He only looked away when the investigator called out his name occasionally.

Perrie hits your back and you go "OUCHH"

Mark notices, "Is there a problem Y/n and Perrie?"

"NO SIR", you both respond in a chorus.

Once he's back to what he was doing, interrogating others, Perrie slapped your shoulder again, "Are you two dating?", she whispered.

"NO!! ARE YOU MAD?", you whisper-squealed.

"Then why were you with him?"

"I wasn't you idiot! I just said that to save him. The old investigator would have given him a hard time and wasted time too, so I said so", you shrugged.

"Ahhh...someone's catchin' feelin's I seeeee", she cooed in your ear.

"Someone doesn't seem to wish to see Yoongi the entire week I see", you smiled.

"There you go threatening me again..bruh", she shrugged and rested her head on her arms on the table lazily.

Mark called out your name and interrogated you. It took about 30 minutes and you joined the class again. Once Perrie's turn was over, Taehyun had to go in. He seemed to sweat 3 times more than the time when he entered the class. It was strange. The aircon was on and was actually on 22 degrees, so it was legit cold in the classroom but he was sweating, and by his actions you could make out, it was cold sweat, the one someone breaks into when they're scared of something happening ahead, but why would he be scared? Could it be because of the investigation?

You already sensed something off between Taehyun and the investigator, they both looked at each other in a cold and playful way. Just like enemies. Did they know each other or something?

"MR. KiM TaEhyUn", Mark smirked.

Taehyun quietly went in. You didn't leave.

It had been an hour! On an average, it could the other kids 25 minutes maximum, but an hour for Taehyun doesn't make sense, all the more, he was a new student who didn't know anything about the teachers or the campus. So why did Mark question him for 1 hour?!

Your thoughts were interrupted by a hand pat on your shoulder. You turned to see it was only Jin.

"You done?", he asked casually.

Y/n: "Hmm..you?"

Jin: "Yeah me too, that man's intimidating though"

"O and umm..sorry but I wanted to ask, were you really with that new lad? This morning? What you told Mark..that's true?"

You were left speechless.....you didn't know what to say now. If you said yes, it would lead to misunderstandings and if you said no, it would mean and show that you lied in class and to Mark which you actually did.

Y/n: "Oh umm...yeah, we just met for a minute or two. Nothing else, work umm...yeah work...psycho-lo-gy *cough*"

"Oh ok..ok", he sounded disappointed. "See you later then"

Jin's POV

Y/n seems to hide things from me now. She forgot that I was the one who kept her going along with Perrie all these years. She forgot my value now, or maybe... I never was that significant for her to even spare a thought about. Life is such huh? Kay, let's see...

With this, I called Yoongi immediately.

Ranting was something I did to calm myself down other than eating. And talking to Yoongi was the only way to get something out of my head, he sure is younger but my only hope other than Hoseok. My two best friends...I wish we all were together right now.

*on a call*

"She doesn't love me anymore, I might do something wrong now." I broke down.

"Hyung, calm down, we'll talk this out. Doing something before analyzing the situation is wrong. Don't cry or no japchae tonight. Come to the dorm. Han is out right now. We can talk comfortably and DONT CRY!", Yoongi said through the phone.

[Hyung=elder brother in Korean (man to man)

Japchae=food under Korean cuisine

Han= roommate of Jin and Yoongi]

"I just hope she's okay and doesn't hate me, I can't live without her presence even though I don't show it.", he cries more and sniffs innumerable times.

"Yes, come here first hyung, don't worry, she doesn't hate you"

"Okie, I'm hanging up and coming." *sniff* *sniff* *sniff*

*call ends*

"Hey, Jin, what's up??"

It was Perrie.

"Hi Pera, I'm just going to the dorm."

(Jin used to treat Perrie like his little sister and he and only he calls her Pera out of love)

"Oh...you look tired...A-Are those tears????

Heyyyyy what happened huh?? Tell me!!!", she screamed.

"No no, I yawned so I shed some tears, nothing happened"

I gave her the best smile I could to reassure her that everything was okay. Telling her that I was in love with her best friend's first love wasn't exactly a great idea, especially when she herself is crushing over someone else.

"I gotta go now. Yoongi is waiting. See you Pera!"

I hugged her and left.

(Perrie thought- He didn't even call me Pera Pera noodles and didn't even tease me about being with Yoongi....whats wrong with him?)

"I'm okay", I mumbled to myself..."Everything will be just fine. Life must go on"
